Brian Shih, MD - Multiple confirmation reminders

1-Star Review…read more Extremely disappointing and unacceptable experience. We had a confirmed appointment with Dr. Brian Shih today at 2:00 PM. We received multiple appointment reminders from Shih Medical Services and even clicked the confirmation link, which clearly showed that our appointment was confirmed. We brought my elderly, ill father all the way to the office for his scheduled appointment, only to arrive and find that no one was there. The office was completely closed/unattended. We received no phone call, text, or other notification telling us not to come. To make matters worse, we have also had serious difficulty getting his prescriptions filled because the pharmacies we contacted would not accept prescriptions from this doctor, which has created additional stress while trying to care for my ill father. It is incredibly upsetting to put an elderly patient who is already unwell through the difficulty of getting ready, traveling to a medical office, and arriving for a confirmed appointment, only to find nobody there. Mistakes can happen, but when a medical office schedules and repeatedly confirms an appointment, the very least a patient should expect is to be notified if the doctor or staff will not be there. This experience was extremely unprofessional, inconsiderate, and disrespectful of a patient's time and health.

Although I absolutely love Dr. Shih, his office staff is curt, condescending and argumentative…read more Once again, I had to wait FIFTEEN MINUTES for someone to answer the phone. Regardless of when I call, whomever answers the phone immediately says "Please wait" and the long waiting begins. This a small office, rarely more than two or three patients in the waiting area at a time. I have never seen it so busy that would require a hold for over 10 mins. They never announce who they are. This staff badly needs receptionist skills. If it wasn't that I was very pleased with Dr. Shih himself, I wouild defintely find another doctor. He is a pain maagement doctor and disappointly his office staff contributes greatly to the pain of even trying to get help.

Dr. Bruce Stark is an exceptionally compassionate and knowledgeable MD…read more I came to him in 2016-2017 with a serious narcotic addiction. Dr. Stark seemed to me to be very empathetic and non judgemental. He outlined a range of treatment options everything from replacement therapy to possible in patient care. When we finally decided on a (at the time) just approved drug which quite expensive he spent a lot of timc onsulting/conferencing/or arguing with the Insurance companies to make sure my medication was always covered. On a quick side note by a couple of reviews who have complained about it being a practice that is strictly in the business of collecting fees. Dr. Starks practice did have a pharmacy on site but the doctor always took time to explain which medications were absolutely necessary.\n And which medications could have potential benefits butt were maybe not absolutely mandatory. My most appreciated about Dr. Stark is that he explains all treatment options and then lets you make the decision which is going to be best for yourself. He is an incredibly knowledgeable and talented physician.\nWith a compassionate manner.

I am a stay at home dad, premiere medical always gets me in quickly. the staff is wonderfu,l the girls at the front always explain the billing situation the nurses always take time with the blood pressure and what I'm here for. THan doctor Stark cruises in and handles everything from information on the screeni, to my notes, to what's going on in my life, asking about the child And then he takes care of whatever needs to have. lately it's been my knee but he always gets me back on my feet and I'm out there with my kid month after month after month. Thank you so much for Dr Stark and all he does and premier medical for having someone like Dr, Stark on staff

Rose their front office staff is hands down the rudest human being I have ever encountered in…read morehealthcare and I've been a psychiatric social worker for 17 years, so that is saying a lot. I could not make my appointment because I'd been in the ER the night before and was basically accused of having a drug problem when asked if I would take a tox screen & I said I could not come in. Rose just hung up on me and said "ok, bye." Just. Hung. Up. When I called back and asked to speak to her she rudely said "I thought the conversation was over." NOPE! When you abruptly hang up on someone, the conversation isn't over. How dare anyone question a patient's inability to keep an appointment when they've been treated in an ER the night prior & it was not remotely related to my chronic pain. I have zero history of substance abuse & would have happily peed in a cup if I could've kept the appointment. But, I was dismissed, demeaned, and not listened to. I felt horrible. I guess everything happens for a reason and I'm glad I didn't wind up in this joke of an office. Seriously stay away. Ps. Interesting that there is a glowing review of Rose & the doctor from the same day my appointment was scheduled to see their NP because I was told Dr. Villanueva was not in the office. I have multiple emails and messages from Rose that Dr. Villanueva was not present. Seems a little odd, no?!
