There was great service food came out hot and good. We highly recommend the key lime colada we drank 3. The food was tasty and the people were very nice. Some might be thrown off by them only having one dessert but the fried cheesecake is to die for. It is creamy and hot with the perfect amount of fry around it. Was advised not to go to this place but we gave it a try anyways since it's one of the only few restaurants on SGI. The place is SO cute. Huge tiki hut with all of the beachy vibes. It has a million TVs but none of them were turned on? We asked for them to be turned on since we were so bored waiting ( I think we were at this restaurant for almost 3 hours) and they turned a couple on. It took about an hour and a half to get our CHIPS AND SALSA. The excuse was "there was a large party and a large to go order." We saw no large orders of food be brought out so that didn't make sense. When we got our food it was just average. Not great, not bad. Waitress was very nice, and comp'd us a soda and a beer. Definitely not a place we'd come back to. read more

AWFUL!! My sons chicken wings were RAW, the waiter even commented about it. My burger was old, you could tell it had been sitting out for quite some time. I puked shortly after leaving there. My sons stomach hurt the next day and when i spoke with Mike he acted like it was not a big deal and offered us soft drinks and pepto bismol and laughed. After driving aimlessly around Apalachicola for an hour looking for a family friendly spot for dinner, we came back to SGI and landed here. We were sat quickly, served quickly and our food was prepared pretty quick. My kids loved the grassy lawn to run around on and play corn hole. Food wasn't bad but if you're looking for gourmet options, you might want to look elsewhere or lower your expectations. read more

Always loved this location, but previous owners were very lacking in service to the customer. The new owners are very attuned to customer service and the food is very good. The selection of different baked oysters is awesome, my favorite are the Italian. Prosciutto on top can't get any better. read more

Worst experience I've ever had at a restaurant. Waited over an hour for food, half the table got theirs and the other half never came. Empty drinks the entire time for our kids. Waited over an hour for our food, one half of the table got their food and the other half was left watching us while we ate our mediocre food. This is our 5th year in a row coming to SGI and this might be the worst experience we've had eating out.... And we've had many. My friend sharted himself he was so hungry and then my child sat on the bench where my friend had previously sharted. My child then proceeded to throw up due to realizing what he was sitting in causing a huge commotion at our table. This is a potential death trap! Six of us recently (Jan 2022) tried to have lunch there and three ended up in the Emergency Room at Weems Memorial Hospital. Two more got sick and are still under the weather. The longly soul who avoided all of this plague was the one who refused bread and dressing on her fish sandwich (Hmmmm!). The incident was referred to the State Dept of Health, but not much is expected from them. Seriously, hygiene in this place seems to be an afterthought. It appears to be a place that wants to sell alcohol as a priority--nuff said! Aside from all the bad news, the luncheon menu is very limited, what is there seems grossly overpriced and the service was not good--appears understaffed. Run, don't walk away from this place. Decent drinks, ok food. Good place if your looking for a couple or few drinks with some food to buffer it. But if your looking for dinner and maybe a drink to wash it down then not so much. Ok look, it's not like the place was busy, not at all, but they messed up our order. They fixed it but come on. There were 3 tables occupied and a couple at the bar and it still gets messed up? And then when we did get it the sides were not on the tray. By the time I it my side my dinner was cold. Now granted the food was fine, after they got it right and all of it to our table. So would I recommend the place, sure but don't expect much. Would I eat there again, sure but I know what I'm walking into so I have that going for me. Now with the pandemic. Outside seating is great otherwise I wouldn't have even sat down. The server wore her mask when she was around us but I think only because were were wearing ours. DO NOT GO HERE!! Party of 8. Hoped for a quick dinner on our first night at SGI, and this was everything but quick. We waited over an hour for our food. Then only 1/2 of our group got their food. They ended up eating before ours arrived because 20 more minutes passed, and we still didn't have our food. I would tell you how the food was, but we never got ours. I realize the restaurant was short staffed, but don't seat all of your tables and not give your customers a heads up when they arrive that they're looking at a 2 hour wait before they can expect to eat...especially when they have children. The waitress acted like we were inconveniencing her being there. At one point every glass on the table was empty for at least 30 minutes. No courtesy stop in to update on food eta or refills. The menu was limited and mostly fried food. It's disappointing because this place has so much potential, and could have such a great vibe. The concept of the lawn could be great for families with kids that like to play around while waiting, but here we waited and waited and waited and waited. My 8 year old fell asleep laying on a bench. We won't be back ever until new ownership. No way this place stays in business!! read more

This was by far my worst experience in a restaurant EVER. 1. It took an HOUR and a HALF for our food to come. 2. My boyfriend ordered raw oysters and they didn't tell us until everyone else's food came out that they were completely out of raw oysters. 3. He ordered a sandwich instead, and everyone was completely done eating by the time his sandwich came out. 4. When we asked for his meal to be comped, they told us they could not comp it since it was eaten. We then asked for a manager and waited another 30 minutes for a manager to come to our table. 5. Well the manager never came to our table and they finally comped the $10 meal anyways. 6. We had to walk up to the bar for drinks. 7. Multiple orders came out wrong/things forgotten. 8. We were literally stuck at this restaurant for over 2 hours and the food was not even good. 9. I would understand a little more if the place was packed, but it wasn't even a full restaurant. 10. We never received an apology for the ridiculous wait or service. I would literally go anywhere else on the island. Do not give this place your business! read more

Expensive and very rude! Just paid for their new thatched roof after ordering a hamburger and curly fries $12.00 , 2 - $9.00 well drinks, 2 - $5.00 beers. plus tax = $42.00. The actual restaurant itself was really cool so we had very high hopes. The old restaurant that used to be in its place was our favorite so we expected this to be about the same. Boy were we wrong. The wait staff was awful, we sat there for a good 15-20 minutes before some came to take our drink order. We understand places are short staffed but about 6 waitresses constantly walked past us and just stared at us and people were standing around on their cell phones - we almost got up and walked out. When we ordered, Our waitress didn't write down our orders and the food came out messed up, then the guy who brought the food out acted like they wouldn't be able to fix it. The food itself was absolutely disgusting. I got the beef nachos and I was expecting ground beef, it was some kind of steak that was so tough and covered in fat. It was absolutely gross. Their menu was weird and did not have very many options for people like myself who are allergic to seafood. Save yourself and go off the island if you have to. read more
