I really love this place. Great prices, great quality natural food. When we drive through the 395 it's a must stop. Unfortunately they are currently remodeling their room with all their beer selection so we didn't get to take a chance to take a look at the beer. However last time we came I bought a glass from the back room where the beer is stocked and I wanted to buy another one, but it was packed away during the remodeling but since we weren't from around here our cashier was a total sweetheart and went in the back to dig us the beer pint glass. I heart Manor Market. The only reason I give them 4 stars is I can't afford to do all my grocery shopping here. They can get pretty expensive. However, I will never buy these items at Vons again and will make a special trip to Manor for their amazing thick cut bacon and any type of produce. Their produce is the one exception to being to pricey. They have locally grown delicious fruits and veggies for great deals. If you have an extensive specific grocery list, this is not the place to go. If you need a few things and have time to browse and get some random little treats manor market is the place! read more

Forget about the big box stores in Bishop - this is the ONLY grocery store you need to visit on your way to go camping in the desert, hot springs or whatever. They have great vegan options in the cooler, lots of excellent local wine, fresh produce and it's LOCAL and family owned. My friend Evan mentioned this place had a good beer selection, so we stopped by after bouldering at the Buttermilks. I picked an English ale called "Hen's Tooth" by Morland (Old Speckled Hen) and Evan picked a Belgian seasonal brew and a German beer. All there were really really good. If you are a beer snob in Bishop, you must come here to get your fix. :P Great selection of beer, wine, and hard alcohol. Lots of good quality food too. Much better than Von's if you want fancier/organic food. They have ready to eat Indian food in a pouch and you just have to boil in water for a few minutes to heat it up. Perfect for quick/lazy dinner at the Pit. Mmm...delicious! Not as cheap as Trader Joe's though. Really nice and friendly staff. Very convenient location if you are camping at the Buttermilks. Coming from the Pit, take Ed Powers if you don't need to stop anywhere else in town. read more

Was out in bishop bouldering and found this place. They have an excellent selection of food as well as craft beer from a plethora of breweries including Stone, Green Flash and many other california operations. The food is a little expensive, but youre up in the mountains and it wasnt bad at all. The premade chicken and sandwiches were awesome for lunch, and they have everything else you might need while camping including water, fire wood, toilet paper and more. Nice clean restroom as well (much appreciated after using the wilderness). I will always shop here when i am in bishop looking for good food and beer read more

No deli counter, but a case with prepared sandwiches including an edible egg salad on white option. They also sell lots of meal kits that are organic, vegetarian, natural, so if you're spending time locally and have access to a kitchen, this is a more pleasant place to spend your grocery bucks than Vons. (Sorry Vons, nothing personal, oh wait, no it totally is.) read more

They have such an awesome team of workers here with wonderful customer service skills! The beer selection is awesome! The fresh produce is ALWAYS great! The health food section is pretty rad! The hot foods are for the most part good with a select few that are ehh. They sell local meat which is very tasty! If manor sells it I'd rather go here than Downton to vons or smart n final. Lots of interesting food, wine and other choices / but when you but three steaks at 80.00 and they can't tell you were they are from ( even though there was a large label on the package ) ! Your store is in Ag country ! The cashier was so clueless at answering our question about anything - it was uncomfortable and felt sorry for her ! She was actually very rude :( read more

Love, love, love this store. Absolutely fabulous selection of healthy food items, beer and wine. Very friendly, trustworthy, helpful, knowledgeable employees who will go out of their way for the customer. This is the way stores should operate. Update: I don't know if the management has changed or it's just the new (fairly high turnover- never a good sign) employees, but I take back everything I said above. I used to be ok with paying more at Manor Market for the pleasant helpful atmosphere, but now that it no longer exists, why should I drive further, pay more, and actually be insulted by an employee?! Boy, they have a lot to learn about customer service! Thank goodness there are a couple of other options in little Bishop. Vons has a much broader selection in all areas and lower prices than Manor, and if Smart & Final has what one is looking for well then their prices are even lower. Manor seems to have become more like a local liquor store and I for one will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. I change the above score to ONE STAR. read more

