I went to the Baytown office this morning. I am a 100% disabled veteran. The VA sent me there. Everyone was extremely helpful and polite. After my exam, I was looking at glasses and the tech told me I would have to go to the VA for my glasses. I have mobility problems and is hard for me to get around. I couldn't understand why they would send me for an exam but no glasses. I thanked them and went to my car. While I was trying to get in, the tech said if I would accept lined bifocals, so i accepted their offer. I asked them how much it would cost. They just replied, thank you for your service! I've come to this office for over 30 something years. And my family will still continue.. great service always.

First of all , they sent my reminder to the wrong number, my husband's phone while he was at work. He can't have his phone on at certain times. I was 10 minutes late for my appointment and they would not see me and said I could reschedule. The receptionist said the next patient came early and they had already sent them back, so I said just put me in after the other patient who was using my time, and she said we have patients scheduled back to back today so we can't do it. Unless they only give each patient 10 minutes with the doctor, It seemed they overbooked and squeezed another patient in my spot and they didn't leave room in between appointments. The receptionist wasn't friendly. I was very disappointed! read more

You can make your appointment online or call. The doctor is very good, she answers any questions you may have. She is very patient and she explains everything that she's doing. I didn't feel rushed at all. I Definitely will be returning! read more

This place was recommended to me so I go online and schedule an appointment... A short time later I was contacted to confirm my appointment at 2:30 pm, gather my information, insurance and so on... At this time I am impressed with their customer service until an hour later I receive a call to reschedule my appointment..they have a unscheduled meeting from 11 to 2:30 and will be unavailable for my appointment... Really...Okay, I am confused my appointment is at 2:30 and now you can't see me until Saturday...What a waste of time! read more

I can see clearly now....that I have new contacts! I've been a patient at Vision Max for about 3-4 years, and event though it is a little out of the way it's worth the drive. Dr. Planty and his staff are very efficient and I rarely ever wait to be seen at my scheduled appointment time. The office isn't super fancy, but then again if you're there your vision isn't 100%, so who cares? The main reason I keep coming back is because they are able to take digital images of your eyes! If you've ever had an eye exam, then you've had your eyes dilated and for me - this is like eyeball torture! I get the worst headaches and feel like a zombie for the rest of the day. Well at Vision Max, I don't have to worry about that! For $20 extra, they take the digital image of both eyes, and then I don't have to walk around feeling like my eyes are floating outside of my head! Check up went well...only a small change in the spec script, and a new brand of contacts has my eyeballs feeling like a million bucks! read more

Service matters! And, Dr. Planty certainly delivers. Another optometrist told me that she could not find the 'right' contacts for me. Dr. Planty's approach was thorough, he looked outside of the normal box, he was determined to find a solution and we did. He is very personable and bit witty which makes the visit that much more easier. I would highly recommend Dr. Planty, just a superb practitioner! read more

This was my second visit to this location. I love that they send you reminder cards to let you know when to make your yearly appointment. You have the option of making an appointment online, or over the phone. The Dr is very thorough, she actually listens and answers any question that you may have. They have a pretty good selection of frames and they don't try to sell you what you don't want. The prices are very reasonable. The only reason for 4 stars is the wait to receive the glasses. It takes 8-10 days instead of a couple of hours. read more

Love the accommodations at Mann Eye 2 and they are all so friendly and attentive. The Doctor answered all my questions and she was so awesome in explaining everything. She was so caring and understanding. I will defiantly be making this my new eye care place. I will recommend Mann Eye 2 to friends and family. very accommodating with fitting you in with a last min appointment. friendly doctor but very slim selection on frames. couldn't find the frames my daughter or i wanted so we were able to get our eye exam done but will have to go somewhere else for glasses. read more
