Sometimes it's cool when your seat tears and you're forced to upgrade, get it recovered and finally create a pad for Shelley's sissy bar. Found someone who could match Tesla's seats. Had a puncture/small tear from dog toenail that was repaired badly. Manny replaced both perforated front seat bottoms on my X with the white vinyl. My other seat bottom looked loose like a wave in the material. Great match and Tesla has no one or any recommendations for this. Their answer is replace the seats. My seats have the A/C perforations and Manny is the first person that said he could do it. Not in the best neighborhood and they had to keep it overnight but locked it inside. Took 1.5 days for both front seats and price was reasonable. read more

I discovered Manny's through Yelp, and am very happy I did. My very favorite chair was in a sad state and had lost the lumbar support it used to have. For a VERY reasonable price, Manny re-upholstered the parts that were worn with the fabric I had left over from last time it was done. He also built up the lumbar area. Even more gratifying, he was able to resurrect some very sturdy patio chairs on which the fabric was splitting. He sent me to his supplier to choose a fabric, and they came out great. read more

STAY AWAY!! THE WORST!! Upon a friend's recommendation, I had Manny's Upholstery, rebuild the driver and passenger seats to a military vehicle using my provided fabric. I was a bit concerned about the messy, dirty appearance of the shop and that employee, Christian, did not prepare a work order, but just jotted down my first name and phone number saying the seats will be completed in 2-3 days. I gave him very concise instructions - secure new larger contoured foam cushions with Velcro, include robust side bolsters and proper lumbar support. None of this was written down and, thus, none of it was done! What I did receive in 2 weeks was incredibly poor workmanship and excuse after excuse after excuse ... "we couldn't do that, we couldn't do this, it was the fabric's fault, it's the best we can do, take them home, try them out". Well ... surprise, surprise ... they suck! Terribly uncomfortable, seat cushions way too short, foam way too hard, like sitting on a board, no back support what-so-ever, wrinkles everywhere, mismatched stitch lines, pulled out of shape in areas, no Velcro - force-bent plywood with a hodge-podge of drywall, Phillips and Allen screws ... whatever they had laying around. Now ... Manny will not fix or return my phone calls. Checked with the BBB ... surprise ... 1 star rating ... the worst ... not a member of the BBB. I removed the "junk cushions" from my seat pans to have new ones made elsewhere and will settle this in court. One again ... STAY AWAY!! THE WORST!! read more

We found Manny's on Yelp, we contacted Manny himself by text regarding the re-upholstery and slight repair of my wife's favorite chair and ottoman set. His price beat out the competitors, so we drove the chair out to his shop off of hwy 17. Manny's team work out of an old car garage in an industrial area - not to pleasant on the eyes, but don't be fooled - the product that comes out is very impressive. We provided a fabric for Manny to work with that we had purchased from an online fabric store - he didn't try to push any expensive fabrics on us, just did what we wanted. We had the chair back in a little over two weeks, beautifully upholstered, pattern immaculate, and the back support repaired and cushioning sturdier. We are very happy with the chair and ottoman, and Manny kept in touch with us the whole time updating when the chair would be ready. VERY stoked to have found Manny! read more

Paid this guy $1,800.00 to re-do my 2001 Dodge Ram p/u. Took him forever, and when he was done, I found drywall screws, in my upholstery, to keep the fabric in place. I'd give him a negative number, if it would go that way. Waste of money. Stay, very far away. read more

This place is really really awful. I'm not sure what standards these 5 start review people have but I'd be willing to bet they're friends and family of the owners. These scumbags had my vehicle for over three months (VW bug not a party bus) and they threw it together in the last couple days. Part of the headliner wasn't even done, they just opened the sunroof so you couldn't see it and told me to have it picked up. Manny's Upholstery did not disappoint! Not only were Manny and his sons professional, polite and a pleasure to work with, they did an outstanding job. We had a headliner replaced on a 2003 Nissan Xterra and it was perfect! Looks like new. In fact, after they added some padding underneath the new liner, I would say it is better than the factory installed version. Manny also replaced a seat cushion and seat cover on our 2008 Jeep Wrangler and that was done to perfection as well. Manny's is worth the price and you will be happy you did business with them. Not that I want to do more repairs anytime soon, but at least I know where to take things when necessary! read more

I recently took my Jeep Wrangler in to Manny"s Upholstery in Phoenix after reading the reviews on Yelp. Not at all what I expected. Started out I went in Friday February 15, 2019 and got a quote from one of the employees after he had called Manny for confirmation. He advised me to bring it in tomorrow and it would take a couple hours. Took it in Saturday as requested only to find out they were closed. OK human mistake. Called Manny on Tuesday as Monday was Presidents Day and he advised to bring it in and it would be ready by 4PM.Nope he had ordered the zipper and it had not come until afternoon. Advised next day by noon. I called and it was not ready and would be the next day first thing in the morning. Nope! Finally called 2:30 PM said to pick it up. When I went to pick it up the price had increased because "he had trouble with it". Paid the increased price and left. When I get it home I see he has put an ordinary zipper in the soft top back window. Phoned and said it was no good as it had to zip like the original. The zipper also has to have a starting flap to cover a blank space to stop dust intrusion.Both sides need to zip to access the back door and to drop the top. Manny's reaction was that this should work just take the back window out every time you have to access the back door. Would not help in any way. I know this sounds like chronic complainer but believe me I am the most easy going person and hate when people complain for no reason. Definitely look elsewhere if you need work done. read more

