Camping in nearby Reidsville. Went for a drive to Vidalia and found Kountry Kafe for lunch. We were able to sit wherever we liked. Menus were given to us and we were told they were only serving breakfast. I chose the Philly Cheesesteak omelette and my husband had the skillet special. We were disappointed that both orders came out burnt with multiple items burnt. The eggs were cooked properly which is impressive but burnt biscuits and hash canceled that out. Additional the plastic cups used didn't seem clean with possible mold inside near b the bottom. While the decor is fun and country western theme and servers were friendly, the food is the most important factor and I do not anticipate returning. read more

I went to Kountry Kade this morning because it is the only place in town that offers Eggs Benedict, that I know of. As an older person by myself, I was relegated to the bar. It was not comfortable . My entree was served with a side I did not order. They replaced it with "burnt fries" rather than home fries. Ketchup could not disguise the flavor. The Eggs Benedict were already cold when they were delivered. That was the toughest English muffin I have ever been served and the hollandaise sauce was bland, like yellow gravy. I would have addressed my dissatisfaction with the waitress had she ever checked on my food. She did not, nor did she refill my coffee after I had been served. I had almost forgotten why we never go there, but the lure of Eggs Benedict drew me in. It won't happen again. read more

This is a good, reliable place to get delicious country food in Vidalia. They've got all the usual foods, but their burgers are the best thing to get in my opinion. Portions are heaping and definitely a good deal. Servers are all super nice, greet you as you walk in, and very eager to help. They make you feel right at home! Found this place on Yelp and Came here to meet my cousin for breakfast on a Saturday morning. Was immediately greeted and seated when I walked through the door, and received a menu. This spot has a nice country feel to it. Pretty compact inside. Has a bar for extra seating. There was quite an amount of traffic coming and going which is a great sign Since my cousin was running a lil late I went ahead and had got started on a cup of coffee. I saw some pics of their ham n cheese omelet online with a side of potatoes and decided to order a SW Omelet with ham, onions, bell peppers but without tomatoes. It took between 20-30 mins to get our food which we didn't order a lot but was surprised it took that long. The waitress was nice and kept us up to date on the food as she came over a few times to give me a refill on my coffee. When our food came out e writhing looked good. But the potatoes were lukewarm and seemed like I got the last scraped corner of the potatoes in the pan. They were burnt and didn't get to taste the flavor of the potatoes. The omelet was ok...it had a good amount of cheddar cheese and bell pepper. I should've stuck with my original plan of just a plain ham n cheddar omelet. Overall it was an avg experience for my first time here...wouldn't mind coming back again to try something different the next time I'm in town. I would give a 3.5 star mainly due to the waiter service and the reasonable priced items on the menu. read more

It's REALLY delicious, deep flavours, great textures wonderful quality. Chicken and waffles: sounds simple, but the way KK does it....chewy slightly buckwheaty mix in the waffle, a bacon crumbed syrup, a chicken fried chicken along side extra crispy spiced beautifully. Daily special was mashed taters and white gravy, green beans, & the aforementioned chicken fried chicken white fillet, a H U G E serving we couldn't finish it. Menu was small, a tiny restaurant in Vidalia Georgia, famous for sweet onions (though we like WALLA WALLA better, we never said THAT in Georgia !) Diner food taken to a higher level. Service is good, drinks kept filled, the UN TEA kept on comin'. Clean and comfortable venue. Eclectic furnishings, used old pickling jars as lamp holders suspended overhead. Good sayings sprinkled round the room. A friendly place we happened upon during our road trip. A fantastic, cozy little breakfast/brunch spot in Vidalia. So so happy theres a great cafe close by, with astoundingly reasonable prices. I was actually shocked by how much I could get for single digit dollar amounts. You could feasibly get breakfast for around $6-7, and I think that is truly amazing. Tasted great, satisfied my french toast craving, and had great atmosphere. Will absolutely be back soon! read more

At first glance it doesn't look like a lot, from entering the door the place is beautifully furnished and the smell is great. I was stopping by to visit some family and decided to take a look around and spotted this place. As soon as I walked in, the person who hosted me was nice and friendly and the food was spot on- I got the two-two-two~ $7.50 and the pancakes were very fluffy and the syrup was just the cherry on top. When it comes to quality breakfast and lunch, Vidalia is something of a Death Valley. Kountry Kafe as one of the very few exceptions. Clean, well, attended by a talented waitstaff, and featuring a menu that walks a fine tight rope between quantity of offerings and quality presentations, this is a pleasant exception to the short staffed, half cleaned breakfast lunch options in the area. Total gem in Vidalia! We've only been in the area a short time, but we've probably been to the Kountry Kafe 5 times. The food is VERY good, not just by small town standards, and the service is pretty quick. After searching for a great breakfast place, that we haven't visited, my father and I decided to check our Kountry cafe. The reviews showed the place to have a very happy customer base, and the pictures made it look welcoming. Upon entering, we immediately noticed the decor (which, me being from Texas, reminded me of there) and the fact that the place was full. This caught us off guard, because we visited on a Tuesday, so great start. While we're were there we were greeted by 2 employees, both helpful and friendly. They seemed to be understaffed, and overwhelmed, due to the amount of work each was performing, could have used another staff member. Aside from that, the food come out delicious. The omlett I had was not only very flavorful, large enough to be filling g, but also nice and warm right up until the last bite (very rare for eggs, in my experience). The seasoned potatoes were seasoned really well, also. I was aittle disappointed that having such a great breakfast, they only offered black coffee, I was hoping to have an espresso, but it was OK. The only food item that wasn't as flavorful as I had hoped, was the gravy. While it was nice and creamy and warm, there wasn't much flavor, to me. This was a pretty small shortcoming, to deal with since the rest of the breakfast was so good, and the service too. I'll be back and really enjoyed the meal, thank you. read more

