I was looking for a new dental facility with online booking as a non negotiable as well as a second opinion on a problem that was bothering me with my gums. Life is pretty busy these days with 2 little ones and I needed to be able to schedule at my own convenience which is usually at 10 at night when the households quiet and no dental office on earth is open... so this experience checked both my boxes in those departments! Patty his assistant was quick but efficient with my X-rays & the assisting of my cleaning. I was super impressed at all the modern equipment they had. I had an excellent visit with Dr. Thomas Vincent. He made sure to introduce himself, had great chemistry, respect and flow with all of his staff. He was easy to talk to and answered all my questions. He was very informative about everything that was being done same day and made some great recommendations about things to do in the future. Not only did he care about my teeth health & bone health but he was the first dentist I've ever that suggested a teeth whitening! I've always wondered but no one's ever suggested it. Im super excited to be getting it done and can't wait to see the down the road progress of my dental health as well as cosmetic improvement! Especially in a selfie generation, your smile is everything! The payment portion of everything was pretty smooth as most of everything insurance wise is done online and prior to the appt. I really did enjoy the straightforwardness of everything. Nothing was confusing as another comment on here might've suggested, the person in charge of finances was clear & confident in answering any questions or concerns I had. I spent a LOT of money getting veneers here and ever since then I have been having problems with Smiles dentistry in Maple Grove, ever since it is under new ownership. They don't stand behind the work they do or they do work that isn't a permanent fix. The first thing that the doctor said to me was I anticipated you coming back by they way we fixed your tooth the last time. If he knew I would be back, why didn't he suggest or fix the veneer so I didn't have to come back. Instead he let me leave with the idea that I would be back, either sooner or later. That tells me that they did the cheapest, easiest fix, and did not permanently fix the problem of my veneer falling out, and the chances of me having to return would be great and I would have to pay more money. Now he expects me to pay more money for sub par work that wasn't meant to be a permanent fix. Nobody explained any of my options and now this is the THIRD time I have to have this tooth/veneer replaced. Smiles Dentistry as a corporation name did the work, so smiles dentistry should fix the problem. The doctor basically told me to go find the original doctor that initially did the work and have him guarantee the work. This owner at Maple Grove did the work the second time and when I came in the third time his first statement was I figured you would be back. That doesn't tell me that he fixes teeth to permanently help the client. He fixes them to a level that is sub par and just do happens more beneficial for his finances. He told me I knew you would be back and that he didn't even have to look at the X-rays tells me that he KNEW what was going on my mouth was not permanent. No way am I bringing my family back to this place. They used to love going to this location but it is not what it used to be. read more

saw one of there oral surgeons at different location, won't mention his name, had a tooth pulled, went well. after wards it wouldn't stop bleeding, was told to call if there was a problem. it bled for 13 hrs. no return call and we are going on twenty four hours later. it is a shame they aren't as quick as collecting your money. wouldn't recommend them and will be taking my business elsewhere read more

Confusing, unclear. This entire process has been draining. Made a payment plan for what I thought would include everything. Not everything was included in those payments now having to pay more money on top of it all. Other time when I've gone and they are supposed to be open, they are closed. Have had countless phone calls with the Maple Grove location personally and have been told something incorrect every time. Super unclear with everything all the time. Don't go to Maple Grove Smiles Dentistry. Since I've now been screwed I'm continuing to have to stay with the company to finish this ongoing process and go to Plymouth Smiles Dentistry. I sat for 30 minutes after my appointment started with no one checking in or updating me. Finally the Dentist came in, went through procedure plan and left. After waiting for 40 more minutes I asked how much longer as my appointment was scheduled for 90 minutes. Was told 45 minutes to an hour before the dentist would be back and then an additional hour to fix a chipped tooth. I left as I was told to plan for 90 minutes vs over 3 hours. Completely unprofessional that no one updated me and just left me there waiting. Would never go back or recommend. read more

