I came in with some friends, the service was not good at all, after we were sitting, the waitress came to us to take the order, she was very unfriendly but the way, once we ordered she came and basically threw the water and sodas on the table.... finally when the food arrived the french fries were cold and without salt, I had requested a "Mix Planchita" (grilled chicken& steak) this came completely cold, that I had to request to warmer up. Stopped in for desert to go. Purchased the Oreo cheesecake and really enjoyed it and I am no fan of cheesecake. It tasted fresh and the portions were nice. I was fan of this place about 6 years ago when it opened, I lived near by and was addicted to it, so when I come back I always expect the same, unfortunately, something has happened in the kitchen, the place isnt that tasty anymore, it became just another average place, last time I tried the Milanesa Napolitana and Pizza and they were not as near as good as they used to be, I highly recommend to go to Rey del Chivito that is a couple of blocks south instead. It's like an American family restaurant in style and decor with Argentine/Uruguayan food. The food is pretty standard, lots of empanadas, milanesas, etc. Good in a pinch but nothing that stands out from a lot of other places with similar fare. Stay far away from this place. This is the third time that "miscommunication" with our server resulted in a more expensive item than that which we originally ordered. The explanation is always the same, "This is what you ordered." It's close to the beach and casual enough to grab a bite before, after, or during. But that is not enough to overlook the overpriced, mediocre food and the humiliating tactics to build up the tab. I was stonewalled by the "manager" when I made my case. OMG..bad bad bad...I went there with gf and kids, place is pretty slow, we stand at the door for like 5 minutes before someone tell as to sit anywhere, our server didnt speak a word of english, thank God we do speak spanish, food was horrible, cold, no flavor at all and the cotoletta milanese was hard as a shoe. Our drink were never refilled so we had to suck on the ice after 3 times we asked to have more water and when we got the so called"Churros" no one even took the time to clean our table from the food. Great Milanesa Sandwich... Great Iced Coffee... We wanted some custard filled churros but they were all out but the lady was so sweet she gave me a bag if chocolate filled for me and my friends for free. Cant wait to go back to Miami and try there bacon wrapped hot dog the couple sitting next to us ordered that and they looked amazing. There spinach empanada was really good too. Came here to eat while I was on spring break because I was craving empanadas. I had the beef empanada and the ham and cheese empanada, which was bigger than the beef. The beef empanada wad deliciousss, it had a liiiittle bit of egg in it as well as olives. (i don't like olives but I could barely detect them in the mix of meat in the empanada). The ham and cheese empanada was good too. These are Argentinian empanadas, and the empanada shells weren't crispy and deep fried like I'm used to, but delicious nonetheless. Empanadas are $1.95. My boyfriend got 'The Works' burger which is a burger with like egg and ham and a whole bunch of stuff. He said the burger itself was delicious, but all the extra additions killed the taste of the burger. If you want a burger just order a plain burger and enjoy it, not a burger overloaded with eggs and ham..This burger was on the lunch special and came with fries and a drink, 7.95 total. For dessert i got the fruit salad with ice cream. I loved it! It was nice slices of kiwis, strawberries, peaches, apple & idk what others in a delicious light syrup on top of two yummmy not-too-sweet scoops of vanilla ice cream. Yum. $5.75? $5.95? Or you can just get the fruit salad for 3.95...veryyy fillling and fresh and coool... Boyfriend got plain churros, .55cents, nothing special...i've had better ones from vendors walking down Brighton beach in NY selling them 3 for $1...Manolo's also has chocolate, caramel, and cream filled ones. Maybe those are better?? When we came here it was Thursday afternoon, its a large place and it was fairly full. We stood be the door not really knowing if we should just sit? So after like a minute or so of awkwardness we sat down next to the fish tank. Few more minutes past...few more..after 10 minutes passed we noticed menus near the entrance as well as place mats so we helped ourselves. Our waiter kinda sucked. I hope it was because he was new or something. Pablo...seemed nervous, in a rush, barely spoke, barely made eye contact..he got the order right at least. looking for a cheap coffee and breakfast place in South Beach? Well Manolo is your place. For being in South Beach the prices were cheap but the quality of the food was not. They have mostly just breakfast items but also have burgers and sandwiches and what not. I got a pie that was filled with eggs ham cheese and red peppers. SO good!!!!! i come here often because i am a local. Food is good and prices are OK. There's street parking nearby for a few dollars. restaurant is big, always sitting available, good for family and friends. my biggest complain is the lack of service. the waiters/ waitress dissapear and never come back once you have made your order. Last time i was there i waited for my waiter for 40 minutes until i just got up and paid at the cashier. apparently it looks like manolo has a no english speaking employee policy. if you speak english only then well communicating with the employees will be a pain. I will return to manolo only cause it's the best in the area, i will however try to limit myself to them. read more

I mainly come here for their large Ham & Cheese Croissant. I always get it to go and eat it in the hotel after the nightlife. The workers are extremely friendly but they do lack in service. Our go-to place. Love the Arugula Salad. Fries are addicting, calamari is not chewy and cooked just right. The kid's meal portions are pretty good I usually split it with my 2. Love everything. The Churros tend to be hard though at times. Took a dozen home one time and it didn't sit well. So you must eat it right away but really nothing special about the Churros.
