Cotton candy drink was my favorite !!

My first time coming here and it was a cool vibe minus the hectic parking areas. There was a group of 15 of us and we enjoyed dinner and entertainment but lord the half naked women at the front door is too much. Food was 3/5 but drinks were 5/5. I enjoyed the different rooms for dancing but it's nothing I'd make a point to Come back again.

So first I love ambiance it reminds me of an art deco, swanky jazz bar it has live music the walls have fun paintings and art so it's perfect for photos. Now I was a little disappointed bc they no longer have the arial show that they had years ago. The food was amazing all the drinks were great flavorful not watered down even the alcoholic and non-alcoholic ones, the lobster pasta was amazing, the salmon with creamy mushroom omg was actually to die for, it wasn't too salty or too fatty I was so full but just had to finish it cause it was that good. Someone at my table got creamy risotto and that was also amazing, the apps of fried calamari and Caribbean coconut shrimp were soooo delicious and with the sauces that come with it. Our waiter was so nice he gave great recommendations and accommodate us as best he could, even brought our complimentary cake for the anniversary we were celebrating

The promoter who represents mango's who got mad because I said Lyfe Jennings never showed up

I never posted about any events, only factual information. I spent over $1,800 to attend a Lyfe Jennings concert, which he failed to attend. As a professional promoter, you sent me a text stating that you would not take any further action on my behalf, despite previously committing to make things right after I expressed my dissatisfaction on Facebook. However, I did not post on Facebook; Gmoney did. Bad business practices.

This place?? A whole experience. It's giving Vegas + Miami + a telenovela dance battle. Yes, the drinks are a little pricey but honestly? You're getting way more than just a drink. There's acrobatic dancers flipping around, a full-on Bad Bunny mini concert vibe, and live performances that keep you entertained the whole time. The DJ was actually really good too played everything I wanted to hear, no weird mixes or buzzkills. The energy was fun without being overwhelming, and the crowd felt like everyone just wanted to have a good time.It was a birthday night and Mango's made it feel special. Definitely not my last time here.

My friends ordered a couch for the event and it took the staff a while to get us seated but after that it was an absolute blast. Great music. Great service. Polite staff.

The food was good. Our waiter was attentive and welcoming. The ambiance was nice after 10 p.m it turned into a club. Unfortunately we missed the show. They had dancers on stage dressed in costumes. From what I seen it was very entertaining

We celebrated my daughter's graduation at Mango's Tropical Cafe, and we had an amazing time. We had made a reservation, so they sat us down right away. We enjoyed our drinks and appetizers while watching live performances: s guitar player, dancers, and singers. The food was good, but the service was slow. They brought the ribs first, and after 10 minutes, they brought the Fajita. My girls were done eating when they finally brought my salmon. Thankfully, the DJ was not shy on his great repertoire, so I didn't focus on having my dish last. I was going to order another drink, but my server brought the ck. Then they discreetly asked us our table as it was going to be converted to a VIP section. Overall, it's a great place for a fun night out, and my graduate enjoyed the experience. I can see myself going back next time I'm in Orlando.

Different vibes on a Sunday, Cinco de Mayo. The price for margarita is 18$ on the 2nd floor and 10$ on 1st floor. Wait staff was always roving around, friendly, and fast. Great atmosphere and music.

The hype of this place has always been for the shows and the club at night, but I was entertained and felt like the shows were great, and they had some decent food and drink packages to go with it. I actually came for a company event so I'm not sure how much it cost to actually get in for their regular selected club nights, but I do know they get packed fairly quickly ! Parking Lot is a bit smaller given the size of the restaurant , but they just now opened the new parking lot in case you can't find any in the front. Service was great and our waitresses were very helpful and attentive to our refills and wants. Given this was my first time I would say it was a great show and nice place to go, but I wasn't too impressed with the food. They're mainly known more for the drinks and the club scene. I still would recommend to come and check out their great entertainment and service.

