Park at your own risk but pay $10 a day.
Katrina R.

We've stayed at Maple Tree Inn for over 6 years and always loved it, but this visit was disappointing. The new parking fee is frustrating--especially since the lot is uncovered, unsupervised, and still "park at your own risk," while other nearby hotels offer free parking. The rooms also seem to be going downhill. Our shower didn't drain well, water pressure was poor, and there was a loud bathroom fan that stayed on past the time we were told it would shut off. Sadly, this experience is making us consider staying elsewhere after many years of loyalty.

Nice hotel good hospitality and great breakfast. The room is comfy with a good size work desk and I like the bedside tiny reading lamp. There's Netflix setup on the TV, easy to login to watch movies. I love the touch-less pancakes machine and miso soup for breakfast.

A nice, reasonably priced hotel. Comfortable room, friendly staff, solid breakfast spread, conveniently located. Thin walls, though. Which is how I know the guy in the room next to mine snores. Loudly. All night long.

I used to like this hotel when I first stayed even though the pool had roaches ... the happy hour was good & they said the roaches were just an issue with the weather .. I came to stay here again tonight and there's roaches in our room.. just hoping to get the money refunded for the room! :) and some DRINKS for the inconvenience .. also their website says they have a evening reception which they no longer do and we planned our whole dinner around this & this caused us a lot of economic issues they don't have it so we really need a refund !

Best sleep I've had in Sunnyvale. Great location next to shopping centers. Hotel parking is easy, all close by. Guest services can be spotty. We had to wait 10 minutes for someone to arrive to check us in. Rooms are clean, quiet and best off all is the free breakfast is amazing. We will for sure return to the Maple Tree Inn.

We had a wonderful stay. We unfortunately had to leave town due to the moss landing fires . They had one room left. Everyone was so friendly flu. We have a service dog which was not an issue at all. They have a wonderful little breakfast which was so nice being as we were planning a trip so everything was so last minute. Though we'd only been to Sunnyvale once if given the opportunity we would definitely pick this hotel again. They also had a nice pool hot tub and gym. Also is in walking distance to Starbucks and Peet's. Also staff of life and I'm sure plenty restaurants and tea places as well

This was my third time at the Maple Tree in four months. The rooms are nice, nothing fancy but nice, they're CLEAN, friendly staff, and the free breakfast in the morning is awesome! Easily a $20 value. Great room prices too! While I've never used the pool it looks nice, lot of lounge chairs, etc.

Ask the Community - Maple Tree Inn

Do they have 1 bedroom separate from living room suites?

No, Maple Tree Inn does not have suites. Sorry.

Is it noisy on Forth of July holiday? We want to escape the fireworks for our pet. Thanks

Maple Tree Inn isn't located near a venue advertising fireworks displays. Also, we are not in a neighborhood known for illegal fireworks. The closest venues to us are Levi's Stadium and Great America Theme Park which are both a short drive away…

Do they have elevators?

Yes, we have two elevators. Hope to see you soon.

What time is check in? Do they hold a deposit? Do they charge for parking? Thank you.

3pm check in. No deposit needed. Free parking

There are only 3 guest parking spots by the entrance to check-in/unload. Most parking is below ground in a garage. There are a few spots towards the back that staff directed us to park in because of the location of our room, though signage said otherwise. Some notes on our room-- It was generally clean though one of our towels was stained (we got a new one by request) & I happened to find a used washcloth left in a dresser drawer. Ick. Ambient or surrounding noise wasn't an issue. The kitchen had a lot of dishware & utensils, but no sponge. The only clock was on the microwave. Between nooks, cabinets, drawers, & the closet, there was a fair amount of storage space. The shade worked well. There was a lot of lamp lighting available. There was a rolling table & chair. The bathroom sink area was outside of the toilet/shower area. Issues-- The thermostat didn't get the room as cool as I tried to set it. The bathroom door & closet door opened on each other. The shower had a little dinge & mold in the corners. The shower head suctioned cups to the wall, making it a weird angle. The water coming out felt like tiny powerful pin pricks. The water flow also created a wind tunnel effect. It was a weird/interesting shower experience! At one point, the ice machine on our floor was out of order. Breakfast items included ingredients to make tacos including pulled chicken or carnitas & lots of fixins, waffle making, yogurt, fruit, generic baked goods & breads, eggs, potato cakes or home fries, sausage links, oatmeal, cereals, apple juice & OJ, coffee & teas. Nice touches-- Board games were available to borrow. Media room was spacious with seating & a pool table. Coffee & hot water were always available in the lobby. Staff, from the front desk to maintenance, were friendly & helpful. Overall, a pretty ok stay.

I parked my car and I filled out their form with my car information and I told the front desk that I wanted to use my phone as my room key and the front desk staff acknowledged. After I checked in, I receive a text about my car has been registered to park in the property, but they put the wrong license plate number and when I tried to use my phone as my room key it said "need to see front desk to activate". I called the front desk and was put on hold for about 10 minutes. When I was finally helped I told them about the wrong license plate number and I gave them the correct license plate number. The next morning I get a ticket because my car wasn't registered i their system. So clearly when I called, they didn't even bother to actually update my license plate information. So I had to go to the front desk again to fix the issue. Because of this experience, I will not be booking from this place again, even though I liked the property. I don't need the extra stress.

(-): no pool (but I don't usually use the pool) (-) exhaust fan in the bathroom appeared to be broken I am a sucker for 2.5 star business hotels because they offer more useful amenities / perks than a 4-5 star hotel. Breakfast is average, but still a nice perk as there is one less meal to worry about. Usually it consists of eggs, sausage, carbs (pancake maker, oatmeal, bagels, muffins). There's also a variety of juices and milk as well. The location is central to a decent amount of food (Indian, Chinese, Vietnamese), and also near Sunnyvale's auto row. We felt super safe as we saw many locals walking on the street throughout the day so we also took a walk around the neighborhood, too. Overall, I would stay again.
