I just felt so badly for my parents who spent a fortune to have a dozen long stem roses sent to me. They came looking like an amateur had put it together. Frankly the odd colored fillers took away from the beauty of the roses and they actually put the greenery in facing inward. Roses were placed without any artistry or thought. wish I'd taken a better photo of before. But I stood with crutches and a fractured leg and was able to make it look better than what was delivered. And I don't know when florists will stop putting those hideous bows in a bouquet of expensive roses ‍ read more

While i commend Buds and Blooms on how very easy it is to deal with them and to send flowers (I am out of state), I was a bit disappointed with the arrangement they sent my mother. I paid $70 for an arrangement and what she got was primarily greenery rather than flowers. I arranged to sent my sister in law, which I gave a price point of $60, and my mother flowers both on a Friday (I called on a Wednesday) they ended up sending my sister in law's arrangement that day and my mother's on Friday.... maybe some miscommunication some where. While they are lovely arrangements, i just expected a little more flower and design compared to so much foliage. Maybe I will need to be a bit more specific next time. read more

ZERO STARS!! On 12/19/22 I ordered flowers for a delivery. My total was $99.99. I did my order online. About 2 hours after I submitted my order, I received a call from someone at Maple Valley Buds and Blooms noting that they could not complete my order as it did not meet their minimum for delivery ($99.99 DOES NOT MEET THEIR MINIMUM?? WHAT? THATS CRAZY!!). Before hanging up I confirmed the order would be cancelled and I would not be charged. She said "yes" that she had already done the cancellation. Two days later, I notice the completed charge on my credit card statement. I called this florist and spoke to someone who said "yes, it was cancelled on their end". I told her they needed to reimburse me. She then stated that I needed to call "Apple Pay to request payment since that's how I paid". What? I explained that Apple Pay is just a servicer and that my credit card statement shows payment to MAPLE VALLEY BUDS AND BLOOMS. The woman I was speaking to did not understand. She was confident that Apple Pay had my money ‍. I told her that because they accept Apple Pay and because my credit card shows them as who ultimately received payment, she needs to figure it out and that I won't be calling Apple Pay anytime soon. She said she'd research it further and call me back the next day. She didn't call. I will never ever order from here again. I think the following reasons are enough that nobody should recommend or order from them: 1. They take orders online, but then create "minimum" rules after the fact. THEY SHOULD HAVE THEIR MINIMUMS NOTED AND NOT ALLOW ORDERS TO GO THROUGH when the minimum isn't met 2. How can a florist possibly say that $99.99 is not enough to deliver?? THEY CLEARLY ARE TOO EXPENSIVE! 3. They don't understand their payment systems. This is troubling, especially when you are trying to get money that they essentially stole from you after THEY canceled the order! 4. Customer service sucks. There is no excuse to not call someone back when you say you will. Terrible, terrible, terrible. I feel bad that they think they are good enough to maintain business after treating customers this way. 5. They lie. 6. They are thieves. To the owner or management team, I WANT MY MONEY BACK. I have disputed it with my credit card company and will win, but the fact that I've had to take it this far is unacceptable! You should be ashamed. read more

I ordered from a big chain internet florist and they screwed up my order big time. I needed Saturday delivery for my friend who's son died. Saturday was his birthday. The big chain florist called me at 3pm to say they wouldn't deliver it on Saturday. Crisis!!! I called Maple Valley at 3:30 on a Saturday in a panic. No one would do same day delivery. The delivery address was outside their area. The woman I spoke to at this shop was so compassionate about my reason for sending flowers. They added it to the delivery route even though it was out of their way and after hours. It was delivered within an hour and a half of me ordering!!! Just got off the phone with Carla and ordered a large bouquet through Maple Valley Buds and Blooms. ...I'm in CA and I'm sending flowers to my fav Aunt who is beautiful both inside and out. Carla helped me create an equally beautiful bouquet through mixing a couple different styled bouquets on their website. I am so thankful she made the process super easy and seamless..and all with a pleasant tone. I will never...ever...order through 1800flowers or Teleflora again (2 really bad experiences sending flowers to Northern CA...)..I'll order straight through this local shop knowing that the bouquet that will be delivered was created by someone who genuinely cares. Stopped by hoping to get a house warming gift for someone... We ended up getting a succulent in a nice turtle. The selection of gifts was good. Not so much that it would seem that they waste a lot. I called with an unusual request: to send an April Fool's Day bouquet to my mother, who loves anything silly and holidays, to boot. Carla spent a lot of time talking through the idea with me until we came up with something we were both comfortable with - delivering a bouquet that was very underwhelming, and then follow it up with a real bouquet of her favorite flowers, gladiolus. I really appreciate the time Carla took, that she was willing to put their reputation on the line with the crappy first bouquet, and that her driver was on board, too, to do this complex delivery. I even called the day of and they fit it in! My mom added her accounting of the delivery, which made it even better, "Can I brag about having the cleverist kids on the planet? They pulled the best April Fools Day joke on me ever! I answered the door to find a delivery man there with a bouquet of roses. He told me they were from my admiring kids and I was so surprised that I really didn't even notice the broken rose until he left. Being the eternal optimist I just figured it broke on the way to my house and wasn't going to complain. About five minutes later there was another knock on the door and there was the same delivery man with a beautiful bouquet of glads, my favorite flower. On Aug 8, Saturday my friend and I were running some errands. She has a daughter that lives out of state and it was her anniversary. She had sent her daughter some flowers as a surprise. She wanted the flowers to be in a blue planter shaped like a truck. The girl at the florist assured her that they could do this. When her daughter sent her a picture of the flowers when they arrived at her house, my friend was disappointed and frustrated that the arrangement that her daughter received was not at all what she ordered. She went to the florist and spoke to the girl that took the order. The girl said she did not remember that part of the order and that she was sorry. I went online to see if I could find what my friend had wanted, and I was able to locate a blue ceramic planter shaped like a truck. I found it on overstock, eBay, target, and amazon. The prices ranged from $16.00 to over $100.00. This order cost my friend $179.00. All they told her was they were sorry, no offer to resend the flowers which were also wrong. Until my last order, I have been satisfied with the several orders I have placed. The last order was for an arrangement that had a glass hurricane over a candle. It's what made the arrangement look "complete". I happened to see the arrangement that was delivered and it did not include the glass hurricane. When I called to inquire I was told they did not have any of the hurricanes, so gave the arrangement more flowers. I understand the arrangement may not be exactly as shown in a photograph, but was disappointed that they did not inform me of this at the time I placed my order. I would have chosen something else. It felt like they took too much "artistic license" without asking me. The assistant I talked with was very polite, took my number and told me she would have the owner call me back. It has been one week and I have not received a return call. I want to support local businesses, but will not be spending $70 on another arrangement if customer satisfaction does not matter to this business. read more
