    Expectations: online advertisement.

I was searching for a small business in New York to send flowers to for my friend's birthday since I'm in another state. Came across their website and was thrilled with the arrangements I saw and thought the price points were fairly reasonable for what they advertised. The delivery was sent on the correct date but the major downside was that the bouquet did not look like the picture advertised online and thus made me as online buyer disappointed since I could not physically go in store to check. I attached picture references below of what I ordered versus what we received. I'll leave it to you to decide if this is the right shop for you.

I love the variety of plants and flower arrangements this store has! They specialize in a rotating variety of rare plants alongside with flower arrangements for any occasion! The service is great! The space is a little cramped but only because they have so many choices to choose from. They also delivered flower arrangements via their website.

I happened upon this lovely shop while in Chinatown today, so glad I stopped in. They have a number of rare house plants that I haven't seen in the nurseries near my place in Brooklyn. I bought a beautiful Polka Dot Begonia, and the price was better than fair. I usually buy certain plants online as they are hard to find in my area of Brooklyn and/or can be expensive. This plant was actually less than what it would have cost to buy online, and much taller than what I would have received. So was definitely a great deal. There was one particular very rare plant which I had never seen before that I asked the price on and it was quite expensive, the owner told me I could probably find it online for cheaper, which is true as I looked it up later. I really appreciated his honesty and that there was no upsell at all. They also have many more common house plants and beautiful flowers too. Everything in the shop looked super healthy, you can tell they really love what they do. I know the general prices for many plants- their prices are overall very fair or even better than what I've seen in shops near me and online. It's nice to buy from a local family owned business. Both the owner and the other person working there were very friendly and knowledgeable, and even threw in a small freebie. Will definitely be back.

Manhattan Florist is such a reliable Chinatown spot for getting flowers, plants, etc. The staff is super attentive and able to create custom bouquets and arrangements based on what you are looking for. Picture on this post is a custom bouquet for my girlfriend's mom's birthday. Ended up being ~$65 (pretty standard in NYC). Also, I'm fairly certain this is family owned as it's always familiar faces helping out. If are looking for flowers, stop by and help out a small business.

I'm a plant mom so I enjoy stopping at plant/flower stores- this one especially caught my eye. There were some flowers and plants I wasn't familiar with. Which was nice- the owner was very kinda and talk about the ones I didn't know about. Explained how to care for it and the variations of the plants. The pricing is very fair!

This place is amazing! Went there to get a bouquet for my friend's wedding at city hall. The woman who owns it was so helpful in picking out the flowers, and she also helped me arrange it! It turned out so much more beautifully than I could have ever done myself! My friend loved it! Thank you so much!!

I received these incredible flowers from Manhattan Florist in the dead of the winter when you wouldn't expect very good quality. But they are amazing! They have lasted for days and look amazing. I'm so happy with their work.

Manhattan Florist is amazing! 5 stars! I recently was married at Laconda Verde in Tribeca. I met with Susan, at Manhattan Florist, and she was wonderful. She listened to my ideas and shared her expert advice. They created beautiful floral arrangements for my special day. They were true professionals, delivering my bouquet to me that morning so that I could have the flowers for my photo shoot and then delivering the flowers to the restaurant prior to my event starting. A week and a half later, the floral arrangements are still healthy and thriving in my home! Looking beautiful as ever! If you want beauty, true experts and quality- look no further than Manhattan Florist. Thank you Susan and team!

This place is amazing. Walked in with one small plant and walked out with 2 more beautiful calatheas (and I had to stop myself from buying more). They had such a variety, prices were reasonable, and the young woman working there was so friendly and sweet. She was so knowledgeable about the different plant types and told us all about how to care for our plants as she packed them up for us. It's very clear that they care about the plants they're selling. We will definitely be back!

