Blood orange mojito & Old Fashioned
    Lea L.

My other half and I were looking for a casual spot where we could enjoy good drinks & a light dinner. Based on other Yelp reviews we decided to try something new and head to Sofie's. The location is spacious with "clean" decor. There's a bar and several high top seats for dining as well as a more conversational sitting area up front. There are a couple of outside tables. This is not a loud bustling place. The two times we've been there have been a few other guests at the bar and the whole place has a very friendly vibe. The drinks are simple but with clever touches. Their Sofie's old fashioned comes with a rock candy stir stick, and their Buffalo Bourbon Smash and Blood Orange Mojito are also favorites of ours. The menu is simple but high quality. We opted for deli sandwiches and they were fabulous! As another reviewer also said - I'm still thinking about that Italian sandwich! They have several small Plates as well as pizza. The only hitch was we had wanted to play a table game while we were there and the manager very kindly explained that because they also have gaming, any other games that involve cards or dice games aren't allowed per stat ordinance. Kind of a bummer because I'd come more often if we could bring our own games. Definitely a place worth checking out!

Great place to have an upscale cocktail creation and sand which! The bread is provided by Your Sisters Tomato and totally made the sandwich a pure delicacy! We had the Italian sub, An old fashioned and the aviation - All fabulous, decor was minimal and relaxing. Dim lights, clean- fabulous bartender, attentive but not over bearing ~. We will definitely be back!

    Sauvignon Blanc. Delicious.

**Review based on drinks and service. We didn't eat this time. A really cute spot...an incredible listing of bourbon, rye, whiskey and scotch! Impressive! Nice, innovative cocktails and decent wine list. Our bartender was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. I hope folks give this new little addition a try!

They aren't even "fully" open yet. I enjoyed the specialty smokin' old fashioned. Light eats and delicious food.

There are tables and seating towards the front of the store and an event space upstairs. They have large coolers filled with individual bottles of beer, wine and other beverages. I was impressed by the variety I believe Uncorkt has something for everyone to indulge in. They also have a nice selection of snacks. I was a little underwhelmed with the customer service. There were two employees working and a couple of customers enjoying a bottle of wine when we arrived. None of the staff made eye contact with us or said hello. We browsed around a bit and when I picked a beverage I took it to the counter to ask about their process....do we pay then find a seat, do we start a tab, etc. The person that I spoke with informed me I had to pay for my beverage, and was very short with me when I asked clarification questions - I couldn't get a smile or laugh out of her. I'm sure masks make it hard to understand each other, but the whole interaction felt awkward and not very welcoming. Later a local family that this employee knew came in, and she was very nice warm to them, so I guess she just didn't want to warm up to me. My husband said the other employee was helpful & friendly. We enjoyed sitting by the window and watching the activity along the street while enjoying out beverages, and I would return.

Made me feel silly thinking I was mistaken,....Then hollered across the floor to get my attention to explain how she was mistaken. Very weird vibes overall. Bar was full so we sat near the windows at the tables and mostly had to go back to refill our flights . Great wine, but service and courtesy was skewed! Will not be going back.

It was 5:45, I didn't have a reservation, a they didn't have a table available until 7:30 but there were spots at the bar which they said was full service. My friend and I cozied up to it and ate there. What a surprisingly good experience. The staff was super friendly and that bartenders had great suggestions. I hate when people at the restaurant say everything is good. Not these young ladies. They made some sound suggestions which we followed. French onion soup and the steak frites were both excellent and priced well IMO. They have a really good whiskey/bourbon selection with a few hard to find bottles. I settled on a Blantons neat. They had Pappy, but I'm not wasting money on that anymore. Food came out quickly and we ate and watched a baseball game. The locals at the bar told us about their membership program where I guess for a small mo they fee you get a bottle of wine and a charcuterie plate once a month. Seemed like a pretty good deal. I don't live anywhere near there, but if I did I'd certainly join. In any case, if you live anywhere close, this is definitely a worthwhile restaurant to visit. Seems like there were quite a few singles there as well if you are looking to meet someone. I have no idea what the dating scene is like in Lemont, but this might be a good spot to try.

Ambiance: Ambiance and restaurant decor was one of the highlights of the night in my opinion. Lots of neat items and decor - interesting glasses, art, couches/chairs, leather menus, etc. Food: We had the Peruvian chicken wings and the wagyu beef tacos. I thought the Peruvian chicken wing dish was quite good - 9/10. The chicken was very flavorful and the salad was a decent size and tasted good. The wagyu tacos in my opinion was underwhelming for sure. It really tasted like pretty bland meat and the tortilla chips on the side were almost guaranteed straight from a bag (Aldi blue corn tortilla chips if I had to guess ). I wouldn't personally recommend the tacos. If I were to go again, I'd get the chicken wings again, and get the hangover salad instead of the tacos. Drinks: We had the coconut cocktail, the cucumber cocktail, and I had a beer from Nicaragua. All were tasty, albeit definitely lacking punch, i.e. I couldn't actually tell you with a fact if they contained alcohol. The Nicaraguan beer was super light and I liked it. There was a beer from Czechia but it was out of stock.
