The dining area is spread out across multiple rooms. Service was fast and friendly. I got a burger with cheese, grilled onions, grilled mushrooms and jalapeños. I actually tried to order an extra patty and it was more difficult to do than I hoped. :-) But, I got it done. The burger was cooked perfectly and seasoned well. Very tasty. While traveling through the area, we stopped here for lunch because of the good reviews. For the most part, Manna Cafe lives up to them. We ordered the chicken salad with bacon and lettuce on croissant. While a bit light on the chicken salad itself the flavor was very good; a perfect cold southern sandwich on a warm summer afternoon. The hand cut chips that came with the sandwich were particularly good, crispy and lightly salted. (So good we ordered some to go). The GLT (fried green tomatoes, bacon, lettuce) on croissant was tasty. The croissants were light and fresh. The fried green tomatoes were perfectly fried and lightly seasoned. While the bacon was limited to 2 slices, it added nice flavor. They offer a variety of hot and cold coffee and tea drinks. I had a hot cream based chi that was perfectly spiced. My husband had their sweet tea which was perfectly sweetened without overwhelming the tea. The service was friendly and efficient. It was a great stop. We will definitely come back. read more

Finally had the opportunity to go to Manna for Dinner and try one of their dinner specials. I had the 8oz filet mignon with baked potato and asparagus for my sides. The filet was fantastic and cooked perfectly the way I wanted which was medium rare. The baked potato was perfect as well. Piping hot. I added bacon bits, cheese and sour cream to it and it melted instantly. Definitely hit the spot and great spot for dinner as well. read more

Am in central Georgia for work at the nearby hospital. For lunch almost all the physicians and healthcare workers recommend this place. It's located right off the main highway that runs thru the town and its very spacious inside with a very rustic vibe. You can seat yourself wherever and a server will come take your order. It's a nice place with a good sized menu and healthy options. I really wanted to try the soup of the day and the veggies of the day but they were all out by like 11. It's only open til 3:30 pm and looks like an awesome spot for breakfast and lunch. Food was very tasty and definitely well priced. Now their deserts looked very nice so I ended up getting one and these are a bit more expensive but well worth it! Not sure if we just caught them on a bad day but overall this place was way below the many other 4 and 5 star reviews. As someone noted the hours on Yelp are wrong. We had the fried green tomatoes as suggested by others and found them very salty and with way too much sauce on top. I had to shrimp wrap. There was way to much sauce making it hardly eatable and I like spicy. My husband had the mushroom burger that was way over cooked and dry and the mushrooms looked canned. We thought of dessert but did not want to be disappointed further. They did not have lemon for the sweet tea. As I said, maybe it was a bad day, but as a traveler we won't be keeping this place on our Yelp favorites and will not stop here again. read more

While it is clear the owners didn't splurge on appearance, this noisy restaurant in Hazelhurst, GA does offer delicious fare. The special at the "Manna Cafe" this night was Mai Mai and it was very good and thoughtfully presented, albeit pricey ($23.95) for not including a salad. They specialize in coffee and have one of those expensive machines that grinds it fresh. Mine was indeed good and something you just don't get everywhere. Wonderful place to eat!! In town for state playoffs and wanted to try a local restaurant and we were not disappointed! The swamp burger won an award at a burger competition in Atlanta and had ghost pepper cheese, pulled pork, bacon marmalade, a patty and a really good quality bun. The service was friendly. My family was traveling from Milwaukee to Key West Fl driving down hwy 23 south. Then and our stomachs decided they where Very hungry. My wife did some Great internet searching while in the passenger seat. She stumbled on Mannas on the web. She read some reviews and we said let's stop. The building was not much to speak of. But as soon as we walked up we noticed how nice it was decorated. We went inside and to our surprise it was Very clean, decorated very nice, as well as a nice atmosphere. We all ordered something different and all where happy with the choices on the menu. When we got our food WOW. All fresh and everything was home made. Being from out of town, and not familiar with the area, we crossed our fingers and hoped for the best. We were not disappointed!! Clean, friendly staff, and incredible food. The price was very reasonable. Honestly I would have paid more and have for way less quality. The presentation of the food showed pride. The burger and sweet potato fries were delicious. They know their way around a deep fat fryer. The fried squash, sweet potato fries, and home-made potato chips were all very good. And they offered funnel fries for dessert, which we declined. The grilled pork chop was flavorful and not over-cooked (thin, but not dried out). It had more garlic than my husband would have preferred, but it didn't detract too much to keep it from being enjoyed. The hamburger was disappointing. It was cooked well, but had a strange flavor.
