This place has large portions of chicken but the wait time can be a very long time when it should not be. But as for the food this is my 5th visit and have not been disappointed yet. The meat is flavorful and moist which can be lost at teriyaki places frequently. Would recommend the katsu. read more

Not very impressed with this place. My chicken was waaaaaay too charbroiled which caused it to be tough and dry and I'm not a fan of how liquidy the teriyaki sauce is. Been eating teriyaki since the late 90's when I was a kid. I've eaten at dozens of teriyaki places from Bellevue to Kirkland and now recently a few in Monroe. Man SE Teriyaki is easily the top 3 teriyaki places I've been to. Simple, perfectly grilled, fair priced teriyaki equals a winning result. Their teriyaki sauce is just right, not too sweet or too thick/thin. The rice is just sticky enough. Most people don't realize that rice quality is essential for good teriyaki. I've ordered a few dishes here and all were consistent. I usually go with the chicken, which is grilled just right. The super chicken (slightly larger size) is around $10 which is a fair price. I would recommend this place to anyone. Teriyaki is a Japanese dish and name. I cringe when I hear people call it Chinese food. read more

Love, love, love this place!! I could eat this teriyaki everyday. I always get the super chicken, which is like three giant sliced up chicken breasts atop a bed of rice and hubby gets the teriyaki chicken/gyoza combo. Both are delicious and you can easily get three meals out of the super chicken. The meat is tender and juicy, perfectly sauced and, I know it sounds weird, but lighly charred. Just enough to caramalize some of the sugar in the sauce and give it that "fresh off the grill" flavor. I want to try other things on the menu, but it means not getting my sweet, delicious chicken. I stopped in yesterday for lunch and really glad I did. The special was chicken teriyaki, salad, white sticky rice, 2 egg rolls, and a small pop (or can) for $7.49. My lunch was on the table when I came back from the bathroom. The chicken was tender and didn't have those burned crunchy edges that I have found at so many teriyaki places. The sauce was just right; not too sweet and not bland. The salad was shredded cabbage with just the right amount of dressing; not swimming in it. The rice was typical sticky white rice. The egg rolls were definitely something to brag about! They had a light and crispy coating and really tender & fresh veggies inside. Practically melt-in-your-mouth goodness! I could have just these for lunch and be happy. I can't say enoughj about this place, so go there and tip good like I do. read more

We love this place for teriyaki! I usually skip the rice with the chicken teriyaki so they give me extra salad which is shredded cabbage & their homemade dressing. The spicy Yakisoba beef is my hubby's fave now. They are fast & friendly as well. read more

This was my first visit, and I probably won't be going back, as there are SEVERAL other teriyaki choices. By far, the most expensive teriyaki place in town with the smallest portions. Food is ok, but not worth the price difference. They also don't offer a very large selection of meals/combinations. As well, they put their "salad" in the to-go container with the hot food, so the salad is nice and warm and wilted when you get home. Teriyaki is super salty. Over all, it's meh. Significantly less positives than negatives. I wouldn't recommend. read more

This place is alot like others of its type - uninspired, nothing to write home about. For that matter it is fine in a pinch but the chicken katsu was dry and bland and the sauce on the spicy chicken was the gloppy, cloyingly sweet yet a little spicy. The quantity was adequate here and, but it would be hard to tell this place from many others I have visited in Washington. Unfortunately forgettable, plus it's located in the back of a strip mall which isn't very friendly with navigation on my phone. The restaurant smells a little odd, and the food tasted a little odd too. When I got my food home, my temper was soggy. The sauce was good. The beef teriyaki have a slight bad taste I couldn't identify. I wasn't able to eat it. The staff was very friendly however and the place seemed clean. Although it did smell funny. We Tried it for the first time a few weeks ago and we are going back again. We ordered the "super chicken " and "beef". Fast service and very friendly. Only thing weird is you get a little bit of teriyaki sauce to go and if you want any extra you need to pay for it. If it wasn't for having to pay for extra sauce they would get a 5 star. read more

CANT MISS!!!!This place is the greatest gift of Teriyaki in the Northwest. The sauce is the best sauce I've ever had. They have a cabbage slaw salad they serve with the teriyaki with a creamy dressing that makes you want to eat raw cabbage! I get the Super Chicken, which I never finish, but gives me more than enough food to take home for a second meal. This is a favorite spot of all the LDS missionaries that serve in Snohomish County. I make a habit of approaching teriyaki places in areas like Monroe with lower expectations, but this place left me pleasantly surprised. I was expecting something drenched in Sriracha when we ordered the spicy pork but the sauce was very unique and actually was pretty pleasantly spicy. I ended up stealing most of my husband's meal since the spicy pork was his order. The Chicken Katsu was perfectly crispy, not soggy and not too much breading, very well done. All in all the portions were great and we left feeling very satisfied and impressed. Better than most teriyaki places and I will definitely be back again when we're in the area. read more

Food here is about as plain as can be, and the price is a bit on the expensive side. I've given this place several chances and every time I leave feeling dissatisfied and underwhelmed. With as many teriyaki places as there are in Monroe, I'll be taking my business elsewhere in the future. Most people have their "go to" teriyaki place and this is ours. We're lucky they are so close by since we are here at least once every couple weeks. The chicken is a higher quality than many other places we've tried and the potstickers are fantastic. The sauce is dark and sweet and the portions are generous. An order of the "Super Chicken" is more than enough for dinner tonight and lunch tomorrow. The staff is extremely friendly and quick. read more

We love Teriyaki and have tried many different places. This place has a sweet tang to their sauce. They also have a great salad dressing which the sell also. My husband usually gets a super. I'm for white meat chicken, but their regular is so tender I don't have to. I opted for white meat for a long time because so many places had dryer, tougher chicken. Not here! Also love the potsticker and eggrolls. Our fav teriyaki place. read more
