Coopers hawk is always solid. I enjoy the seasonal menu, service, and the vibe. Always busy and alive in that restaurant. Came on a Saturday, I was a former wine club member. I do miss it but I'm on a hiatus since I used to always go. I'll eventually go back. Food is solid I got the filet mignon, steak was cooked right at medium rare and the Mary potatos is the BEST part. Vegetables was also cooked right. I tried their seasonal tiramisu, honestly not a fan. My wife liked it, I just felt like I was getting bored of the taste. But still doesn't hurt the way I like Cooper's hawk. If you need to go out and you're looking for a place come to Cooper's hawk

Kai is hands down one of the best servers at Cooper's Hawk! From the moment you enter the tasting area, he makes you feel welcome with his friendly personality and contagious smile. He's incredibly personable, fun, and truly knows how to make the entire dining experience enjoyable. If you're not sure which wine to choose, trust Kai's recommendations--they're always spot on! His knowledge and enthusiasm make trying new wines so much fun. He goes above and beyond to make sure everything is perfect, and you can tell he genuinely enjoys what he does. If you have the chance, definitely ask for Kai. I guarantee you'll have an amazing time and leave looking forward to your next visit!

Gnocchi With Butternut Squash was so good

First time at Cooper's Hawk in Algonquin. This restaurant is fairly new and looks really nice & clean on the inside. We were seated right away on a Monday night. I'm not a wine drinker but I think wine lovers would love it here. There is a wine section in the front with different types of wines you can buy and info about each one. The restaurant seemed to focus on wines and suggested menu pairings. Service was good. I ordered gnocchi with roasted butternut squash and my wife ordered sweet corn and tomato risotto. The portion size was moderate as well as the price at $23.99 and $22.99 for the latter. The gnocchi was perfectly seasoned and brought on some well pronounced flavors. The savory gnocchi, cream, and feta cheese maintained a delicate balance to the slightly sweet butternut squash. The risotto tasted great as well, but was slightly undercooked. They also let us sample some moscato which was a nice touch. CH turned out better than I expected it to be and I would return at some point on the future although there are few vegetarian options.

We have dined at 2 Coopers' in Oak Lawn and Oak Park, but we have family that lives near Algonquin, so we took a trip and gathered there for Valentine's Day lunch. We arrived on time and were offered the chance to sit but decided to wait til our party arrived. The lobby and tasting room are about the same, but seemed smaller than the other locations. When our party arrived we sat at a nice round table. Gianna our waitress came and greeted us with good humor, jokes, and graciousness! I got the sparkling flight since it was V-Day, and we shared the Brussel sprouts and lettuce wraps as appetizers. It was busy and full but not packed at 2:30pm. I ordered the lunch portion of the pork chop with mashed potatoes and broccoli and of COURSE the pretzel bread! We took some home as well. I enjoyed the flight but was hoping to have it with my entree. It took a while for us to be asked for our entrees, and I was just about out of my flight, so I ordered another glass of wine (not sure which one) to go with lunch. The special dessert was a coffee flavored brownie with pistachio gelato. We were given multiple spoons and a huge portion and it was SO good! It is a long ways away from where we live, so I would prob only return to this location for a special occasion, or if I'm in the area. I would definitely ask for Gianna if I go back!

We came here for a birthday party and Joel & crew in the back private room were amazing. The food was delicious as usual and was served fresh and hot. I really enjoyed the fries that came with the cheeseburger. For the kids, the entreés were served buffet style, so that made for easy access for the parents and quick eating for the kids. As far as price goes, I don't know what it cost for the private room and menu. I do know, from eating in the dining room that you should expect to spent $20-$40 for an entree and a dinner for two with drinks and tip will run you $150 min. If you're a food connoisseur and you want something a step up from a Chili's, you can get that here. Add some wine and you're good to go. Though it's a little overpriced for the food, the food is prepared well and has the flavors. I think that the prices reflect the high-quality service and the ambience. If you're looking for a bite, but don't really care... I'd skip this place and hit up one of the other sit-down restaurants across and/or down the street. Your dollar will go longer. Last thought - This is a great place to celebrate a special milestone or get your wine fix. I hope to be back soon.