The is cozy little country kitchen nestled in a strip of local shops on the backside of Vidalia. The decor was quaint: roosters everywhere, seed bags (the looked "full") hung from the sealing, and Rick dark wood everywhere. Nothing about the The Kountry Kafe is pretentious. It merely says "hey, come and stay awhile and enjoy some good food." My husband and I did have to wait a bit for a table, and they did not have all their tables open due to COVID-19 restrictions, which I completely understood. We were sat at a table perfect for two in front of one of the front windows. It was great spot, and table, and I loved being close to the window and the sunshine. My only complaint was that the table was not steady, and as my husband and I are both rather large, and rather clumsy to boot, we had difficulty getting up. But the service was excellent. Our waitress was very attentive, and seemed to have found the right balance between pestering, and providing good service. They were clearly tables as quickly as they could since they had limited tables available, but there inevitably seemed that people had to wait when they arrived. Still the servers were friendly, and the service was just fine. How for the food. I had the two-two-two breakfast plate special: two pancakes, two eggs (cooked anyway you like), and two pieces of meat (bacon or sausage links). I got my scrambled with cheese, and the sausage links. The eggs were perfect. They were creamy, and cheesy, and everything you could want from cheesy scrambled eggs. The sausage links were terrific. I love sausage links and you don't find them that often at a lot of breakfast places. They were also cooked perfectly (i.e not burnt). The pancakes were perfect. Slightly crispy on the outside, but tender in the middle. I only wish that it came with more butter, but they were still wonderful. My husband ordered the southwest omelet which came with toast, and he got the home fries with it. The omelet was great, packed full of veggies and flavor, and the toast was good. He did not try the home fries because he did not think he would he like them. He still thought that it was "pretty good." And considering the price, it is definitely worth a visit when you are in Vidalia! read more

We were visiting Vidalia and were looking forward to having breakfast at this local establishment. There were 6 in our party (including my 93 year old mother). We were told that we would have to wait while our table was prepared and since there was limited room inside, we moved to a couple of outside benches. After 45 minutes I went into the cafe to ensure we had not been forgotten since at least 10 parties of 2 to 3 people had been seated after we had been told to wait. The waitress loudly said, "Baby, does it look like we have a table for a party of 6?". Needless to say, we left. What happened to the southern hospitality that is usually present in Georgia (I am a Georgian)? In this place it is totally lacking. This place was very very good for country diner. As much as I travel, this is probably one of the best diner/cafés that I've been to in a rural town. My wife had the crabcakes, and they were phenomenal. I had the breakfast menu and it was right on spot as well. There corn beef hash, bacon and pancakes a really good. A breakfast/brunch/lunch place that includes some bakery items is smartly fashioned for the rural/city clientele. My wife had the biscuits and gravy. I had the 2 crab cakes/eggs Benedict with home fries(wonderfully crisp) which was tasty and fresh, not fishy. Coffee was good; service was friendly and apologetic for even slight delays. Grab extra bakery items to-go on your way out. They have cinnamon rolls and blueberry muffins, which I have not sampled yet today. Tables are properly shut down for social distancing and the place is hygienic while conveying a country style ambience. Not much holding back 5 stars. I just do not want weekend brunch crowds to expect mimosas or champagne spritzers, which are not my scene. read more

We had never heard of this place but I found it on Yelp. We were looking for a little something different than fast food. We were glad we stopped here. The patti melt was good. Food was hot and served in appropriate amount of time. The waitress was adequate but could have used a happy pill. Not sure what was going on but she did not seem to like people today. At the Kountry Kafe' in Vidalia Georgia . If you never been there, make plans to go. Kay and I went sometime back and was "Covid sat" (meaning 6 ft from your nearest neighbor). The waiter came out to get our order and it being breakfast only day, I ask about the muffins in the display case. He said they were Pecan swirls and Blueberry Swirls. I said give me a Blueberry and a coffee. He replied, "you want it grilled"? I said,"excuse me"? He says again, "do you want it grilled?"grill what, I replied "?, he replied, "the Blueberry muffin". I said, I don't know. He says, "it's really good". I said ok bring us one and I'll let you know. It was delicious, so good we each had another grilled Bluberry Muffin. How did all these years I missed the grilled Blueberry Muffin?
