I made an appt to have 4 tires mounted and balanced. when I got there the mgr asked if I had an appointment. I said I did. He said he didn't see my appt. He then got rude about my wife almost falling in the pit and he said I almost got hit in their driveway. He said what's wrong with you guys can't either of you drive. We went back and forth and I did finally swear at him. I never do this but he pushed me that far. I would never advise anyone to use their services. I've been going to Manteno Quick Lube for oil changes for a few years. I like that there's no appointment needed and I've never had to wait. The mechanics are professional, friendly and get the job done quickly and correctly. If they see an issue that might need attention in the near future they mention it but there's no hard sell to have it done right that minute. I have no complaints. read more

I showed up 10 minutes to closing and badly needed an oil change. Everyone's seemed super friendly and professional, definitely a very good atmosphere for an oil change place. I was in and out in 15 minutes flat, compared to the competitors in Matteson that took nearly 90 minutes to complete and oil change. The price was a lot more reasonable than some of the competitors too. Overall the only drawback is it's a little out of my way, but it's worth it because of the great service, speed and price. I took it to the dealership and it turns out this place overcharged the air conditioning system twice. The professionals at Toyota repaired it. read more

I hate leaving bad reviews; I prefer to only leave good ones. I've had two HUGE mishaps at Manteno Quick Lube. Although the owner made things right with the first issue that happened, the second I could not forgive. I brought a brand new 2021 Volkswagen Atlas in for it's first oil change. Was driving my kid to the dentist right afterwards and my Check Engine Lights were flashing. I looked under the car and it there was oil leaking everywhere. Drove it back home, about 4 blocks, and the oil leaked all over my driveway. I called them and they sent someone over to my house, but it took a good half hour for them to get here. They didn't put the oil filter on correctly. They did fix it, but I will never go back there again. read more

In all of my infinite wisdom I managed to about completely strip the head of my oil plug when attempting to change my own oil the past weekend. I brought it by, tail between my legs, and told the crew here what the issue was. They had my vehicle in and out of there in less than fifteen minutes and didn't even make fun of me! At least to my face. I would have made fun of me. I have been coming here for years and everytime I have, I have had an excellent experience. I am a 19-year-old male who doesn't know anything about cars or talk to people. I went to Manteno quick lube to get my oil change, and I accidentally parked in the wrong spot. The person that owns the place was very nice to me and move my car for me. He could obviously see I've never done something like this by myself before and tried to put my mind at ease. Driving from Champaign to Chicago I had an unexpected issue with my car... the skid plate had come loose and was dragging underneath. I still had more than an hour of busy highway driving to go and was very worried about driving the car in that condition. I was also worried because it was a Sunday afternoon and wasn't sure I could find any place that would be open. With the help of GPS, I found Manteno Quick Lube and stopped by about an hour before closing. After explaining my situation, Alan and the Quick Lube Sunday crew could not have been nicer or more helpful. They fixed my car quickly and sent me on my way. Have to leave a review for two recent visits- I'm so pleased. Several oil change places I've tried in the area never have my filter for some reason (car is a 2017 Volkswagen). I finally tried Manteno Quick Lube/All Automotive and not only did they have the filter, they got me in right away and were fairly priced. This week I had a different issue- called, they got me in right away, got the part quickly, and got it fixed. They were professional, reasonably priced, quick, and I'm very grateful to have found a place in the area. Earned all of my future business, for sure! read more

Honestly, no stars! When a customer requests to PLEASE check the starter and alternator it doesn't mean to charge the battery and put oil in the car! That wasn't even part of the original problem! I understand you "don't want to lose business or your customer" but I have been loyal to this shop since I was 16. I never had an issues with this company until recently and it's sad! Pat claimed he checked and diagnosed my car... Chris from TMW towing who ACTUALLY HELPED ME showed me the reader that you use and turns out pat LIED! It gives off the last date and time when the car got diagnosed and it was last diagnosed in 2019. And it told him RIGHT AWAY that my alternator is bad! Why did pat tell me my starter and alternator is fine? Not only did I pay for service that I never received but my problem never got fixed! Super disappointed, because this was a local shop that I didn't have to go far to to get my car taken care of! Please do your research when your taking your broke down car to places... Some rip you off because they don't want to actually do work! read more

Just moved to area and a couple people recommended this place. I usually go here for an oil change and they are good at getting me in and out. My car is older with over 100k so we've had to have a few maintenance things done. In the last two months I've had them fix my alternator and fuel system and both and so far no issues. Eric the manager is pleasant and I've never felt like he was trying to scam me. Not the cleanest, but I haven't seen many oil change places that are, haha. Would recommend to my friends. read more

