I left work nearby and had low tire pressure in the middle of a snowstorm and couldn't find self serve air. I stopped here for anything they could do to help get me home. I had to wait a couple of minutes because the manager was helping an older gentleman who's car they had just serviced and noticed that the windshield wiper wasn't working and grabbed his tools fixed it quickly for free so he could get home safely in the storm. Then he saved the day for me and helped me with my tire issue within minutes. I will be back when I need more service because the amount of care they show customers is astounding. Family owned and they treat their customers like family. When I informed Jerry of what I think was wrong with my truck, there was no delay in scheduling an appointment. He scheduled me for the following morning. When I informed Jerry that I needed to coordinate transportation to and from work, he quickly offered me transportation with two friendly mechanics. Upon seeing my invoice, there were two services completed (oil change and replace oil filter) that were initially not discussed and agreed upon. When I inquired about it, Jerry informed me that in the process of replacing my wheel bearing and brakes, the mechanics noticed that I was late on my oil change and they completed that service free of charge. My wife and I started taking our cars here a couple of years ago when we moved into the neighborhood, and we're glad we did. They're honest and reasonably priced, and they have fantastic customer service. They're friendly and never try to upsell us on stuff we don't need. I have been going to maplewood auto since 2008 and I could not be happier, I was in the auto business for 20 years and I can tell you there are some real dirt bags out there but these guys are not one of them. I have had transmission work, engine work, Diagnostics and maintenance work done here and on many different vehicles. John the former Service Manager of many many years has left for a new adventure but there lead Tech Sean is now the new Service Manager and he is awesome. I followed Sean from his last shop and have had him working on my cars for over 22 years. These guys will take care of you and will be honest and fair. they have a great warranty and will only do a job the correct way no shortcuts. I highly recommend Maplewood Auto and I would stake my reputation on them. read more

I called and spoke to Chris. He was able to get my car in for a brake job and got me my car back by the next day. The brakes work just fine now, and they also did an oil change. No upselling. No funny business...I will most certainly be back. Also--the shuttle service is a great perk. I think I found my new local mechanic!! read more

My daughter is a full time college student and was home for the weekend. She needed an oil change and rotation and I had a coupon for both at Maplewood Auto Service. I do most of my family car servicing but didn't have enough time to do it myself. I am also a bit skeptical when it comes to mechanics. My daughter called and scheduled an appointment, however before she left i marked her front left tire. She brought her jeep in and dropped it off. At this point the only contact they had was with my daughter. When her jeep was ready i took her to go pick it up. I went in and paid and confirmed with the adviser that the work was performed. My daughter and I went out to get her jeep. Sure enough, the front left tire had my sharpie mark on it. I went in and once again asked if the rotation was performed. The service adviser assured me it was and even went back and asked the mechanic to confirm, he did. At that point I told them they were lying and that I knew for a fact that the tires were not rotated. Here is where my problem is. I know that regular tire rotation is paramount to the extend the life of your tires. This place sells tires !! Was my daughter the only one this has happened to? Was it a totally isolated incident? Maybe a few cars everyday get by there total lack of detail and honesty!! Word of warning, if you bring your vehicle here for service, be careful !! Especially if you are a person that they may feel would have no idea if the services you paid for, were actually performed. I really regret not marking the oil filter ! I wish no stars was an option, in my opinion this is criminal, I paid for services that were not performed. Also at no time did they offer me a refund !! I will never return to this location and for the life the life your tires, I would highly recommend you do the same !! read more

Either their mechanics didnt have the knowledge or I was lied to that my transmission reverse band couldnt be repaired when I knew it could be. Quoted me $4000 for a new transmission! Got it done somewhere else for half of that. read more

I am very pleased that I called and brought my car in to Maplewood Auto Service. I thought I had to replace the entire transmission. However, after speaking to the service manager, he was fairly sure that it was the transmission power pack and the cost was about 25% of what I thought I would be paying. I found all the employees to be friendly and helpful. I also felt the price was fair. I will go back in the future should I need service. read more
