We decided to book a Central Park pedicab tour so we could see more of the park in a shorter amount of time, and after reading countless reviews, we specifically requested Barry as our guide. He absolutely lived up to the hype! We were picked up just outside Magnolia Bakery, which worked out perfectly because we got to enjoy their famous banana pudding before our tour began. From the moment we met Barry, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and genuinely invested in making our experience memorable. He took us to all of Central Park's must-see locations and best photo spots. He even helped us adjust our camera settings so we could get the best pictures based on the lighting and scenery. One of our favorite parts was hearing about all the movies and TV shows filmed throughout the park. Barry pointed out famous filming locations and shared fun facts along the way. To top it all off, he took us to the beautiful cherry blossom trees for some amazing photos at the end of the tour. This was such a fun and relaxing way to experience Central Park, and my daughter said it was one of her favorite parts of our entire trip. He was extremely knowledgeable and full of insights and facts about the park. Occasionally he would pull off for us to take pictures and the best photo of our ride was taken by him! He offers an hour or two hour tour and on the website lists the points of interest you'll see. It's a pedicab ride either through manhattan or Central Park. He offers a military discount of $20 off, be sure to inform him prior if you are eligible. The price listed includes from 1-3 people total (not per person). A group of 4 would require paying for another pedicab. It was a great way to hit the highlights of Central Park without killing your legs or feet! Definitely, worthwhile as you would never be able to cover as much ground if by foot.. We were able to stop and take pictures at most of the areas. Some places they do not stop due to no pedicab parking laws. It was nice that we were able to still see things at night. We wanted to go earlier in the day but our own schedule interfered. An hour of it we saw in daylight and the second hour went into night time. Because of this company we were able to squeeze in Central Park and relax and learn some history along the way! We covered a lot of ground! Russell, our pedicab driver was super sweet and knowledgeable and ensured we were comfortable. The temperatures dropped and he offered coverings for our legs as we were wearing dresses. Russell even took pictures of us for us. He is a very pleasant individual with a good disposition. My sister and I felt they both were very accommodating! We got to meet John in person, because we didn't have enough cash on us and we needed to use our credit card. Russell was able to call him and John met up so that we could swipe our credit card to pay. If you pay online and you are military, he can give a cash refund of the $20. John answered our questions about history of Central Park, how trees were planted, the tree types, different areas of Central Park, main attractions and even stopped for a 5 min walk/photo stops. Later, he was nice to ride us to Rockefeller Center - the place we were heading next after Central Park.