This clinic is awful at scheduling or keeping staff. They cancelled my 2 kids' appointments twice, then lost us to follow up. I got them rescheduled and then they cancelled on us 3 times. My kids haven't had a cleaning in well over a year. By the time I got them all in (now 3 kids with 3 visits), they took my first child back 45 minutes after their appointment, a full hour after we'd arrived. We will be finding a new dentist ASAP and with an entirely different practice. read more

ETA 2020 - My current dentist told me that I'm close to getting a root canal because they didn't see a cavity for years!!! He said the enamel is so thin he can see the pulp. He was disgusted that at their work and lack of attention. Avoid this place! --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Money driven might be correct. This was a local, good enough for now kind of place until my second crown and I wouldn't even consider it that, especially after I learned more from my new dentist today. Dental Hygienist - She is militant and no matter what, accuses you of not brushing and flossing enough. You can hear and feel the disappointment ooze out of her and she's not that gentle either. I always hoped that the doctor would be the one doing the cleaning. She even printed out a crappy PPT she made of how to brush and floss for me to take home. It's nice that she took the initiative, but seriously? $$$Crowns$$$ - First crown was okay. Second crown was terrible. Same person did it. I had so much pain from the bad fit that I was on max ibuprofen and acetaminophen until I could go back in a few more times. I saw my new dentist today and he told me that the first crown was not the best fit because of the gap between the teeth. Then he told me my second crown was totally unnecessary. I was told I should get a crown because my tooth was cracked. My current dentist told me that a tooth can be cracked for 10+ years before it needs attention, if it ever even needs it. He said that I should never, ever believe anyone that tells me otherwise. He added that even if the crack got worse, the pain would escalate slowly and not be some big dental emergency like I was lead to believe. This second crown was also a poor fit because I have a big gap between my teeth now. Food constantly gets trapped and my gums are sore from that and flossing it out. Not only unnecessary but now I have to pay nearly $1k more to have it redone. Front desk and staff - Not sure if the same people are still there because of turnover. There was one nice, genuine person but otherwise... They are competent but fake MN nice and talk sh!t about each other and their personal lives in front of patients. What else is new? Gossiping and being fake are the state sports. Just tone it down and act normal. Everyone knows everyone else is being fake, how is that behavior perceived as polite? During cleanings and such, they were a little sloppy, never provided enough suction or rinsing, or ask how you were doing, and they seemed new, but not quite catching on in the intuitive bed-side manner kind of way. The dentist is nice enough and gentle but I was mislead, the work was not great and hopefully, if you are reading this, you will find another place. read more

I love this dentistry office! The ladies at the front desk, the dental hygienists, and the dentists are all incredibly friendly and kind. Everyone is more than willing to answer all of my questions, but I typically don't have many to ask because they are so good at explaining everything in advance! Making and rescheduling appointments is incredibly easy and I'm never kept waiting during an appointment. I've had X-Rays, cleanings, gum treatments, fillings, and wisdom tooth removal since becoming a patient at this office and all of the work that I've had done went beautifully. Money driven is an understatement. My husband and I both went there because they accepted Care Credit. We drove over 300 miles round trip. I do have family there so that was a great time to kill two birds with one stone. I had two crowns the "made while you are there", a cleaning and x-ray's which drew us in there. I also had a few other procedures I didn't know existed. I believe I had 3 cavities and I wanted a former filing on a front tooth replaced. The staff was friendly and the hygienist was very kind. I expressed every single visit that I was very worried about cost. My filing in the front tooth looks worse than it did, the "made while you are there or in an hour" is an absolute rip off if you are financially strapped. They say they WON'T send out of crowns! If the crowns had been sent out it would have been approximately 1/3 of the cost. One of my other filings I asked to have a corner filed down because it was sharp. He filed, it's still sharp. I was told I could apply for another Dental Credit Card called "Smile Financial". The debt we have from this provider is outrageous. The credit cards we used had a pay by date for low interest. We are on Social Security and have over $5k+ in debt plus the staggering interest charges. It has crippled us. If you need a cleaning, a simple filing, then this is a nice clean place. If you need more care than that, check out your options. Wells Fargo does off dental credit that has no time limitations. Very very disappointed in the dentist for many reasons. read more

