This family run floral shop helped me out with two custom bouquets on Mother's Day 30 minutes before closing. The young employee who took my order from the sidewalk was incredibly kind and apologetic when she let me know one color of roses had run out. She worked with me and suggested lilies, four roses, and baby's breath for each bouquet, letting me know the price of each flower and calculating the total for me before I confirmed my order. I appreciated the step by step transparency. I'm sure you can find a cheaper florist or less pricy bouquets from a corner store but I was in a bind and they were open later than all other florists. Two custom bouquets with wrapping paper ran me about $116-118 after tax. read more

Amazing customer service! A quaint but mighty shop nestled in Chinatown and owned by a lovely couple with two sons. You can tell they love what they do and they have a lightness that makes it easy to visit the shop often. I'm not in the neighborhood as much as I'd like to but happy I had the chance to be reacquainted again with a local business I've always loved. Beautifully priced, local, friendly to locals and tourists, and great selection! read more

ManhattanFlorist.com - A last minute request for a courthouse wedding bouquet - Florists Near Me - New York, New York

We ordered the cascading elegance bouquet and were extremely disappointed with the bouquet. I called ahead of purchasing to ensure they would have the right colors of flowers that I preferred and was told I would need to wait until the next day for delivery so they could source the flowers. We specifically requested no pink/ lilac / or any light colors in the bouquet. Only deep red/ magenta/ black colors. We received a photo from our client that we purchased the flowers for and were extremely disappointed to see all the flowers we ask specifically asked to not be in the bouquet. Our request had been completely ignored. The florist told me there was no pink or any light colors in the bouquet. There is even a blue color which was not in the original bouquet or the request. Very disappointed in the service . I called and sent the photo of the flowers and they person argued that they didn't make any money on the flowers? I paid $250 for the arrangement and it's a flower business. They also argued about the colors saying no pink or light colors were used. I know I may not be a florist but I do know colors. They only offered to take the flowers back. Overall, terrible service. Request ignored , day later delivery , argued about not making profit on the flowers. Will not be ordering again. read more

I was searching for a small business in New York to send flowers to for my friend's birthday since I'm in another state. Came across their website and was thrilled with the arrangements I saw and thought the price points were fairly reasonable for what they advertised. The delivery was sent on the correct date but the major downside was that the bouquet did not look like the picture advertised online and thus made me as online buyer disappointed since I could not physically go in store to check. I attached picture references below of what I ordered versus what we received. I'll leave it to you to decide if this is the right shop for you. read more

I happened upon this lovely shop while in Chinatown today, so glad I stopped in. They have a number of rare house plants that I haven't seen in the nurseries near my place in Brooklyn. I bought a beautiful Polka Dot Begonia, and the price was better than fair. I usually buy certain plants online as they are hard to find in my area of Brooklyn and/or can be expensive. This plant was actually less than what it would have cost to buy online, and much taller than what I would have received. So was definitely a great deal. There was one particular very rare plant which I had never seen before that I asked the price on and it was quite expensive, the owner told me I could probably find it online for cheaper, which is true as I looked it up later. I really appreciated his honesty and that there was no upsell at all. They also have many more common house plants and beautiful flowers too. Everything in the shop looked super healthy, you can tell they really love what they do. I know the general prices for many plants- their prices are overall very fair or even better than what I've seen in shops near me and online. It's nice to buy from a local family owned business. Both the owner and the other person working there were very friendly and knowledgeable, and even threw in a small freebie. Will definitely be back. read more

I would like to sincerely thank Manhattan Florist for going above and beyond to ensure my complete satisfaction for a floral arrangement I ordered for my daughter-in-law's grandmother's funeral. There was a mix up at the funeral home in Chinatown where my beautiful arrangement was not displayed for the family to have for the service, even though it was delivered right on time the day before. I called Manhattan Florist to tell them what had happened, and they immediately offered to make another identical arrangement (at no charge) for the family to enjoy at their home. This meant so much to me as a customer ordering from out of state, and my daughter-in-law's family for Manhattan Florist to make such a generous offer to ensure customer satisfaction. The arrangement they received was absolutely beautiful! Thank you again for your 5+ Star customer service! read more

