Since the around 2005 I used to eat at Larry's Giant Subs Vidalia at least three times a week for several years. Better than Subway - as they offered more variety to put into one's salad or sub. You pay a few dollars more than Subway, but it was basically decent, and they gave you a big slice of pickle on the side. And they gave you a points card that everytime you went in and ordered a salad or sub, when enough points were accumulated, you'd get a free salad or sub. So when enough points were accumulated, I happily handed my fully checkedm off card and ordered a Sally Sherman Egg Salad salad with the usual Egg and Mayonaise mix egg salad. But when the salad was brought to y table, I looked down at the salad and saw ONE HARD BOILED cut in half and each of the two little egg halfs were neatly placed in the upper left and upper right corner of the salad. No egg and mayonaise mix egg salad! This happened around 2012, 14 years ago. Such a rip off scam. I have only frequented the place ONCE in 14 years, to see if there were any possible improvements. Just saw the prices jacked up to the Moon! The place is just an over promoted rip off joint. Won't be going back ever again! Avoid Larry's Giant Subs and save yourself the grief. First time eating here and doubtful to by my last. Solid sub sandwhich shop with lots of menu choices. I got the 12 inch giant delight without Mayo. The house made hot sauce is great to dip chips in or drip onto your sandwich. I opted for chips and a medium drink with my sub. With tax and tip the tab was $21.33. Not exactly cheap but the quality is such that I do not mind at all. I'm a fan and will be back soon. Next time I'll post photos of the food. read more

I just got my so called GIANT SUB from Larry's. What a great disappointment! It is actually the size of a hotdog. This is over 20.00 hardly any meat only one choice of lettuce or tomato or onions. Two bites and half of this giant sub was gone. The sandwich was flat. Never never never will I buy from this place again. You should be ashamed of yourself for selling this sorry excuse of a sub in a hot dog bun. read more

A few days ago on my day off came to Larry's to get lunch for work the next day. Ordered a small Philly Cheesesteak and a large Italian Big One. I tell you when I look at the Philly Cheesesteak it makes me miss the goodness of authentic cheesesteaks from Philly like From Johns Roast Pork. I don't know what to think when I look at the sandwich but you can tell from the pic. The Italian Big One sandwich, the only thing big about it was the bread however it was descent. read more

I come to this location pretty often and it is usually amazing! Today I stopped by after work (about 10:45am), starving, and craving a delicious Deanna's chicken Cesar salad- one of my favorite things from there. I got it to go and drove home. There was more cheese than lettuce! For a $10 salad, to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Not only that, but the Romain was so soggy and brown in lots of places. I picked around the cheese as much as I could. Giving the benefit of the doubt that maybe someone new made my salad today, I decided to call and let someone know so this doesn't happen to someone else. Farm to table and all natural sandwiches and salads concept sounds like a good idea. Unfortunately, the garden chicken sandwich was truly bland. The size portion of chicken was insufficient. It was paired with two slice tomatoes and iceberg lettuce on white bread. The iceberg salad with chicken and tomatoes was also underwhelming. We came here for a quick dinner. I had a chicken Boomer with some fixings and it was really good. The bread was excellent which to is one of the things that make the sandwich. The service was great and the place was clean. I recommend this place. read more

I was always a little wary of this place because it doesn't look like much from the outside. But the inside is clean, and my hot ham & cheese was nice and fresh. I liked that it came with a giant pickle spear... haha. I had a cold when I went there, so I couldn't taste very well. But what I could taste was excellent, and I'm already thinking about what I'll order next time from the extensive menu. Larry's is a great alternative if you're tired of Subway. Update: No pickles with a to-go order? That's lame. We also discovered that the drinks are waaaaay too expensive. Water it is. But we still love the sandwiches. read more

Larry's Giant Subs are a giant leap above all other sub restaurants. The breads are always great, never old. The meats are of the best quality, the toppings always fresh. I believe the service is what really puts it over the top. Jeannette, the manager in Vidalia, and most of the regular staff know most of us by name, they know my order before I even make it. I count these ladies as my friends. Even if I go in alone, I know I will have company while eating. read more

I have written an adverse review in the past; times have changed and so has my opinion. They now have a more mature person who actually listens to your order and enters it correctly. The last couple of visits have been a delight with service to the max even during busy lunch periods. We found the food fresh and well prepared. read more

I've been hard on the management in past reviews; obviously training new associates has taken place. Our to go orders were expertly prepared, attractive and complete with plastic ware and napkins. Last week I observed the crew worked together as a team and not distracted by any gizmos. I held a grudge for over a year and glad I relented and gave them another try. read more

I gave your shoppe a try. Needless to say I was unimpressed. I thought it would be like the sub shoppes back in NJ. There, they slice the deli meats and cheeses in front of you. Here, you take pre-sliced cold cuts out of a 1/3 pan in a bain marie, just like Subway. Although it wasn't a bad sandwich, it's just not the same seeing pre-cut meats taken out of a pan or microwaves being used to heat hot orders, as opposed to the freshness one gets from a real deli style sandwich. Not to mention, how is one to know how long those meats have been sitting there. read more

We just moved to the area and wanted to find a good sub shop. I had heard mixed reviews on this place. We loved it though! I had a turkey sub, my husband had a Reuben and my daughter had a meatball. All the sandwiches looked nice when brought out and tasted great! All had a good portion of meat also! We will visit again for sure! read more
