They arrived on time, communicated clearly, and worked steady and quickly until the job was done, taking better care of our belongings than we would have. We had items going to both a house and a storage unit and they were so careful to make sure everything went to the right places. They also successfully fit everything needed into the storage unit which was indoors and required extra labor to get everything through an elevator. We were very impressed with how quickly all four of them finished the job. Arrived on time, fast workers, handsome, careful with our belongings, friendly and courteous.

They were supposed to be at my home on Saturday at 10am. They confirmed this with me on Friday. At 10am there were no movers at my home. I contacted them, and was told they were getting the truck, and they will be on their way. By 10:30am there were still no movers. At this point I called again, and asked about how long it would be, they asked for an additional 20 minutes. No one showed. I gave them an additional 15 minutes before letting them know to cancel the move. Today I received a text asking how the move went. I responded that it didn't and I'd like my deposit back. This is when the owner decided to call me and argue with me about things that were not disclosed to me (them having a 30 minute grace period and one of their employee's having an emergency). I explained that I had given them more than a thirty minute grace period and the employee issues have nothing to do with me. The lack of customer service contacting me the day of to tell me that there would be a delay combined with the lack of professionalism from the owner is what has led me to write this review today. I would not recommend this moving company. read more

Manly Moving did a wonderful job moving us from Idaho to Washington. The process of contacting them, getting our quote, updating our inventory, and securing times for load and unload were easy and took one less stress off my plate. Other companies gave me time frames that consisted of a block of dates our belongings would be delivered to our new home. Manly Moving made sure we knew ahead of time that our movers would be there the day before closing on our home, and that our belongings would be delivered the day after closing on our new home. They came on a Wednesday, delivered in the next state Friday morning. It was such a relief to know our stuff would make it the morning after we got the keys, and I wasn't going to be left wondering where it all was and when it would come. Caleb and Wyatt were great, communicating with us throughout the move and making sure we were okay with the decisions they were making to get our stuff safely secured in the truck. They had a big task of a 5 bedroom home and a large garage, and they did it with smiles on their faces and were so friendly. We ended up having more than could fit in the truck, and thankfully we had rented a bumper pull Uhaul for our freezers that fit the extra stuff they couldn't haul. They communicated with us the whole time that they worried about our amount of inventory once they arrived, but had plans in their mind of what we would do to move forward if it didn't fit in the Uhaul. Even though it would have been my fault for underestimating our belongings on the quote. They were able to come early the morning of unloading, and were just as kind and awesome as they were two days prior. I just want to remind anyone looking to utilize this or any moving company- provide them with some cold drinks, food, and please please please tip your movers! They work so hard so we don't have to, and if you can afford a moving company to take the stress off of you, please take a tip into account when looking to book. They work so hard and deserve more than just a thank you! read more

I had sold my mother's house in Driggs and wanted to move to Chubbuck. I did not think this would be a difficult move. I have moved between states as well as to two different continents. No where did I see a disclaimer that the Manly Moving crew seems to have very little experience and no common sents. Even a warning such as "if you want real movers call Mayflower" would have been helpful. This company is more close to Larry, Moe, and Curly rent a truck. Bottom line: THEIR truck was too small - they should have gotten a second truck. Their workers could not pack. When I asked if they were marking the boxes so they knew which room the stuff came from they had NEVER thought of such a thing. They, "the professional moving company" was afraid to move my television. They even lost their own tools when they taped the bag of tools into one of the boxes... What was it Forest Gump said? Stupid is as stupid does. I ended up spending several hours cleaning up the mess of overlooked items the "professional moving company" missed. These included every painting on the walls and all of the mirrors, plus all the rugs (not carpeting) , but nice through rugs on the floor over the concrete basement. They did manage to disconnect the gate from the top of the stairs despite being told it stays. Hire at your one risk and use short words when talking to them. read more

STOLEN HANDGUN. Well - that was unexpected. We hired manly moving to help us move a large home in Alpine WY. The move itself went very well. They showed up on time and were pleasant guys. We fed them, tipped them and we were pleased. HOWEVER.... During the move - they asked about the contents of my small gun safe. I told them it was empty and that I had moved my hand gun into my center console of my truck. The next morning my 10MM HANDGUN, & 2 pairs of sunglasses were missing - STOLEN. The truck was open all day during the move and locked at night. The company claims that all their staff is LDS (Church of Jesus Christ) and therefore could not have stolen anything. It's worth noting that in the back seat of the same truck there were 2 high end riffles sitting out in plane sight - AND there were high end mountain bikes left on the lawn over night AND there was a gun safe sitting on the front seat of the U-Haul truck that was unlocked - AND there were boxed UHD Flat Screens sitting on the covered front porch - AND there were. no signs of the truck being broken into. We filed a police report - Manly moving said they would help. They said they would "ask the guys if they knew anything"....... Like that would work. The company had been non-responsive. I had great hopes for this moving company. Unfortunately they were for naught. The movers were early and rather than come back or wait they just started moving our things so things were randomly tossed in boxes or placed in storage because there were last minute items we were still packing. One guy was experienced the other was new and therefore they should have had an additional experienced helper. The dolly they had was not a furniture moving dolly and created huge dents in our stair nosing on each step. It was a good thing we were getting our stairs replaced. I bought a brand new $4000 fridge a few weeks prior to the move. I explained in GREAT DETAIL how careful I wanted them to be with my new fridge. There were some tight areas getting it out and they kept insisting it would be fine. I had to take the door knobs off my doors because they didn't want to do it. They ended up denting it regardless and when I mentioned that they said I'm only insured $0.60 per pound. They also damaged 4 outside corner moldings that I had to have retextured and painted. Needless to say they will never be used by me again or recommended to ANYONE. read more

With all the stress of moving to another state these gentlemen showed up on time and got the whole truck unloaded and the piano moved in the two hours we booked them for. The piano was a little too awkward for just the two of them to move up the steep stairs so they called two other co-workers to come help with no extra cost. They were very patient with us. On June 6 there was a slight mixup with move-in date but Manly had two fabulous team members to my home in less than 45 minutes. I was so stressed as my helper had bailed and I was an exhausted Senior. Manly's team took over and completely finished my packing - all of it! and loaded the truck. They showed up early and stayed late to complete the move, were very careful, thoughtful, and efficient in loading and unloading. The guys did a great job. They worked with the adjustment the rental truck company made. They did a pretty good job of packing. Need more practice in packing loose items. I did not like the fact that one of the guys was listening to music (playing it loud) while he was packing. Very unprofessional. Also, they were hesitant about my direction of placing two small loads in different storage units at the same storage company. I am paying them per hour to do what I need them to do (they are doing an "as directed" job). So guys just go with the flow. Good guys. Just need more education in customer service.