Manhattan Florist is such a reliable Chinatown spot for getting flowers, plants, etc. The staff is super attentive and able to create custom bouquets and arrangements based on what you are looking for. Picture on this post is a custom bouquet for my girlfriend's mom's birthday. Ended up being ~$65 (pretty standard in NYC). Also, I'm fairly certain this is family owned as it's always familiar faces helping out. If are looking for flowers, stop by and help out a small business. read more

Extremely small flower shop in bayard street. There's many varieties of flowers you can buy here. I bought lilies and roses for my mother on her birthday. The owner gave me a complimentary vase with it as well. The total price was around 40 something dollars. This flower shop is a lot more expensive than other flower shops around Chinatown. The two staff that was working in the shop that day I went was extremely nice and caring. One of the lady seemed like she had a lot of knowledge of the plants. She was teaching this much younger looking lady about how to arrange the flowers. Both ladies assisted my needs very well and I'm very pleased of the service. I recommend to come to this place if you're getting flowers for someone. read more

Manhattan Florist is amazing! 5 stars! I recently was married at Laconda Verde in Tribeca. I met with Susan, at Manhattan Florist, and she was wonderful. She listened to my ideas and shared her expert advice. They created beautiful floral arrangements for my special day. They were true professionals, delivering my bouquet to me that morning so that I could have the flowers for my photo shoot and then delivering the flowers to the restaurant prior to my event starting. A week and a half later, the floral arrangements are still healthy and thriving in my home! Looking beautiful as ever! If you want beauty, true experts and quality- look no further than Manhattan Florist. Thank you Susan and team! read more

This place is amazing. Walked in with one small plant and walked out with 2 more beautiful calatheas (and I had to stop myself from buying more). They had such a variety, prices were reasonable, and the young woman working there was so friendly and sweet. She was so knowledgeable about the different plant types and told us all about how to care for our plants as she packed them up for us. It's very clear that they care about the plants they're selling. We will definitely be back! read more

ManhattanFlorist.com - Gorgeous plants (bamboo from a different store) - Florists Near Me - New York, New York

Little cute flower shop with very good service. I was buying some narcissus for my house and found some here with good quality. The saleswoman was nice and taught me all the details I need to know to keep the plants in good conditions and she also cleaned up the bulb for me to make sure the plant in the water wouldn't get moldy in the future. HOWEVER, the big downside of this flower shop is that everything is overpriced. The narcissus I got is $5 for each bulb - can't you believe it?! I got one before in UWS and was only $2~3 I swear. The little pot of plant was ~$15, which I originally wanted to buy. At IKEA, each little pot is lower than $5. I am not familiar with flower market but given my limited experience, this high price is unheard of. Maybe I have been spoiled by the low price I have been luckily entitled to at IKEA and UWS. But I don't think I will come back again. read more

The plants are mediocre, but the customer service was great - so for that reason I'll give them a 4. As soon as we started looking at the plants outside the shop someone came to assist us. We had a woman who was very knowledgeable and helpful - you can tell that she knew what she was talking about. We got a jasmine that's already not in the best condition, and it's only been a couple of days. My advice: don't get a plant that's been sitting outside the store. I'm no botanist, but these extreme temperatures can't be good for the plants (unless it's a cactus). The ones sitting outside looked scorched. read more

I been coming here for years to buy flowers for my dad to give my mom every Valentine's Day. The first couple years, the flowers we received were quite nice. but this year because I thought I could really trust this place, we booked a bouquet that was 250$ worth. The next day after my mom received it. The roses were already dying and some of the other flowers on there as well. I can't believe we spent 250$ on this bouquet. and half the flowers are already dead within the second day. We've been coming here annually. But this will b the last year I will be purchasing from them a read more

