So as a person who has never had surgery, a broken bone, cavities or shots in my mouth, I was extremely nervous to get all four of my wisdom teeth removed today. I came in this morning filled with anxiety but the doctors assured me and talked me through the procedure. I didn't get any local anesthesia/medication, they simply numbed my gums, I didn't feel the shots of novocaine at all, slight pinch at most. Once that was done my whole mouth including my jaw and chin were numb, for me that was the worst part just because it felt odd. Shortly after they started removing my wisdom teeth, I watched the whole thing and it was done in less than 10 minutes. I didn't feel a thing. I was cleaned up and told after care instructions and was able to drive myself home. Numbness lasted a few hours, woke up from my nap and it was gone, I don't have any pain at all other than a little sore. Surprisingly not swollen (I expected to look like a chipmunk) and I'm eating mashed potatoes and drinking water just fine. I'm so thankful for the dentists and how this went and fingers crossed the pain and swelling doesn't increase over night!! Dr. Kumar is an awesome doctor and his staff. Very professional and thorough. He make sure his patients are comfortable throughout the process and they know what to expect. I felt very comfortable the moment I walked through the door. The atmosphere was very pleasant and welcoming, which makes a big difference, especially when it comes to a first impression. I made my first appointment on October 23rd expecting to receive a consultation only for the cost a bridge to replace a gap. When I left that Monday, Dr. Kumar shared what he thought would be best for long term purposes and assured me it would be quick and I would be very pleased. I was impressed on how he took an interest in my situation, even though this was my first visit. I scheduled an appointment for October 26th to start my first step in receiving two implants after extracting two teeth. I was nervous that morning, but he and his assistants talked to me through the process and it was over with quickly like he promise and there was very minimal pain (pressure). I went in to see dr. Kumar for an implant consultation. The staff and dental assistants we're very friendly and made sure I was comfortable before seeing Doctor Kumar. Dr. Kumar did the 3d X-ray which was free in the consultation and he said I was a perfect candidate for an implant. I scheduled an appointment that day to get my implant. The following appointment was the day of my implant which was surprisingly minimally invasive and painless. Dr. Kumar experience is what made me feel confident that his skills is above Superior to recommend him to others. The Implant itself is not noticeable where I cannot feel it and is solid for a lifetime. I was very lucky to have found such a caring place to get my teeth cleaned. I bought a groupon on line and made an appointment to do the cleaning. At that time some things were found while doing the cleaning that really needed to be looked into. I can not tell you how wonderful these people were to me that day. Dr. Kumar came in and explained some things that are happening to my teeth. Also he had them do a FREE cat scan of my teeth and then took me in and explained what was happening in my mouth. Had an appointment for a cleaning. When I showed up, the receptionist had no idea who I was and told me that I couldn't be seen. They scheduled me for a few weeks later. The day before that appointment, I received a call that their hygienist was out for personal reasons and that all appointments were canceled. I've just recently visit this clinic and so far I'm liking it. The hygienist Heidi is really good at cleaning my teeth and explaining what she's doing. She's quick and I like that.