This is definitely a money driven dentist office. I initially went in for teeth whitening. Understandably, they wanted to do an exam with X-rays. I was told I had symptoms of possible gum disease that if left untreated could involve the bone. I purchased the extensive cleaning and multiple follow up appts. ( I have never had major issues). After three follow up appts, every 3 months, i was told I needed to come in again in 3 months. I went back to by old dentist & got a glowing report. They added that according to previous appts & today's appt, I should NOT have been a candidate for aggressive cleaning. Plus, Smiles does panoramic X-rays along with another type of X-ray on the same appt. Doing both at same time is not necessary. read more

Amazing! Dr Dan and his assistant Tarah are the greatest I've ever experienced. I had major anxiety and was very nervous going in to the appointment. Both Tarah and Dr Dan were SO SO SO personable and understanding of my emotions. I felt very cared for and felt as if my feelings and questions were all answered. Another great thing? Same day crowns! My crown was made in about 15 minutes. No impressions either! Technology is a great thing! This is definitely my new place for dentistry!! read more

I received a filling here in January. That tooth was infected within a week. I received antibiotics. The filling has now fallen out in June. I am going to another dentist to fix the work. I have never had this type of thing happen. They were also constantly trying to up sell me on everything and get unnecessary procedures. However one good thing is that they have friendly receptionists. read more

Overall: Would never recommend to anyone. Pros: Facility is new, clean, bright, and friendly people. Cons: Be prepared for the dental hygienist to murder your gums, and then tell you its your fault because you don't floss enough. I floss every day. They will then tell you they can cure your "problem" with a laser treatment that is not covered by insurance because there is no evidence of its efficacy to the FDA. I have never had so much pain induced by a dental cleaning, and then received a sales pitch after for a product that we may not know is even effective. My wife and I both had the same experience and long for our family dentist back home. We will never go back to this pop-up dentist shop and will search for a reliable family dentistry that actually cares about your bottom line and health more than their wallet. read more

I went to this clinic for a whitening procedure (which required an exam before hand.) I purchased the whitening, along with the exam and cleaning first customer package. Customer service was awesome. The dentist was so nice and informative during my examination and the cleaning from the hygienist was pleasant as well. The office is equipped with all modern technology from the tools to the tv's over each dental chair. The only reason I rated 3 stars and not 4/5 is because I was not pleased with my whitening procedure, which is what I initially went there for. My teeth barley changed shades of color. I was in tears the next 3 days my teeth hurt so bad, I was told there would be minor sensitivity, that was NOT the case. I have yet to use the take home whitening trays and solution they provided for a later on follow-up. I will update my review with my experience with that afterwards. I recommend this clinic for everything else but the whitening it was not worth the hundreds of dollars I paid. read more

Worst experience of my life!! You can tell all they care about is getting your money. They told me I needed a crown and root canal but when I went to another doc they told me a filling would do the job.The doctor seems like he may be lacking knowledge and didn't care about my tooth that hurt. He only wanted to talk about the things that made him money. There was a lady who worked there named Jacki or something like that who once I didn't want to make them money didn't seem interested in helping me. I would give this place ten stars if I could. If you are looking for friendly, professional, great at what they, do try this place. I found them as a second choice when I did not care for the way the receptionist was on my first call to a place closer to home. When I called here, I was so impressed with how the first person treated me I decided to give it a go. I was shocked!!! I still am shocked by how I was treated. So friendly. First I was greeted by Jackie up front, and then Dr. Dan came and introduced himself to me and gave me a tour of the clinic. I had full films, exam, cleaning and a large filling replaced all at my first visit. They book enough time so you can get it all done (most times) in your first visit. Every question I asked was taken very seriously and made sure it was answered completely without making me feel like I was a pain. I asked to have the filling done without novocaine and that was fine. Dr. Dan said if it was too close to the nerve we could always stop and numb it up. My only wish is that I could find a general MDs office that would treat me just a bit like this. I have found a new dental clinic for sure. Still in shock. Customer service DOES EXIST. Last note, it only took me a week to get in and I know if I ever had an emergency I would get in asap! read more