Little cute flower shop with very good service. I was buying some narcissus for my house and found some here with good quality. The saleswoman was nice and taught me all the details I need to know to keep the plants in good conditions and she also cleaned up the bulb for me to make sure the plant in the water wouldn't get moldy in the future. HOWEVER, the big downside of this flower shop is that everything is overpriced. The narcissus I got is $5 for each bulb - can't you believe it?! I got one before in UWS and was only $2~3 I swear. The little pot of plant was ~$15, which I originally wanted to buy. At IKEA, each little pot is lower than $5. I am not familiar with flower market but given my limited experience, this high price is unheard of. Maybe I have been spoiled by the low price I have been luckily entitled to at IKEA and UWS. But I don't think I will come back again.

I came here for flowers for my girlfriends birthday. I was looking for peonies specifically but nowhere else in Chinatown carried them. Except Manhattan florist! I didn't want to spend too much and was worried it would not come out nice but the florist assured me it would be beautiful. The day I picked it up, the flowers were amazing and top my expectation. Definitely a great value as well as a great product. This will be my new goto florist!

I been coming here for years to buy flowers for my dad to give my mom every Valentine's Day. The first couple years, the flowers we received were quite nice. but this year because I thought I could really trust this place, we booked a bouquet that was 250$ worth. The next day after my mom received it. The roses were already dying and some of the other flowers on there as well. I can't believe we spent 250$ on this bouquet. and half the flowers are already dead within the second day. We've been coming here annually. But this will b the last year I will be purchasing from them a

The plants are mediocre, but the customer service was great - so for that reason I'll give them a 4. As soon as we started looking at the plants outside the shop someone came to assist us. We had a woman who was very knowledgeable and helpful - you can tell that she knew what she was talking about. We got a jasmine that's already not in the best condition, and it's only been a couple of days. My advice: don't get a plant that's been sitting outside the store. I'm no botanist, but these extreme temperatures can't be good for the plants (unless it's a cactus). The ones sitting outside looked scorched.

I highly suggest anyone who wants beautiful flowers to go elsewhere. Don't go here!! People here don't care about their customers.

Charlotte is great and she helped make my wedding floral vision come true! I looked at another florist but even though they always have gorgeous flowers (and they've been a local go-to flower shop of mine), they were way over my budget... about 2-3k above my budget, to be exact. For the same services and still with beautiful floral arrangements, Floral Heights did the job perfectly and at a fraction of the cost. We had table centerpieces, bridal/bridesmaid bouquets, bridal flower crown, groom/groomsmen/father boutonnières, mother corsages, and flowers for the wedding cake. During our meetings, we altered the flowers a bit, and the end result was perfect. I could not ask for more. Flowers were gorgeous, fresh, and fragrant. Charlotte delivered the flowers herself and even helped me put on my flower crown. It was beautiful. Even more beautiful than I could have ever imagined. Thank you, Floral Heights, for making my special day even more special!

Thank you a Floral Heights. Can't wait to see what a deluxe arrangement looks like!

I'm not normally buying plants or plant-related products because the only success I've had in my apartment is one type of succulent (the Hobbit Jade Plant) that seems to thrive no matter what. That being said, I wanted to combine two separate plants into one pot on my window sill and needed the soil and a rectangular planter. Note - The only rectangular planters I saw were plastic, the soil was pricy compared to Home Depot, and an additional Hobbit Jade Plant was pricier there than what I've seen elsewhere. That being said, there may be other items competitive in price or not available elsewhere... plus (at least for me) it's convenient. Plus, it sells items like soil in smaller quantities, which may be convenient for people with small apartments. Recommend coming and checking Urban Garden Center out, including its chickens both in the hen house and roaming around free range!

Also, the plants that cost me a couple of thousand dollars had many broken branches because the workers rushed to install them. They also want payment up front before any delivery/installation/scheduling. It was a horrible and stressful experience. Informing the owner of my experience resulted only in his making excuses for USG's bad actions with no apology whatsoever. ***And because I posted my review, the owner Dimitri vindictively told me that he would no longer stand behind the plants or the work done to make things right. He didn't like my honest review. Prior to my review, he was willing to make right his failures, if needed. It is disappointing that UGC is unable to acknowledge its mistakes or shortcomings, and that they do not know how to interact with customers.
