Service is awful everywhere else on the island is packed except here for a reason waited an hour for oysters and shrimp tacos they were walking table to table cause they didn't know who ordered what. And while you wait for your mediocre food you can smell the septic system vent into the tiki bar to work up your appetite. read more

Drinks were super weak in flavor and alcohol. Oysters were pretty dirty. Service was slow despite very few people being there. TVs weren't on. Would not recommend. read more

After driving aimlessly around Apalachicola for an hour looking for a family friendly spot for dinner, we came back to SGI and landed here. We were sat quickly, served quickly and our food was prepared pretty quick. My kids loved the grassy lawn to run around on and play corn hole. Food wasn't bad but if you're looking for gourmet options, you might want to look elsewhere or lower your expectations. read more

Arrived at the restaurant & was told to find a seat. After waiting over 15 minutes, we still had no one come to our table. They seemed very understaffed even though they weren't very busy. I loved the look of the restaurant and hope the service had improved by the next time we try to visit. read more

Was advised not to go to this place but we gave it a try anyways since it's one of the only few restaurants on SGI. The place is SO cute. Huge tiki hut with all of the beachy vibes. It has a million TVs but none of them were turned on? We asked for them to be turned on since we were so bored waiting ( I think we were at this restaurant for almost 3 hours) and they turned a couple on. It took about an hour and a half to get our CHIPS AND SALSA. The excuse was "there was a large party and a large to go order." We saw no large orders of food be brought out so that didn't make sense. When we got our food it was just average. Not great, not bad. Waitress was very nice, and comp'd us a soda and a beer. Definitely not a place we'd come back to. read more

Always loved this location, but previous owners were very lacking in service to the customer. The new owners are very attuned to customer service and the food is very good. The selection of different baked oysters is awesome, my favorite are the Italian. Prosciutto on top can't get any better. read more

A terrible dining experience due to extremely poor service. The restaurant was not busy and yet the service was the worst I've ever had on the island. There are far better restaurants on the island that have much better service. read more

Service from Magan was spot on! Food came out super fast and tasted excellent! They were busy and with our food and service you couldn't tell at all! Would recommend this place anytime! read more

If I could give this place a zero, I would. Worst server ever, over two hours wasted and she was clueless. The manager was helpful and tried to get all of the missing food/disgusting food fixed, but it was too late. Do not go here!! read more

$4 for a microscopic sample of mac and cheese is utterly insane. waitress was cool as frick.

AWFUL!! My sons chicken wings were RAW, the waiter even commented about it. My burger was old, you could tell it had been sitting out for quite some time. I puked shortly after leaving there. My sons stomach hurt the next day and when i spoke with Mike he acted like it was not a big deal and offered us soft drinks and pepto bismol and laughed. My son could have gotten very sick and this is the response we get from the owner. I'm sorry but that is not how a business owner should respond. We are turning this place in to the business services!!! 2 read more

There was great service food came out hot and good. We highly recommend the key lime colada we drank 3. The food was tasty and the people were very nice. Some might be thrown off by them only having one dessert but the fried cheesecake is to die for. It is creamy and hot with the perfect amount of fry around it. This is the best place that we have eaten on the island. We would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone. read more

Hubs and I stopped in for lunch. We each had fish tacos. He had a draft beer and I had a margarita. The bill was $60!!! The fish tacos were served with chips and salsa. We won't return. read more

Location is nice but the prices are too much 11$ for a shot of fireball and the mahi sandwiches are dry and small looked like from frozen. If you are ok with a little longer wait go to blue parrot prices are cheaper and food is better read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Waited over an hour for food, half the table got theirs and the other half never came. Empty drinks the entire time for our kids. Tried to pay and leave, said we have your food to go, then we're told they threw it away. Bar tender then acted surprised when I was frustrated. Insane. DO NOT GO HERE IF YOU PLAN TO EAT. read more

Decent drinks, ok food. Good place if your looking for a couple or few drinks with some food to buffer it. But if your looking for dinner and maybe a drink to wash it down then not so much. Ok look, it's not like the place was busy, not at all, but they messed up our order. They fixed it but come on. There were 3 tables occupied and a couple at the bar and it still gets messed up? And then when we did get it the sides were not on the tray. By the time I it my side my dinner was cold. Now granted the food was fine, after they got it right and all of it to our table. So would I recommend the place, sure but don't expect much. Would I eat there again, sure but I know what I'm walking into so I have that going for me. Now with the pandemic. Outside seating is great otherwise I wouldn't have even sat down. The server wore her mask when she was around us but I think only because were were wearing ours. Not another single person in the joint was even trying to adhere to any masking or Covid protocols. So get a table far away from everything and everyone to minimize your exposure. read more

Waited over an hour for our food, one half of the table got their food and the other half was left watching us while we ate our mediocre food. This is our 5th year in a row coming to SGI and this might be the worst experience we've had eating out.... And we've had many. My friend sharted himself he was so hungry and then my child sat on the bench where my friend had previously sharted. My child then proceeded to throw up due to realizing what he was sitting in causing a huge commotion at our table. The looks of horror from the other customers were something that I will never forget. read more

Couldn't get the bartender to wait on me. I guess shift change is more important than your customers. At least that's what the bartender claimed " sorry it's shift change right now. The owner should watch the camera watch people get blown off. Bar top was dirty. I must have scared the bartender, she wouldn't even look my way. Terrible customer service. read more

