I had an excellent experience with DoubleTake Auto Spa in Fremont. From the moment I contacted them, the entire team was professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely focused on making sure I understood my options before making a decision. What really stood out to me was their attention to detail. They took the time to explain the different protection and detailing options, answered all of my questions, and made sure the work was done properly rather than simply trying to upsell additional services. The quality of the workmanship was outstanding, and the finished result exceeded my expectations. Sandra and David were especially great to work with. Their communication, professionalism, and knowledge made the entire process easy and stress-free. You can tell they take pride in what they do and genuinely care about their customers and their vehicles. If you're in the Fremont/Bay Area and looking for a shop for PPF, ceramic coating, window tint, paint correction, or detailing, I highly recommend DoubleTake Auto Spa. They treat your vehicle like it's their own, and the results speak for themselves. Definitely a 5-star experience and a shop I would trust with my vehicle again! read more

Great customer service and staff is so knowledgeable about the services they offer. No upselling- truly just telling you their recommendations for each and every customer without pressuring you. I did the 3 year ceramic coating. Took a full day. It's been a little over 1.5 years and my car still shines like it's new. Highly recommend this place! read more

I highly recommend DoubleTake Auto Spa for window tinting. I have had zero complaints about my experience, and in fact, I liked them so much that I have already been a repeat customer. I took in my 2026 Tesla Model Y for window tinting twice: once for 15% rear sides and 30% rear windshield, and the second for 70% on front sides. Got the XPEL Plus. The tint itself was perfectly applied, but the most outstanding part of working with Doubletake is the customer service. Sandra was friendly and highly communicative. David was really fun to work with and made you feel like he had your back from the moment he walked through the door. Prices were reasonable as well, based on multiple quotes I got from different places through Yelp. If you're looking for a place that does an absolutely perfect job with enthusiasm, this is the place to go! read more

Purchased a new Tesla model S and wanted the best car protection and window tint. Saw an AD on IG for DTA and my husband inquired about protection and tint. They go through all the different tints and what would work depending on taste and look you want. The quality of communication and detail was awesome. We left our car in their hands while we were on vacation and they continued to keep us updated with how our vehicle is doing. Staff here is amazing and friendly. I recently bought my wife a new Mercedes GLC 43 AMG, and while we were super excited about her 'dream car' itself, the dealership really missed the mark on the delivery. We found an empty cookie bag and candy wrappers in the back -- definitely not the "new car" experience we expected. I wanted to fix that and surprise my wife with a true "brand new car" moment, so after researching detailers, I booked an appointment at Double Take Auto Spa. From the very first call with Sandra, I knew I made the right choice. She walked me through all the options and understood exactly what I wanted: a detail so good inside and out that it would make my wife feel like she was seeing her car for the first time again. When I arrived, David checked me in and did a very thorough inspection of the interior & exterior. He answered all my questions, made thoughtful recommendations, and even told me which services I didn't need -- which says a lot about their honesty & professionalism. I really appreciated that level of care. Throughout the process, David kept me updated, asked for extra time so certain treatments could cure properly overnight, and followed through on every update. Communication was excellent. When I brought my wife to pick up the car, the surprise was absolutely worth it. The team made the car look stunning -- spotless, shiny, and truly like new inside and out. My wife lit up, and honestly, I felt that same 'new dram car' excitement all over again too. I paid top dollar for a high end job, top end service, and they delivered to my expectations. Worth every penny. Double Take Auto Spa brought the "new car magic" back and made my surprise for my wife unforgettable. She got her dream car finally delivered. Highly recommend! read more

Worst experience ever. I would never recommend this place to anyone!! The lady Sandra was so rude. I requested a service done on my car and she refused due to my car being "too old". Disappointed read more

David and crew did a super awesome job with my mustang! I bought it used and it was a former rental fleet vehicle. To say it looks brand new is an understatement. It looks incredible now. The car is so shiny and glossy it is almost like a mirror and as clear as one too. David even took the time to heat the fabric top to open the strands so the ceramic coating was fused deeply with the top. And he double layered the coating for the fabric top as well. The amount of care for this former rental was above and beyond. I am really happy I brought my mustang here. Auto spa is a pretty spot on. They knocked it out of the park. Sandra was super friendly and laid out everything I needed to know clearly so there was no confusion about the pricing and I was able to select exactly what I needed. I reccomend doubletake fully. Even though this was a former rental vehicle its best looking days are ahead. Thanks doubletake! read more