Celebrated my birthday here with wifey. I was welcomed in the front entrance with a photoshoot, after that we were walked to our table. The ambiance was friendly. Good stage of latin presence. The entertainment was great! 2 hrs of theatrical singing/dancing from Columbia, Mexico, Cuba, Brazil. Additional to that, even had a Magic Show and Michael Jackson! A mixed flavor of everything. There was an after show that demonstrated art and music. It was really cool. The food on the other hand was just ok, not saying it was great but just ok. Had a filet mignon with potato and asparagus. My wife had the sea bass with Rice and asparagus. Seabass was very good but that orange rice they served us tasted spoiled! We brought it up to attention and did not want to make a big fuss about it. Filet Mignot was alittle overcooked. Again just ok. We did order a 96 ounce fish bowl with assorted alcohol. Now that was great loo! They gave me my cake and wished me happy birthday, which was a kind gesture. Overall, I recommend this place for a latin vibe. The show is a production which entertained my wife and I which all that matters. Congo line and dancing. Some of the hottest Latinas I have seen that exhibited talent. They both serve food and dance their butts off! Not to mention friendly service from my waiter. The attitudes of every individual worker here was welcoming. Which subseudes the average food. This is why I give this place 5 stars. The beauty of the people and great customer service!! They always attended to my needs. I recommend this place to have a latin experience. I do advise Mangos to clear all the tables on the dance floor so you can dance! The chairs was killing the club scene experience.

I was a frequent patron of Mango's on South beach, and always enjoyed its concept and business model. They're successful because of the effort they put into creating the perfect atmosphere to have fun with great music, an international representation and welcoming. But two things I'd like to underscore are its hard workers: from bathroom monitors to cooks and of course bartenders and servers - and the performers. This show, featuring a variety of music from Michael Jackson to Bruno Mars, y de Celia Cruz hasta Gloria Estefan, is worthy of comparing to things you might see in Las Vegas or Los Angeles!

Mango's Tropical Cafe Reviews in Other Languages

Ask the Community - Mango's Tropical Cafe

    Are kids allowed after dark?

I would say no. The place turns into a club after hours. I guess it depends on how early you go. They have a Drag Show on Wednesday nights that starts at 8p.

    Is the music Latin?

Mostly Latin music is played, yes.

Is this place open and doing stage show?

Yes. The individual clubs were closed when I went. Just the main area was open and there were shows.

What is the cover charge for a Sat. night, after 10:00?

Ranges from $5 to $20 as the night progresses and is also based on occupancy.

    Are children allowed?

Yes children are allowed and they dance

Is it possible to actually speak with the owner?

I have been there several time and never met the owner but the place is very actractive and the girls beautiful

Are the live shows all the week or just for the weekend? Do I have to make a reservation?

I believe the show is live every night. Reservations are recommended but not required, but if you don't make a reservation you won't be guaranteed entry either. However, if you are going Friday, Saturday or Sunday you best make a reservation.

It is there a cover charge?

Sort of. The way me and my family did it was make an online reservation and you have to put down a $10 per person reservation deposit which goes towards you food that you order during the dinner show. That is for the early show though. The late… Read more

What is the best thing to order from the Ala cart menu?

I had soup of the day, black bean, wedge salad, prime rib. All were delicious.

How much can I expect to spend for a night out at Mango's for dinner and drinks?.... Thanks in advance

For two people, about $150 - $200. You have to make reservations for dinner with a $25 pp deposit. Then you have to order from the prefixe menu which is about $50 pp.

Hay que pagar en la entrada?

    No, se necesitó pagar

Until what time minors can be there? Can I do my 17th birthday there?

Until 10:30-11 pm! Yes you can and I️ highly recommend it! Give Mango's a call and they'll talk you through the reservation process!

Until what time minors can be there?

Minors are allowed to stay until around 10:30-11pm every night. After that it turns 21+.

Can kids attend mangos? My daughter is 7

Absolutely. Kids can even go on stage to dance and have fun.