Patrick has always been up front with me about pricing and if I can do the repair on my car myself. This paid off today: the muffler on my completely dropped off and was dragging on the ground on 8/17/19. I took it here and he called me in 10 minutes with a reasonable quote and time of 1.5 hours. They could have replaced all the exhaust and they were able to salvage most of the tubing. He was on the money about both. I bought tires here so I get them rotated for free now. They support the Cubs, so that's my only dislike. I will continue to go here as long as I get the same transparency in their work. You should also consider them as well. read more

They are really quick too. every other place we have gone to for an oil change ect they try to sell u stuff like so and so belt needs changed, your antifreeze needs flushed. not here. honest folks. we travel from Manhattan to Manteno as there is no one comparable. I heard a grinding noise on my car, and I hadn't got my breaks done in a while, so I went into Manteno Quick Lube (or All Automotive of Manteno) and they were able to do all of my breaks (break pads and rotors all around) in a little over 2 hours, which I thought was a fair amount of time. I had a pleasant experience in the lobby because who I thought was the owner was cracking jokes the whole time, and practically even set up a date between 2 random people who were both getting their cars worked on there the same time as me. We were laughing the whole time, which made the time waiting not as bad. I will definitely be back here to get my automotive needs worked on, and to top it off my car actually breaks now! read more

My wife brought in her car to get work done on a break line and they ended up charging her for two break lines and two new tires. I was involved in an accident and was in intensive care for 4 days I got out of the hospital ten days ago and my wifes brakes went out she had the car towed to them . I usually would take care of the autos but I cant at this time. She tried to take care of it herself. 25.00 a foot for 20 feet of brake line, plus 4 hours of labor at 90.00 an hour. That is ridiculous. A certified mechanic should not have taken that long. The car is a ford tarus and is not ten feet in total length She asked for the cheapest tires that she could get they charged her 125.00 a tire over Seven hundred dollars in charges. My car broke down on I-57 between Kankakee and Manteno when I was driving with my daughters. Not only were they open on the weekend (unlike lots of places), but they were fast, professional and honest. Pat was great to work with. He is a straight shooter who did exactly what he said he was going to do-- called me back and made calls to look for parts and provided good advice even though it didn't mean they would make more money. He explained everything and had the perfect balance of seriousness and humor you are on a pickle. When I called my mechanic back hone, he confirmed everything Pat had said was exactly right. This place is a real rip off!! I just had to have my car repaired because of a faulty part that failed and was under warranty, but before that happened I was told that it was not that but another thing wrong that would cost over $600. It turned out that there was nothing of that sort wrong. After the car was repaired, I got my car back there was something majorly wrong with my transmission and was told it was like that when I brought it in!! That was not the case. I ended up taking it to a reputable mechanic for the transmission and was told it was possible that the part that was causing the problem could have been damaged by the replacement from the warranty repair, seeing I had no trouble with it before. Needles to say I will never do business with this place again... and if anyone else does, BEWARE!! read more

I stopped in the other day for an oil change; I had been putting it off and didn't have the time or desire to do it myself in this heat. I was amazed at the prices they had and since they were already working on my car I asked the guy at the counter about the cost of replacing my tires; which admittedly were worn down to almost nothing. Turns out they had a promotion when you buy 4 cooper tires, you get 4 sox tickets! My girlfriend is a big sox fan so thats a win win for me. I have no problem going back to these guys to put my new tires on and collect my tickets for our new double date night. If they treat me with the same level of service I experienced I'll definitely be coming back. 5/5 for quick service, short wait times, and helpful staff. read more

I brought my car in for and oil change and too much oil was put into my car. Just as too little oil can damage your engine, too much oil can wreck the engine too. Must not have checked the dip stick after doing the change after changing the oil. Wont go back again after that. They are not careful. read more

I've been using this shop for quite awhile for everything from oil changes to having coolant lines replaced. I went in yesterday and met the owner while my car was getting an oil change service. He explained that my filters were good and he wouldn't recommend replacing wipers or anything extra at this time, unlike what you might get told at other locations. The did a great job, finished in about 10 minutes, and gave me a coupon for a $17 semi-synthetic oil change on my next visit. Can't beat the price or the service. Thanks guys! read more

Rough day- too busy - 2.5 hours to get the job done. People were nice but I had to ask. If I knew it would take that long I would have made other arrangements. Also mgt turn the heat off in the waiting room because they were too warm- waiting room is for he guest so when it's 30 degrees out side and we have to sit for 2.5 hours it's cold. I came in for a oil change and they tryed selling me spark plugs and little did they know I just got my spark plugs done by my other mechanic a week before I came in, and so I took it back to my other mechanic because it started leaking oil and for him to check the spark plugs and he found they left the oil pan drain plug loose and striped out. And there was nothing wrong with my spark plugs cause they were new. My car runs great. So had my mechanic fix my drain plug and it stoped leaking.. Who ever works at this quick lube place are not professionals and do not know what their doing will never take my car back to such a horrible place. Always stick with your family mechanic. This place is just trying to get your money. read more
