I think the meat could have had a little more seasoning , but the side of sour cream and picante sauce helped bring more flavor to the skillet. This time I had plain pancakes and they were no were as good as the berry bliss! Triple Berry is a solid breakfast spot for some good eats.

The quality impressed us most. The bagels tasted fresh overall, with great flavor and that satisfying chewy interior you want from a proper NYC-style kettle-boiled bagel. The cream cheeses were especially good; smooth, rich, and packed with bold flavor. I went with a CYO breakfast bagel: one over-easy egg, Muenster, extra bacon, and a light hit of pepper ketchup (iykyk) on a toasted and scooped garlic & herb bagel with chive and green onion cream cheese. Messy, savory, rich, and fantastic. We also grabbed a mixed half-dozen to go, cinnamon raisin bagel chips, and tubs of honey walnut and chive & green onion cream cheese. The bagel chips were especially addictive; super crunchy and they practically shatter like glass. I also spotted a bottle of Martinelli's apple juice in that iconic round glass bottle, which was a fun little nostalgia hit since I grew up drinking it in South Florida. The place itself is bright, clean, and energetic. We arrived around 10:30 on a Sunday and there was a steady stream of people eating in and grabbing to-go orders. Definitely more of a hip, happening little spot than I expected. My only real knock is the price. This visit came to $56.34, which definitely made me wince. I get it though; it feels more like an occasional treat than an everyday stop. We'll definitely be back to try more of the menu, especially that unique-looking pizza, but at these prices... probably not next weekend.

UPDATE: This visit was a bit of a letdown. First, they now charge a 3% surcharge for credit card payments, which wasn't the case about 6-7 months ago. I'm not thrilled about the added fee, but what bothered me more was that I didn't see it disclosed anywhere before the bill arrived. I tried the seasonal maple brown sugar iced latte. It was decent, but overly sweet and way too small to justify the $6 price tag IMO. I ordered the limited-time country fried steak and biscuits with sausage gravy. The steak was easily the highlight of the dish; surprisingly tender, flavorful, nicely sized, and fried properly with plenty of salt and pepper in the breading. The gravy was much weaker, fairly bland with barely any noticeable sausage, and the biscuit was the biggest disappointment. It completely collapsed under the steak and gravy and turned to mush, leaving the whole thing closer to porridge than a proper biscuit. The home fries were excellent though; crispy outside, fluffy inside, and seasoned well. The side pancake may have been the best thing I ate all morning. Thick, fluffy, and substantial, with a generous dollop of creamy whipped butter, a light dusting of powdered sugar, and warm maple syrup. It was EXACTLY what I wanted. Service was good, and the restaurant looked clean and inviting, though it was surprisingly empty for a Sunday morning around 8:30. That definitely wasn't the case on my previous Sunday morning visits. Overall, a disappointing third visit. There were still several bright spots, but the food was inconsistent overall and the new credit card surcharge didn't help the experience. If Yelp allowed half-stars, this one would probably land around a 2.5/5 for me. I'm still willing to give Maple & Hash another shot, but this visit definitely missed the mark. read more

Very Disappointing Service - Management Needs to Take Responsibility…read more I have been coming to this First Watch location for the past four months, and unfortunately, this is now the fourth time I have experienced terrible service. At this point, it is no longer an isolated incident--it appears to be an ongoing management problem. The servers are frequently inattentive, distracted, and fail to properly check on customers, even when the restaurant is not busy. After experiencing the same problems repeatedly, I believe General Manager Zak Paskvan needs to take responsibility for the way this location is being managed. What made the situation even worse was the way Zak handled customer feedback. When customers are explaining legitimate concerns about the service, a general manager should listen, communicate professionally, and try to resolve the problem--not be rude, dismissive, or give customers attitude. After seeing these issues continue for approximately four months, I do not believe Zak is effectively managing this location. In my opinion, First Watch corporate should seriously review his performance and consider replacing him as general manager. I enjoy First Watch, but this particular location needs immediate improvement in both customer service and management. Four bad experiences are more than enough.