Stopped in for a quick lunch. Our services was prompt and friendly. Food came out in a timely manner. It's beautifully decorated inside. The wine is delicious. I typically visit the South Barrington location. This was a nice little change up.

My first Cooper's Hawk experience--talk about sensory overload! I went on a Friday night and the place was packed and loud. The parking lot was full and I had to park the equivalent of two blocks away. A table wasn't ready even though we had a reservation, but after only a little waiting we were able to snag bars seats and have up the reservation. (I've heard of others having to wait 45 minutes past their reservation time). I had a burger and it was tasty. The bartender who took our order was friendly. I would go back, but probably not on a weekend. I don't drink wine, and while the food was good, it didn't stand out enough to make having to wait in an extremely loud crowd worth it.

Sad excuse for fruit as your side with sandwich

I have been here several times. A main attraction is the selection of wine. The service is always perfect. I have had the prime rib sandwich several times, which is always good. However DO NOT order fruit in lieu of the french fries. Photo shown of what you will get. Really expected better for a restaurant with these prices.

    Cheeseburger ordered Medium

For $18 this is what a medium cheeseburger from Cooper's hawk will look like, honestly I could've asked my father to make me a medium burger and it still wouldn't of come out as burnt. This was like biting into a lump of charcoal. I'm not even trying to be nit picky but I'm not ordering a filet or salmon I'm ordering a regular cheeseburger.

CH Wine O'Clock Review! This is my second time visiting a Coopers Hawk for the happy hour specials. It seems the menu has been paired down quite a bit but items on this menu are special offerings that aren't found on the standard menu. We sampled both the Blending Session wines which seem to rotate monthly. The white was a bit sweet for my preference so we decided to split the Vin Velouté. For food, we started with the Four Cheese Truffle Arancini & Burrata Bruschetta off the HH menu. They were a good shareable portion for two people! We also tried the Roasted Vegetable & Goat Cheese Flatbread which was delicious! The restaurant itself is newer and beautifully designed. Our server was very kind but towards the end was checking in a lot which felt like he was subtly pushing us to leave. Either way, I do love the offerings at CH and enjoy that their happy hour is back!

Cozy!!! Bar area seating here is what I prefer. Less stingy feeling than the main room. The chicken giardianara was delicious. Alcohol free options. They should really bring back the alcohol free wine, it's just a nice tradition for people who can't drink. I think it's insane they only have 3 bathroom stalls for the size of this place. I had to wait in line every time. Also...please simmer down on the sales lingo for the membership. Not everyone needs a wine fucking membership ALRIGHT?

Made with Scotch and a hand toasted marshmallow (see pic), it was smooth and smoky (though no smoke is involved), capturing the essence of a campfire and S'mores. Easily a new favorite. Awesome Sydney!!!!!! My wife wasn't too hungry, but I ordered the Chicago Chopped Cheese from the specials menu (see pic). Surprisingly good and didn't expected the style. Chef Mark is on a role lately, as I have tried all but one of the specials. Keep it going. Be back soon!

Our waitress seemed overwhelmed with the amount of tables she was handling and just overall grumpy. I can understand that doing separate checks for a large group might not be fun, but she just seemed irritable the whole time until we gave her a decent tip. She directed us to get our own water from the self-serve station. I did like that I could do the wine flight from the table vs. they only offer the 6 wine tasting from the bar. I was a little disappointed that no one explained which wine was which, and I was left guessing when I ordered all sweet wines and a couple that looked very similar. When I later wanted to order a glass, I apparently picked the wrong one, but none of them were horrible so that was OK. I also ordered the small charcuterie plate, which was a perfect snack plate. Some of our party ordered flatbreads and wraps, which also looked really good, so I would definitely try this place again. This place doesn't seem like they're that good at accommodating large groups as they only have small round tables they had pushed together, but we made it work. They seemed a bit understaffed for a Saturday afternoon. If you like sweet wines, my favorite was the Sweet Purple Lady, followed by Blackberry. I took a bottle home.
