Absolutely amazing. I had beef empanada, mango shake, and coffee latte. Great food, priced right, friendly service. You can eat inside the main restaurant or at the corner outside/take-out cafe tables. Highly recommended!

This was my last sit down restaurant stop before returning home. Two of my closest friends…read morerecommended I come here, and so I was excited for my friends and I to try it. We were happily greeted when we arrived and told we could sit wherever we liked. There are plenty of tables outside and inside, and I hear it gets busy. Thank goodness it was a Monday early afternoon. We grabbed a nice table outside among a bunch of Cuban neon signs and pictures. At the time we came, we could choose between breakfast and lunch. I decided to get the Cuban breakfast with a guava smoothie. The platter was a 5 out of 5 for me. I loved the pork belly, the eggs, the potatoes, and the salad! And the smoothie was refreshing, though I wish there was an option to mix the flavors. Do you know how good a mango guava smoothie would have been?! My girlfriend got the same thing that I did, but they completely forgot it. She didn't receive hers until 15 minutes later... And though it seems like a simple request, they would not honor her request to swap out the potatoes for toast. They offered a free dessert which was nice due to the error, but we agreed we've had way better tres leches cake, haha. That incident aside, the restaurant was very nice. I hear they have live salsa on some nights and I know It gets busy. I would love to check that out sometime!

If you're debating whether to eat at Havana 1957, let me save you some time: go hungry and wear…read morestretchy pants. We ordered the Cuban sandwich and the Cuban burger, and honestly both were dangerously good. The Cuban sandwich was exactly what you hope for -- crispy bread, perfectly pressed, packed with flavor, and the kind of sandwich that makes you pause mid-bite and just nod at the person across from you like "yep... this was the right decision." The Cuban burger was also fantastic -- juicy, flavorful, and big enough that you start questioning whether you should have skipped breakfast. The area around the restaurant was great too. Nice vibe, good energy, and perfect for walking around before or after eating... which you will probably need to do after finishing that burger. The servers were good -- friendly, attentive, and thankfully didn't judge us for attacking the food like we hadn't eaten in three business days. Overall the place has a fun atmosphere, great Cuban comfort food, and the kind of menu that makes you want to come back just to try the things you didn't order the first time. Highly recommend... just be prepared to leave full and slightly considering a nap. 10/10 would happily destroy another Cuban sandwich there again.

Besides the fried plantain stuffed with shrimp and the tostones we had the Vaca Frita with rice and black beans. The Vaca, rice and beans were perfectly seasoned and delicious. It smelled so good I couldn't take a picture! Now a couple of things that are not great. The area has a serious parking availability and price problem, so account for that, there is a parking garage close but the prices change a lot. The service was very... dry, seemed in a bad mood, employed high pressure selling tactics and was visibly unhappy when we didn't roll with it. The place had the door open and the AC seemed to not be working in Miami's heat that is not great, to boot the drinks were very expensive. The price of the food was offensively high. The pictured tostones (green plantains) were more than 8 dollars. And the few tiny srimp stuffed plantain was more than 11 dollars. The Fried Beef (Vaca frita was reasonably priced at just over $20 considering how expensive beef has gotten. All in all this place serve the real Item when it comes to Cuban food. But it has turned from the beloved family place our elders and we loved back in the day. To a more tourist money geared place. At least that's how we felt when we left. We will be seeking a different spot for our next year "Miami long weekend food run".

The staff was very friendly, but boy was it windy! I know it's near the ocean, but we sat outside and it just was not pleasant to be in that wind. Aside from that, the food was delicious! I love a good crusty Cubano and they did it right. It did feel like we were in Italy because water is not free. No big deal but I should've ordered a drink! The menu is vast, the music was great, the ambience was amazing, and the experience was fun.

When we brought our concerns to the manager, instead of addressing the issue or taking accountability, she told us that we made the server upset and that she was crying. That response was surprising, because all we did was calmly complain about the quality of our food. Additionally, the server did not seem familiar with the menu. For example, she told me that pickles did not come on my burger, yet they were clearly listed as part of the ingredients--and I still did not receive them. Overall, there was a lack of accountability for the poor service and for the expectations not being met. Customers should be able to voice concerns about their food without being made to feel responsible for staff emotions. I hope management takes this feedback seriously and works to improve both service quality and communication with guests. I wouldn't give a star at all.
