It started as a great boba tea lounge with Japanese cheesecakes, but now it's more of a random pastry shop selling whatever the owner brings to the shop to sell. I miss the original vibe, but I kept coming back. Lately, though, the boba teas have been hit or miss, it really depends on who makes them. At this point, they're just not worth the price. What really bothered me today was seeing an automatic gratuity added to my receipt and the staff didn't mention it. The girl serving me didn't let me know about it, so I ended up leaving an extra tip on top of that without realizing. When I asked her about it, she said she didn't know when the policy started and that the automatic tip doesn't go to her, just the extra tip does. So either the owner is stealing from the staff, or she's is lying to get extra tips. Either way, it didn't seem right. I've stuck with this place through all its changes, but the lack of honesty and transparency is a deal-breaker for me. Sadly, I won't be coming back.
