Immediately when we walked into this store, he practically told us to get out. This employee never acknowledges us. I simply asked if we could purchase IL scratch-off lottery tickets. I was immediately told in a very aggressive tone that lottery is closed. I can use the machine. Trust me, I would have preferred to use the machine, but the ticket I wanted was behind the register. I then asked why scratch-off lottery was closed and he yelled that they close at 9? Still prompting for an explanation, as I knew that you could purchase and redeem lottery scratch-off tickets, until 2am, he simply screamed that it was closed and to get out. Please refer to the link stating specifically the timeframe you can purchase and redeem scratch-off tickets in Illinois. What time do they stop selling scratch off lottery tickets in Illinois? (askinglot.com). At this point I began to videotape because I was that upset. I proceeded to ask to speak to a manager and he said, get out, you can come back in the morning. I asked if I could give him/her a call and he refused. In the meantime, my sister wanted to check out an item she won through your current Fuel Runner promotion. He did finally check her out but was not happy about it. In fact, he mentioned under his breath that you only come in here to get everything free! Yes, we do come in because this is the only location near us, to redeem our promotion earnings, but if they did not want to honor these, they should not be a Circle K Franchise. This is simply unacceptable as nobody should be treated this way, especially as a customer. To make matters worse, I stopped back in this evening 4/28 at 8:30 p.m. to purchase the scratch-off tickets. It was a different clerk, so I asked him what time they stop selling scratch-offs behind the counter. He told me never. You can purchase those 24/7! So, here in lies my point. Absolutely ridiculous. Be warned!

The sandwich was right in the cooler at eye level, cashier was friendly enough, and checkout was quick. As for the sandwich, it's basically a US egg salad sandwich with an attempt at giving it a Japanese twist but fairly pricey for what you get. The bread is supposed to mimic Japanese milk bread, and while it's softer than what you usually get in the US, it's still noticeably thicker and a bit dry around the edges with the crust left on. Definitely not that soft, almost fluffy crustless shokupan you'd find in Japan. The filling tastes like standard American egg salad which tasted a bit vinegary and heavier on the mayo (although they do say it's Kewpie), and missing the light silky smooth texture that makes the Japanese version so delicious. Nothing wrong with it, just not what the name might lead you to expect. If you've never had the real thing in Japan, you might think it's pretty good. But if you have, it's clear this version is more of an American interpretation than an actual replica. Overall, the store experience was fine and the sandwich is okay for a quick grab-and-go.

However, I received nothing but complete disappointment due to the unprofessionalism of the store manager and cashiers. On top of that, I wasted a significant amount of time. This happened at the Walgreens in Buffalo Grove (15 N. Buffalo Grove Rd, Buffalo Grove). I am writing this review to warn others to avoid all Walgreens stores altogether, and this location in particular. Hopefully, company management will read this and consider how to improve the situation in what was once a very popular retail chain.

Twice in the past 3-4 months a staff member has come out with a cheerful attitude to help me with a problem. The new tire air machine was confusing for me and Jalen (maybe Jaylen?) not only showed me how to use it on a brutal frigid day but just began without hesitation to fill all four of my tires himself. You can walk in this gas station and immediately get acknowledged and assisted, always with a smile and positive vibes. I think it's the best in the area, where there are several gas stations within a couple miles radius. Prices are fair as well. Always a great experience.

This place just has more aisles. And while we might have one or two cases of a specific type of item, you got full aisles. And not just one aisle, but multiple. And many different brands and types.
