His prices are fare, his work is excellent and his turn around time right now is about three weeks. He is currently working alone because he's having a difficult time finding help, so if you have items that you can drop off and pick up on your own that will help speed up the process. I also bought my own fabric from Fabric Depot up the road, but that's how I like to do it. He did pillow covers, a cocktail ottoman and two benches for us at an extremely reasonable rate compared to other upholsterers I spoke with.

Robert had to replace a cracked particle board seat and then re-upholster to include piping. He priced it at $60 per chair. The underside of each chair was nicely covered with black cloth - very professional. As an afterthought, the chair seats were covered in plastic - using a heat gun at the corners to make them look like new. The other business priced one chair at $150.

I did all of that, came back, met with the owner, scoured through fabrics, shared my exact templates for the cushions and then was just left waiting for a quote. I followed up and was told it was awaiting approval. They wasted my time entirely. Still never heard back. They could've just said they didn't want the job.
