Called 3 times to make my contacts order. The team member end up emailing me their app with my contact order but the total cost due did not include my insurance benefits. After calling the office manager, the staff member finally called me today. As for billing, I had incurred a charge since last year and was constantly asked about paying it. I explained that there should not be a charge and to please explain what it's for. Finally after 13 months of the back and forth I received notification last week that it was a mistake and I don't owe you. Not sure I'll be back after all the hassle.

The clinic is busy, but the system and secretaries make things run quite smooth. I'm a rather difficult case, presenting with angle recession glaucoma following an injury I had over 15 years ago. After a botched attempt in changing my eyedrop regiment at another clinic, Dr. Coburn's team accepted me as a patient and asked me to come by ASAP. As bad as the situation was, Dr. Coburn set me back on the right path. When I'm in a critical point in my care, the doctors here are willing to make exceptions. Dr. Queen has placed a beautiful shunt in my eye. I can't see it. Post-op check ups are frequent and I feel comfortable as a patient. Compared to other clinics, communication is quick and much needed emergency visits are taken seriously. Hard to get care this good anywhere.

He thoroughly explains my diagnoses and treatment options and always lets me decide how I want to treat my chronic illness without forcing his medical opinion - yet he gives good support and advice. The treatment and care I've received is why I always tell my husband if anything ever happens to me, take me to Methodist for treatment. You feel like you're on Grey's Anatomy with all of the med students, fellows, and residents that accompany him, but you also learn more about your illness/situation. I can't recommend Dr. Lee and Methodist Eye enough to those in need of specialist care.

The recording tells you over and over again that all receptionists are busy talking to other clients. Please remain on the line and someone will be with you shortly. All calls are answered in the order in which they are received. So, perhaps they need to hire more receptionists. When you do go to him do not expect him to answer much of any question you might ask ? He just doesn't ? He is an [ eye machine doctor ] In other words he is a robotic Machine that does exactly what he Terms best for medicare ? He does not care about what you think nor about questions you nay ask ? He doesnt have time for that ? " getum in getum out dr. " Fast as possible ? But then this us our medicare system that tells doctors what they may do or may not do ? And what they may not do is anything above standard in an out that might cist them a dollar ? If doctors do not do as medicare tells them then they are dropped from the list of preferred doctors and even more are blacklisted among the medicare companies ? However that still does not explain his behavior pattern ? He simply does what he does and if you try and ask anything it just goes ignored ? His one main nurse there, will jump in and take the load off the old doc very quickly and when you go to deal with her : " she is a trained assualt tiger" Yes, youll loose every time and go away with howsoever this clinic wants you to go away ? And they do want you to go away ? But not before they do just enough to get what money they can from your medicare ? I gave Dr. Ullman's office a try (it's currently Broadway Vision, I believe) and was really happy! He listened as I described that my old prescription for one of my eyes wasn't working very well and that my contacts seemed scratchy in my eyes, and I could tell he focused on trying to help me with those issues. I didn't feel rushed through my exam at all, as I've had with other eye doctors (you know, when they're flipping those lenses back and forth as fast as they can go and you barely have time to register which one looks better?). The selection of frames isn't huge, but it's surely worth checking through! One of the women working there was wonderful in checking color/fit options in the frames I liked. At first my main plan was just to get my current frames updated with new lenses, and to check to see if I might like any other frames. I did find some and then hee-hawed around, trying to decide whether to get them, come back later, or not get them at all. I LOVED and VERY much appreciated that I didn't feel pressured even a little tiny bit to get the new ones. Which I eventually did. :) Oh--and their exam prices were the best I could find after 5 calls around!
