    Carne Guisada - fantastic!
    Hannah M.

Wonderful place. Had a very nice time here. The service was incredibly friendly and welcoming, prices were excellent (lunch specials were like $12 and under), and the place is nicer than expected. I just wanted some good Dominican food and didn't care about the atmosphere but it was lovely inside. Very clean as well with nice bathrooms (walked here from the airport and was sweating profusely from every part of my body so freshening up was crucial). I had the carne guisada and it was a huge portion but that didn't stop me from effectively licking the plate clean. The plantains, rice, and beans were all cooked well. Everything that the people around me ordered looked tremendous as well. If I have one complaint, it's that the michelada wasn't great. To be fair though I consider myself a michelada connoisseur so my standards are high. It was fine but a bit lacking in flavor and too expensive. Overall a great place and would definitely go back. Location is a bit unexciting but it's worth going out of your way.

First time eating here and it was excellent! I tried the shrimp with Mofongo and a coconut mojito because it was happy hour!! Both were delicious...I may have gotten a good buzz! I am a light weight when it comes to alcohol. I would come back the next time I am in town.

    Ensalada De Pulpo

We arrived right before 11pm and were able to order food before the kitchen closed. The mofongo was very good, the octopus salad was ok; the chimi was ok. Being a Saturday we expected some kind of a crowd but it wasn't that busy. The DJ was OK, played some old songs; seems like it's the same everywhere we go... same songs, it's like you already know which song is next in queue... it was good to venture out and experience the place. We will try to come back soon.

    Brownie Sundae

I must say I was extremely impressed with this restaurant! Food was amazing! I highly recommend the oxtails dinner. The oxtail melted in my mouth. Then the dessert... we had the warm brownie with ice cream.. to die for. Servers were very friendly. The overall ambiance was quite elegant and welcoming! Definitely worth the price!

This is a spot that was completely new to me. It is very nicely decorated inside with ample seating, and they even have an outdoor area that they seem to rent out for events. We were sat fairly quickly. They did get steadily busier the longer we sat there which contributed to higher wait times for the food and for the server to come around and refill drinks. So that's something to look out for. We ordered the Dominican breakfast. Unfortunately, they were out of mangu for the day. My husband did his with mofongo, which was absolutely delicious and full of flavor. I did mine with potatoes which I did not like at all.

Food is authentic Dominican food not sure what others are nagging about... the atmosphere and service are amazing and a bit more classy than other Dominican Restaurants in the area. Clean, good ambiance, definitely not trashy or ghetto. My parents are both Dominican and we owned a few restaurants in the Bronx, NY since the late 80', so I have been around Dominican food since I have recollection. Prices are great for breakfast and overall ok in the evenings. I celebrated my 50th bday here and was delighted by the service and attention.

The filete de pescado ala plancha was excellent. The sauce was light and was recommended. Serves with rice and maduros. Josney was a great bartender, nice chat with him. Hard worker. Will definitely be back!

A friend recommended this restaurant, and I immediately checked out the reviews. Based on the reviews, I felt skeptical that this was going to be a good Dominican Republic restaurant. As always, though, I need to try it for myself before making a sound decision. I'm so glad I did. We went during lunch and it wasn't too busy, this place is pretty new. I had been to this place when it was another restaurant, and I will say they did a great job at redoing the inside. Lots of seating, a nice bar area, and an outdoor patio with plenty of seating as well with nice decor (I'd definitely do a small birthday party or event there). The restaurant also has lighting and speakers throughout, so you know that at a certain part of the day, my Dominicans throw it down party style. Let's talk about food.... started off with some beef empanadas, and they were good. Not greasy, crunchy outside, and flavorful filling. They were brought out with some pique, and it was fire , oh so good. I could eat that with everything! The 4 golpes con mamgu was delicious. The mangu was suavecito. The chefs did not cheap out on the pickled red onions.‍ The pernil with habichuelas rojas (red beans) and rice took me back home good. Arroz con gandules with pollo a la plancha (which was a huge chicken breast) did not disappoint. Oh, and how could not mention the Morir Soñando which is like an orange Creamsicle in a glass, delicious. Ended the meal with a little cafecito. Our server was awesome, very attentive. She was such a pleasure to speak with. Very knowledgeable about the menu and gave great recommendations The experience was great, and i will definitely be returning. Hopefully, it will be later in the evening so I can get dancing bachata with all the lights and music .

Highly recommend their Dominican breakfast Their morir sonando was soo good. They also serve dinner and have live music, which I soon will be checking out .

There was so much to choose from, so how could I not try something savory and sweet? The chupacabra was unbelievably delicious with a fluffy buttery biscuit, some of the best mac and cheese (very cheesy!), hot sauce, and crispy juicy fried chicken. It was like a whole southern meal packaged in a sandwich, but it took me two days to finish (it was huge!). The All hallow's eve was a perfect mix of sweet and savory, starting off with a cinnamon roll biscuit that puts both biscuits and cinnamon rolls to shame, crunchy fried chicken, an egg and bacon. It was delicious with and without the maple syrup. The Biscuit Lady was so accommodating and I love the shop's 365 Halloween theme! I can't wait to go back and try their dozens of other fabulous creations!

The menu screams delicious while I was deciding what I wanted. The iced butter pecan coffee was alright. It was on the bland side for me. The Monty biscuit is mighty! I waited about 10 minutes for the biscuit sandwich while sipping on the coffee. It may be best to call your order ahead of time in case you are running short on time. Thanks for the Monty fill up!

We also got the Aussie Chicken Parma and it truly was the best I've ever had and I'm picky with chicken parm. We came straight from the Palm Beach Zoo and so our cold crisp beers and Espresso Martinis were soooo refreshing. We tried the Hummus Plate and Kung Pao Fried Cauliflower and loved them both. The hummus had feta cheese mixed in and thick toast, almost like a Texas toast, to accompany, plus salty green olives, . The cauliflower wasn't too sweet and had a good green dipping sauce. The menu has a lot of comfort food like options. For mains, we had the mini "Big" Brekkie (fried hard), Fish and Chips, and Mushroom Toast. They were good. The payment was a bit glitchy. We wanted to split the bill and my friend basically gave up trying to figure out how to pay with the table QR codes. I tried to change my wireless to the restaurant's after the "Confirm" payment button was non-responsive. Finally, our server let me pay with the station and my friend Zelle'd me half. Isla & Co describes itself self as a taste of Australia and is oriented toward coffee, brunch, lunch, dinner and cocktails. The inside of the restaurant is bright and very echoey. It's filled with green plants.

He chose the potatoes (very good). The biscuits are still the standout here. Light and fluffy and addictive. I got their shrimp and grits. I was able to leave off the onions. The grits are a large grind, so they are not the creamy ones, but have texture instead. On top was lots of green peppers, bacon, cheese, and shrimp. It was quite tasty. I took some home. I remained clam and reiterated that I'm just really hungry and tired and ask for a simple recommendation of what they had to offer. I noticed I was then receiving dirty looks from people who came from the back to change the cash register.