With that said, the food was excellent and there's a ton to choose from - it's easy to get overwhelmed, but the thing I enjoyed the most was the service and how sweet our server was (I forgot her name, but she was always so sweet and patient with our family). There were tons of folks eating mofongo so I'm sure that's a fan favorite here. We tried a few appetizers, juices, rice and beans, and shared a large platter that had multiple options for the family since it was our first visit and we didn't know what to try first. The tostones rellenos de churrasco (skirt steak stuffed fried green plantains) were delicious and come with five little cups and a dipping sauce that I'm pretty sure was mayo/ketchup. They also put a little PR flag on top which my kids enjoyed playing with. This ended up being my main meal because I wasn't that hungry, and it was the perfect bite of crispy, salty, and creamy with the dipping sauce. We also tried another appetizer that I didn't try, alcapurria de carne, which comes with two rolls cut in half (husband enjoyed it) and the Assorted Pal Campo which comes with chicharon, fried yuca, chicharron de pollo, tostones, fried cheese topped with a sweet guava sauce (that my daughter was not a huge fan of - I would ask for it on the side next time), and sausage. Definitely a heavy meal - and I felt like I needed to eat salad for the next two days straight after this meal - but it was tasty. Next time I'll ask for a side of cucumbers or something to break up all of the fried elements, or order something that comes with slaw/veggies.

Their service is great and fast, but more importantly their food is mouth watering good. It always leaves me with a craving to come back and a full stomach ready to tackle the rest of my workday. My favorites have consisted of a Cuban sandwich which is full of pork and sauce and toasted nicely. It also does not fall apart when eating which is a plus when you are trying to stay looking presentable. Their pork is amazingly juicy and just falls apart in your mouth and has been worth every stain I have accidentally caused on my dress shirts. The white rice is fluffy and simple and good but their yellow rice is much better with many items. Their chicharron de cerdo is crispy and breaks easy and it's never been hard or chewy. Their ropa vieja is also delicious and I can't help but devour the entire plate. The rice and beans paired real good with this! My favorite sides have been the avocado salad and their macaroni salad! Both very light and balanced well with light citrus flavors in the avocado salad. I'll keep coming back here because the food honestly reminds me of so many great dishes my family use to make at home and after eating at so many places around Orlando I had yet to find a better place to get Spanish food like this!

Ok this has to be my favorite restaurant in Orlando and I loved the food so much. Alfredo was my…read moreserver and he had the best recommendation and I loved it. The empanada came LOADED with shredded beef and this empanada didn't skimp out on quality. It tastes so good when you dip it with the green sauce and it was chef's kiss. I think this is the best empanada I ever had and when I tried other empanada, it doesn't even compare to this. I ordered another dish but I forgot the name and it's soo good. I was a little disappointed because the menu said pick 3 sides and I chose all beef. Alfredo didn't mention to me that there would be an additional charge for the beef. As a result, I had to pay an additional $10 which was very pricey and didn't find out until I received my bill and saw the charge. I didn't make any complaints because the employees seem not to speak English well and it's hard to be a foreigner trying to adapt to the culture and the language. But this is soo good and I can see why the reviews on yelp are all stellar.

I live close, so have come here quite a bit over the year…read more Pro- Just got renovated, so it looks pretty. The staff is nice, and the food is good. They also have lunch specials, which is nice. Cons- There is ALWAYS a weird perm smell when you go. It literally smells like someone is perming their hair, so not good. Another con is sometimes it takes long to get your food. And last but not least, I think their prices are not reasonable lately. Some of the prices do not match their menu, not sure when they raised their prices but I have never ever heard of a patacon costing almost $26 anywhere, and I frequent a lot of Venezuelan spots. Their name went from Q'Kenan restaurant to Q'Kenan Steakhouse so maybe now they just raised all the prices, I don't know. Their most expensive patacon on the menu is the one with Picańha and it says $17...yet I got charged 25.90. Regardless of how good something is, there shouldn't be a $9 difference from what is on the menu. That is absurd. On my last trip- $43 for an empanada, tequeńos and a patacon just doesn't sound right for Venezuelan food, and I come from living in Miami where restaurants are supposed to be more expensive. Add a tip and you're paying over $50 for street food. That's wild.
