This place is most definitely on my top 5 list in the rankings of "Best Philly cheesesteak in Georgia." I have been driving around looking for this place since I came to the area for work about a month ago. It's hard to find because it seems to be hidden in plain sight in a nondescript store front in the old town / Main Street area of downtown Vidalia. The small store is a mom and pop operation and they ship their bread in from Philadelphia on a daily or weekly rotation. The particular sandwich I had was phenomenal (all the way cheese steak with hot peppers). Now that I have found it, I plan to make it my go to spot whenever I'm craving a Philly cheesesteak.

Restaurant looks like an old gas station from the outside (it may actually have been one). Good job of renovating the place inside. Comfortable looking. Order at the counter. Papa Bucks has pork, brisket, chicken, St Louis Style Ribs, burgers and such. Sides include standards like baked beans, coleslaw, mac and cheese, fries, potato salad and such things as brunswick stew, sweet potato puffs, fried okra, and deep fried corn. I went with the 2 meat combo plate and chose pulled pork and brisket with coleslaw and baked beans. Meats were tender. Brisket was good, but a little more time to render down the fat would have been appreciated. Pork was tasty as well as the coleslaw. Beans seemed a bit overworked/overcooked and had a mealy mouth feel to them which was a bit offputting. Portions were decent as well as prices.
