This is a spot that was completely new to me. It is very nicely decorated inside with ample seating, and they even have an outdoor area that they seem to rent out for events. We were sat fairly quickly. They did get steadily busier the longer we sat there which contributed to higher wait times for the food and for the server to come around and refill drinks. So that's something to look out for. We ordered the Dominican breakfast. Unfortunately, they were out of mangu for the day. My husband did his with mofongo, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. I did mine with potatoes which I did not like at all.

Food is authentic Dominican food not sure what others are nagging about... the atmosphere and service are amazing and a bit more classy than other Dominican Restaurants in the area. Clean, good ambiance, definitely not trashy or ghetto. My parents are both Dominican and we owned a few restaurants in the Bronx, NY since the late 80', so I have been around Dominican food since I have recollection. Prices are great for breakfast and overall ok in the evenings. I celebrated my 50th bday here and was delighted by the service and attention.

The filete de pescado ala plancha was excellent. The sauce was light and was recommended. Serves with rice and maduros. Josney was a great bartender, nice chat with him. Hard worker. Will definitely be back!

A friend recommended this restaurant, and I immediately checked out the reviews. Based on the reviews, I felt skeptical that this was going to be a good Dominican Republic restaurant. As always, though, I need to try it for myself before making a sound decision. I'm so glad I did. We went during lunch and it wasn't too busy, this place is pretty new. I had been to this place when it was another restaurant, and I will say they did a great job at redoing the inside. Lots of seating, a nice bar area, and an outdoor patio with plenty of seating as well with nice decor (I'd definitely do a small birthday party or event there). The restaurant also has lighting and speakers throughout, so you know that at a certain part of the day, my Dominicans throw it down party style. Let's talk about food.... started off with some beef empanadas, and they were good. Not greasy, crunchy outside, and flavorful filling. They were brought out with some pique, and it was fire , oh so good. I could eat that with everything! The 4 golpes con mamgu was delicious. The mangu was suavecito. The chefs did not cheap out on the pickled red onions.‍ The pernil with habichuelas rojas (red beans) and rice took me back home good. Arroz con gandules with pollo a la plancha (which was a huge chicken breast) did not disappoint. Oh, and how could not mention the Morir Soñando which is like an orange Creamsicle in a glass, delicious. Ended the meal with a little cafecito. Our server was awesome, very attentive. She was such a pleasure to speak with. Very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations The experience was great, and i will definitely be returning. Hopefully, it will be later in the evening so I can get dancing bachata with all the lights and music .

I picked Batch while walking by because it had the cutest vibe but we weren't expecting much. We were greeted by Rachel, the manager, at the host stand. She didn't just lead us to our table, she walked with us. She asked us if we were from the area and what brought us in. It was all small talk but felt genuine. She waited until we were seated to hand us or menus and it didn't feel rushed. Gabby, our server, showed confidence and love for the place when she introduced herself. They make everything from scratch here and Gabby sold us on the eggrolls and mac and cheese to start. However, before those could arrive, Rachel came by with an order of biscuits for us. These were absolutely to die for and the gesture was very kind. The eggrolls, bbq sauce, and ranch were the highlight of our food adventure here. You could tell this was all freshly made. We both ordered burgers and those were very good, hearty, and not greasy. Their house sauce B1 added a perfect element of smokiness to the burger. Gabby's service ensured we always had refills, never had to ask for anything, and the table was always clean. Rachel stopped by and checked on us and also gave us cute glasses to take home with us and coupons to come back for happy hour for some "off menu snacking". So if you're asking if Batch does things differently, they absolutely do. We can't wait to bring our friends next time. Ask for Rachel and Gabby and don't sleep on the eggrolls!

There was so much to choose from, so how could I not try something savory and sweet? The chupacabra was unbelievably delicious with a fluffy buttery biscuit, some of the best mac and cheese (very cheesy!), hot sauce, and crispy juicy fried chicken. It was like a whole southern meal packaged in a sandwich, but it took me two days to finish (it was huge!). The All hallow's eve was a perfect mix of sweet and savory, starting off with a cinnamon roll biscuit that puts both biscuits and cinnamon rolls to shame, crunchy fried chicken, an egg and bacon. It was delicious with and without the maple syrup. The Biscuit Lady was so accommodating and I love the shop's 365 Halloween theme! Every pancake was light, fluffy and very flavorful! The blueberry biscuit crumble and candied walnut banana foster were my favorite pancakes! The strawberry lemon ricotta pancake was not my favorite but that is mainly because I'm not a huge fan of strawberry syrups or any syrup really. I was able to eat every pancake without syrup because they were that flavorful and they also had whipped cream and butter. We also tried the healthier start chicken egg white scramble. I asked the girl if she could recommend me anything to eat since nothing had any ingredients. I asked her to just recommend things to eat for someone why just got off of a 9nhoir flight, anything that she likes to eat. She responded by saying 'idk what you like" but constantly added the word 'reyna' which maked me feel like she was being condescending. I remained clam and reiterated that I'm just really hungry and tired and ask for a simple recommendation of what they had to offer. I noticed I was then receiving dirty looks from people who came from the back to change the cash register. I don't see why people would be so angry and impatient at someone who doesn't know about Cuban cuisine and simply asking what's good! I just received the same response of "idk what you want" but with the word " reyna", which translates in English to "queen".... Bruh If I was a "queen" you think I could get either a simple explanation of the what's in the food they serve or better yet, just toss some savory foods that are edible - I would have devoured them! Instead I felt stupid, disrespected, and insulted. I don't recommend this place if you're curious to try Cuban foods/pastries because the staff has absolutely no patience or give a shit about any words coming out of your mouth. Before returning to the store, we called in advance to ask if we could exchange it for another cake. The first employee placed us on hold for about five minutes. Then another employee came on the line and confirmed, "Yes, you can bring it in and we will exchange it," while apologizing for her limited English. Based on that confirmation, we thanked her and drove all the way from Gardens back to the store. When we arrived, we were given a completely different answer. The server said she would contact the manager, but we were not allowed to speak with the manager directly. The server communicated with the manager by phone in another language, and then typed a response into Google Translate on her phone to show us: "Once the item leaves the store, it cannot be exchanged." We explained again that we had called beforehand and were clearly told to bring the cake in for an exchange. The server contacted the manager again and then typed the exact same message on her phone--without any further explanation, accountability, or apology for the misinformation we were given over the phone. This situation could and should have been handled properly during the initial call. Had we been told the correct policy, we would not have wasted our time and gas driving back to the store. The lack of clear communication and unwillingness to let us speak directly with a manager made the experience even more frustrating. To make matters worse, the cake was not fresh. It tasted old and dry, and we cannot eat it or give it to anyone. It is going to be thrown away. This was a very disappointing and unprofessional experience. I hope the owner reviews staff training, communication procedures, and customer service standards to prevent this from happening to other customers.