My Dodge Ram leather console needed to be reupholstered and Manny did it in a 24 hour period! Quoted me a very fair price and delivered with a beautiful job the next day! Delivered my job (3 chair cushions - seat, back, ottoman) on April 1st. When I spoke to Manny prior to this, I advised him that I had my new fabric and I had removed the old fabric. Along with the foam cushions and new fabric, I delivered the fabric that I had removed with detailed notes on the back of each piece. I was quoted a price by Manny and 1-week completion time. Numerous texts and voice messages went unanswered. I connected with him on April 9th and was told that it would be completed by April 12th. Another week of unanswered texts and voice messages then I connected with Manny on April 16th. Again he promised completion by Monday, April 19. He added that it might be completed Saturday, April 17th. He will call when ready for pick-up. I heard nothing back from him, so April 22nd, my husband and I went back to his shop to check progress. Our. Job hadn't even been started. When I told Manny who I was, his response was "you want to pick up your stuff?" My fabric on its original cardboard roll is now soiled and the cardboard roll has been creased at the halfway point. Manny should have the integrity to treat customers with respect and respond honestly to texts , voice messages and telephone conversations. read more

Great job replacing split leather on the lower driver's seat of my car. He had material on hand that matched almost perfectly. I made an appointment and they completed the work while I waited. This place has minimal overhead, and they offer very attractive prices -- especially for the high quality of workmanship. If I could do zero stars I would, and that would still be to many. I dropped off the rear seats for my car to be done. I also dropped off a convertible boot to have fixed. When I gave them the items on Wednesday, they told me Saturday, I said ok. Saturday came around did not hear from them. Monday came around, did not hear from them. Tuesday came around, did not hear from them. Same on Wednesday, so I decided to call, he told me tomorrow. You guessed it, no call on Thursdaday. Tried to call about 10 times on Friday, no answer, no return phone call. I drove the 65 miles, since they didn't contact me. When I got there, they never even started on them. I went into the shop to find my items laying on their dirt floor. Yes, a white convertible boot laying on a dirt floor. Since I drove 65 miles for nothing, they said they would deliver it to me the next day done by noon. I tried to confirm the delivery this morning called Manny's phone and the shop phone about 20 times, no answer again. I had my wife drive by there, since I was waiting for my delivery. You guessed it again, still on their dirt floor untouched, so I told her to just pick up all the undone work. I told them I at least needed my boot done for a car show tomorrow. They are simply liars and have no respect for a customers property. Now after spending all this money on gas, 65 miles each way, I have to try and salvage the damage they done storing my expensive interior pieces on their dirt floor. Now Manny just called me, saying it will be done by 5pm today. My wife already picked it up, so how was he going to get it done, more lies. The guy promised me I would have it by noon today multiple times, I told him I don't know if I could believe you, you don't answer your phone and you lied to me three times already. And I was right, just another lie. I had to wait at home all day because they are liars and don't even have the common courtesy to call and let me know they weren't coming. If you like liars who string you along, Manny is your guy. Now my wife just got home with my permanently ruined convertible boot by Manny's non caring staff. What type of people put a white object thrown on a dirt floor? Not only white, what type of business is run throwing any persons belongings on a dirt floor? Not only did they not help my wife, they were very rude to her. They just threw all my stuff into the parking lot and made her load it all by herself. They also told her it doesn't matter, we have been in business for almost 50 years. In 50 years you would think they would know how to treat a paying customer. My husband dropped off my 5 chairs on a Friday and asked if he could pick them up the next day, except my husband worked a 14 hour day on Saturday. Someone from the company called him multiple times bugging him and asking him if he could come by around 6pm to get them. My husband did not get off work until 8pm. Next morning my husband text the owner letting him know he was on his way, they changed the pricing, and were asking over double what we were quoted, fabric was provided and one of the 5 chairs was already completed. My mom called him up letting him know that what he quoted us. Manny ended up yelling at my mom and telling her to shut up over the phone and hung up on her. When my husband arrived, he told them by telling a customer to shut up, that's a good way of losing customers and not having a business anymore. Manny wouldn't even show his face when my husband drove up, and left his nephew's in charge to carry the chairs out to the truck. They accepted the original price agreed on, after my husband asked who told his mother in-law to shut up. Although the chairs look amazing, I will never, ever be returning there.