This is a small flower shop. They usually have a lot of plants placed outside of the sidewalk. When I walk pass by, it may get a little overwhelming with plants in the way and tourist walking by and with locals standing in front of the shop looking at the flowers. Two staffs, I dealt with was pleasantly nice and helpful! I had brought plants and flowers from here a few times. They also have a good insect killer, but they are always low on stock somehow. They need to order more! I have gotten a flower bouquet delivered to me from here ;) and I have ordered a flower bouquet to be sent out. When I placed an order on a flower, I have showed them a picture on something I wanted and they suggested something similar which was still pretty. The price was reasonable and they had delivery. I have asked for a delivery time and it got there roughly 30 minutes earlier then expected. Their time was very prompted. read more

I went into those flower shop expecting beautiful pink roses. I asked the lady there to show me pink roses. I saw some pretty ones and I told her I'll get those and she said she has to sell the ones in the front first. And the ones she took out pink wrinkled dying flowers.. I stopped her after seeing the flowers and said I'll get the red ones instead and she gave me that rude look like I annoyed her or something for a second. She took out the red roses and I was expecting the roses to be better quality. The guy was wrapping it so I was more at ease because I trusted him but turns out later I find out the red roses they gave me were dying as well... This was for my one year anniversary with my significant other. I am so disappointed.. Don't come here for flowers if you want beautiful ones. They will sell you the dying ones. I was torn between giving this place 2 or 3 but thinking back to what happened on my wedding day, I relented and decide to give it a 2. After searching at least 8 different florists between Flushing and Ctown, I decided to go with Manhattan Florist mainly b/c Susan spoke perfect English and really seemed like she had an eye for design. You'll probably save a bit of money by getting your flowers here compared to other florists in Manhattan but if cost is your # 1 factor, then I would go with other chinese florists as their prices were alot more competitive (plus they charge tax here which is uncommon for chinese florists). Anyways, so we had discussed getting calalily arrangements for my bridal bouqet. I really wanted calalillies and that's all I ask about when I was shopping around. Susan was extremely thorough and even put something together for visualization which none of the other florists had done. So what happens on the morning of the BIG DAY when my BIL picked up the flowers back to my apt? No calalillies! It was the only thing I looked for and nowhere to be found. The flowers still look gorgeous but still.. I had made that my # 1 requirement and paid a bundle for it! I was stressed out as it is and what she offered was to knock off a small portion of the bill. I was ok with that b/c what else can I do? Of course at the end of the day, it wouldn't have mattered as much but still.. still.. still.. Lesson learned - always call the week before to confirm your order. But who knew!! It was all written down on the invoice. :-/ Pros: customer service, location, price Cons: did not deliver what I had asked for (otherwise I would have given this place 4 stars). read more

WARNING: DO NOT USE THIS PLACE FOR VALENTINES DAY!!! So here I am ordering flowers for v-day thinking it was going to be all good, and... THEY NEVER DELIVERED THE FLOWERS!!! Stopped by here looking for a larger plant, ended up with something smaller plus another item as a gift. The young lady working here was incredibly sweet and extremely helpful. This is the first time i'm writing a review, so bare with my my fellow yelpers. I discovered this store from a last minute birthday bouquet hunt. Naturally I had no idea what to get, the shop keepers where very helpful in picking out the flowers with me. They gave suggestions, showed me samples of different arrangements. And was being very helpful and sincere with all of my questions. You know it's a nice bouquet when multiple random strangers ask "are those for me?" Another thing to note was the wrapping on the flowers, not too much, not too little, my favorite is the really nice bow to top the whole thing off. Consistently great floral arrangements, family from out of state used to rely on big chain florists to deliver flowers to us during the holidays, they were always pedestrian and substandard. We ended up just telling our relatives to STOP using the big chains and just call Susan - ever since then our floral arrangements from family and friends have been GREAT! Susan is also a GREAT asset to Chinatown since she keeps abreast of news and takes and ACTIVE role in her community despite not living in Chinatown, that's reason enough to go to her, and NOT to a national chain. read more