We stop here every time we are in Bishop. They have great food, a huge variety of beer and practically everything you need for a trip up the hill. Just moved to Bishop and this store has been a nice surprise. They have a great selection of beer and wine and everything is priced fairly (more than Vons or Smart and Final but less then other smaller store). I did run into an issue where a sandwich that I bought had mold on the bread as did the pack of jalepenos. I notified them and they said I could come back for a refund. A fantastic place for good produce, fresh meat, health and junk food. :) Best selection for beer and wine in town. They also carry bottled sodas, many are specialty root beers, ginger ale, fruit sodas. They have breakfast and lunch sandwiches and excellent rotisserie chickens for dinner. Very endearing place, looks like a standard liquor shop, but inside the selection is upscale. Large selection of Bob's Red Mill, organic produce. The ready-made foods are good, especially the breakfast burritos and vegan wraps! Recycling center is around the corner. read more

Way out on Line street in Bishop is a small market where you can still shop they way people did 50 years ago. The locals really love this place and talk about it a lot. It is great for that quick beer run, or organic produce run. If you're heading out to Bishop Pass, or South Lake, you can stop here to get that one item that you forgot at home. What a find! A friend took me there and what an eclectic selection of goods. I found one of my favorite every day wines, Eberle 2007 Vineyard Select, at a price lower than available to wine club members. They also had smoked mozzarella cheese that was strikingly similar to the smoked mozzarella cheese I bought in Little Italy, NY, NY. Also had on of the biggest selections of Root Beer I have ever seen. Who is the genie behind this operation? I will be back! read more

Living in a small town, I am so grateful to have this amazing little store. I can't believe the quality products and produce they pack into this place! I get a major kick out of their soda pop selection. Some of these sodas you may remember as a child; e.g., Kickapoo Joy Juice, Dad's Old Fashioned Root Beer, Orange Crush, etc. It's like a trip down memory lane for the taste buds. Also, as a vegetarian, I'm impressed by their unique vegetarian and vegan offerings--not the same ol' veggie crud offered at Vons either (not complaining about Vons, just sayin' ...). Came into Bishop to see friends and stopped for a few supplies. Wow this store is another hidden gem. Looks clunky on the outside, and seems a bit crowded in the inside. BUT shop around and you will find everything! I mean every thing! The strawberries were fabulous, the cracker selection was extraordinary, the wine room lead me to some fabulous old vine zinfandel, the veges were perfect, and more and more and I just like this kind for store and will return again and again, if I am in Bishop of course. read more

I've purchased truffle oil while getting gas, or paintball supplies while pursuing apple cider. Gluten free and vegan or BBQ lover, micro brew or Budweiser, the whole range is here. Majorly overdue review here. Usually the last chance to get gas or grab whatever food/drink we forgot to bring up to the family cabin, last time I was surprised to find out the back area was completely remodeled and turned into a craft beer drinker's dream. Lots of local beers along with the bigger craft names as well. The prices aren't bad at all compared to most bottle shops in SoCal and considering your options are pretty limited in Bishop. I'm going to make a point to return every time we're back in the area. read more

Manor Market is the Trader Joe's of Bishop. They have selections of really interesting stuff not available elsewhere in town. They've got a great deli - a much better cheese selection than Von's! Their beer and wine selection is awesome, and they often have great deals. One of the things I love is their amazing selection of imported ginger beers!! We had a ginger beer tasting at dinner at a friends' once, and my favorite was an Australian variety (Bundaberg) that tasted a bit like flowers. Anyway, it's pretty amazing for such a small market to have ANY kind of selection! They've got organic, imported, local, all sorts of good things that I'm still discovering. Every time I go in (which, admittedly isn't all that often since I live on the other side of town), I discover something new and wonderful. It's a little pricey on some items, although surprisingly competetive on others, but there are always great things on sale, and for the more gourmet items, it's totally worth it! read more

Wine, beer, cheeses, local produce and meats, vegan, veggie, organic foods. If you want anything out of the ordinary, this is the place to go.