Looks nice but young girl waitress had hardly any words to say other than what do you want. Worst service and slow she kept leaving to do something our drinks got waterlogged from the ice melting. We intended on eating there but asked for the check and went to paddys. Paddys is awesome. read more

This is a potential death trap! Six of us recently (Jan 2022) tried to have lunch there and three ended up in the Emergency Room at Weems Memorial Hospital. Two more got sick and are still under the weather. The longly soul who avoided all of this plague was the one who refused bread and dressing on her fish sandwich (Hmmmm!). The incident was referred to the State Dept of Health, but not much is expected from them. Seriously, hygiene in this place seems to be an afterthought. It appears to be a place that wants to sell alcohol as a priority--nuff said! Aside from all the bad news, the luncheon menu is very limited, what is there seems grossly overpriced and the service was not good--appears understaffed. Run, don't walk away from this place. How does one take a star away from this review? read more

DO NOT GO HERE!! Party of 8. Hoped for a quick dinner on our first night at SGI, and this was everything but quick. We waited over an hour for our food. Then only 1/2 of our group got their food. They ended up eating before ours arrived because 20 more minutes passed, and we still didn't have our food. I would tell you how the food was, but we never got ours. I realize the restaurant was short staffed, but don't seat all of your tables and not give your customers a heads up when they arrive that they're looking at a 2 hour wait before they can expect to eat...especially when they have children. The waitress acted like we were inconveniencing her being there. At one point every glass on the table was empty for at least 30 minutes. No courtesy stop in to update on food eta or refills. The menu was limited and mostly fried food. It's disappointing because this place has so much potential, and could have such a great vibe. The concept of the lawn could be great for families with kids that like to play around while waiting, but here we waited and waited and waited and waited. My 8 year old fell asleep laying on a bench. We won't be back ever until new ownership. No way this place stays in business!! read more

Okay food for way too much money. Service was fine, I'm sure they have a lot going on. They wouldn't let me substitute sides even though they all cost the same. Don't bother with this place. read more

This was by far my worst experience in a restaurant EVER. 1. It took an HOUR and a HALF for our food to come. 2. My boyfriend ordered raw oysters and they didn't tell us until everyone else's food came out that they were completely out of raw oysters. 3. He ordered a sandwich instead, and everyone was completely done eating by the time his sandwich came out. 4. When we asked for his meal to be comped, they told us they could not comp it since it was eaten. We then asked for a manager and waited another 30 minutes for a manager to come to our table. 5. Well the manager never came to our table and they finally comped the $10 meal anyways. 6. We had to walk up to the bar for drinks. 7. Multiple orders came out wrong/things forgotten. 8. We were literally stuck at this restaurant for over 2 hours and the food was not even good. 9. I would understand a little more if the place was packed, but it wasn't even a full restaurant. 10. We never received an apology for the ridiculous wait or service. I would literally go anywhere else on the island. Do not give this place your business! read more

Terrible service. No one there and still a long wait for everything. Needs to close until they get proper staff. Food was fair.

Slow waited 45 min after we sat down for our food wasn't busy just slow and food was cold

Great atmosphere, very pleasant hostess and waitress along with good food. We split the Italian oysters for an appetizer and had burgers for dinner. My husband and I have been coming to SGI for years. We both enjoyed our experience and food under the new name and ownership! read more

Bad customer services from the owner. Had to leave. Try acknowledging customers that are standing there and nit ignoring them.

Food, ok. Service (at the bar), awful. No offer of water, no offer of drink refill, had to get my own (plastic) silverware and napkin. It wasn't even busy. You may think that because St George Island is a tourist destination that you will never see these customers again. Well done. As a local, you will never see me again. read more

If I could give less than one star I would. Poor management. We had a new server and it was his second day. We had a party of about 15 people and had several issues. At no point did the manager get involved or apologize. This is unfortunate for such a cute town. I will never return to this restaurant and neither will the party that we had there. read more

food was good but it took 1 hour and 30 minutes to get out to us and another 30 minutes to get our ticket. service here is awful.

If I could leave 0 stars I would. Kassidi made us do her job for her. She made us pass out our own drinks. The food took forever. The ranch was hard. Got half our orders wrong. read more

This is a great drink spot with their regular drink menu as well as off the menu challenges for the bartender. It's a great thatched roof venue kind of in the center of the island read more

Expensive and very rude! Just paid for their new thatched roof after ordering a hamburger and curly fries $12.00 , 2 - $9.00 well drinks, 2 - $5.00 beers. plus tax = $42.00. Only 5 customers there with a rude bartender. Bartender told us to go back to Eastpoint where it was cheaper. So rude. The bartender spent most of her time talking to her friend. 11/9/2021 5:30 pm. read more

The actual restaurant itself was really cool so we had very high hopes. The old restaurant that used to be in its place was our favorite so we expected this to be about the same. Boy were we wrong. The wait staff was awful, we sat there for a good 15-20 minutes before some came to take our drink order. We understand places are short staffed but about 6 waitresses constantly walked past us and just stared at us and people were standing around on their cell phones - we almost got up and walked out. When we ordered, Our waitress didn't write down our orders and the food came out messed up, then the guy who brought the food out acted like they wouldn't be able to fix it. The food itself was absolutely disgusting. I got the beef nachos and I was expecting ground beef, it was some kind of steak that was so tough and covered in fat. It was absolutely gross. Their menu was weird and did not have very many options for people like myself who are allergic to seafood. Save yourself and go off the island if you have to. read more
