This was a super neat place! There was a very spacious bar area and I had really great service. The drinks were delicious and had me feeling pretty great by the time I left. I got gator balls and Captain Mike's oysters to start with. The oysters were out of this world and had very generous portions of lobster on them. The gator balls weren't what I was expecting but were still quite tasty. I got a fried shrimp dinner as a main and the pieces of shrimp were huge! It was super filling and the curly fries were tasty, too. read more

They were understaffed so they were trying their best. Give them a break. Kids menu was good- the usual suspects. I got the chicken nachos and they were really good. Not the best, but definitely good. (Could have used some more toppings, like tomatoes, black olives, something). Great ambience, spacious and clean bathrooms. Nice spot for lunch. read more

Amazing bar drinks, the Buffalo oysters was absolutely amazing as well. Our dinner we had Mahi tacos and Mahi sandwich and it was cooked perfectly. Will definitely be coming back read more

i have lived 25 years and never had a burger that trash that costed that much, my son coughed up the food bc the burger was hard and cold service was so terrible it took an hour to get our food and my sons friend said his stomach hurt after drinking the tea. Never going again read more

owner was out of town .no bartender so waitresses said that's why they were slow.20 min wait was actually 40 min wait . no one mentioned they were out of half their menu until it was time to place orders .At end of night - accused us of not paying for drinks we had while we were waiting (we gave waiter a 50 -told her to keep the change $15 tip ) we had receipt as well. terrible experience all the way around read more

This place did not live up to its 2 1/2 star rating. The food was inedible -even for my 12 year old kid. The burgers were bricks. The fries were greasy. the salad was soggy, soggy, and the nachos-Well I don't know how big the can of cheese was, but more is not better. I'm not really sure what kind of rum went into the mixed drink, but my husband called it dark colon. For $9. The server had a completely indifferent attitude. She forgot numerous items and looked like she was ready to go home before the dinner even started. We knew we were taking a chance when we went. We said we had to go once. That was a huge mistake. Cornhole was fun read more

We had a large party and had separate tickets and 5-6 large parties received their appetizers, foods, checks, and left before we got our food. When we received our food it was all wrong and the regular burgers were the size of kids burgers, picture included. Horrible service and to top it off I didn't even get my food. There is a sign that says be patient short staffed but that was not the problem. We were very patient and it was still horrible service and food. read more

Two words about Mango Mikes: Don't Go Terrible service. I know help is hard to find here but this place was awful, and when the food did come out it was at the hands of a sweaty teenager with unkept shoulder length hair and a sideways ball cap. And now.... The food. I ordered the mahi sandwich and it was "off". Just slightly, but I've eaten Mahi all my life and I know it when I taste it. Also came out with absolutely NO sauce or dressing of any kind, as did my daughters shrimp po boy. When I asked for the mahi to be removed from my bill they ARGUED with me! They almost refused but agreed in the end. However, to punish us, I suspect , made us wait 30 minutes for our tab. The piña coladas were awful too, the kind made from a bottle mixture you buy at the grocery. The open air ambience is lovely and with tonight's breeze it's what drew us in. Probably great for a couple of beers they can't mess up but otherwise......nope !!!! read more

Worst place to eat on the island! Don't waste your time and money on this place. Our waitress, Taylor, was awful. We arrived and waited 1.5 hours for our food. Waitress never asked if we wanted a refill or anything. She kept telling us "food should be out any minute"- 45 minutes later it arrived. When the food finally did arrive, it was Luke warm & I got the uneasy feeling that it was left over food from other people's trays. The 2nd worst part is that the ticket- already includes a 20% gratuity that isn't told before- so no matter how awful our waitress was and never checked in, she still got a decent tip. She was however, very attentive when it came time to take our check. The restaurant was only at about 25% capacity. We looked around the restaurant & felt as if we weren't in the minority......Lots is irritated tables & unhappy customers. Made total sense why Blue Parrot was a 2 hr wait & Paddys was 45 min wait and this place sat us immediately. Everyone else on the island knew to steer clear of this place. Here's hoping we don't have food poisoning later tonight. read more

Ordered a to go order, when presented the bill there was a credit card surcharge addedt to the bill, asked to have the surcharge removed since i was paying with a debit card (there is a federal law that states a surcharge can not be added to a debit card) they refused said I had to pay, I still refused, then they called the police. They lost a sale , police had a good laugh, my family will never be back, and I will tell everyone I can about this. LOL. I will be writing a letter to consumer affairs in Florida. read more

the best thing about mango mikes is that there's never a wait, bc everywhere else on the island is better than this joint. the food is okay, the drinks are whatever. ive had some fun here several times. however, you will wait forever to get anything you ordered. if you look at an item labeled "potato wedges," and fail to ask the server to list every single ingredient in the dish, that's your problem. the potato wedges are covered in bacon (not on the menu). if you're a vegetarian they won't bring you a veggie option, they wont take it off your table, and they wont take it off your bill. the manager says its "common sense" to ask for an itemized list of every ingredient if you have dietary restrictions (bc thats not what menus are for???) she also stormed of mid conversation like a child. apparently its YOUR job as a vegetarian customer to ask which menu items (i.e. potatos) have meat in them. the manager won't make it right or treat you with respect, she'll take it out on her server and try to make them pay for it. (we tipped well obvi, its not the severs fault that their manager doesn't know how restaurants work) anyway id rather wait 2 hours for a sandblaster at The Blue Parrot than sip on a "hurricane michael" (shows how much they care about their community) read more

When we first got there we were the only customers. No one greeted us. The cooks and all staff were hanging out at the bar. We sat ourselves and then everyone walked back to where they supposed to be. The restaurant was not clean and the staff acted like we were an inconvenience when we showed up. This used to be one of our favorite spots to visit but seems like something has changed with management. read more

Definitely stay away. We went yesterday. Walked up to the bartender and asked "are we supposed to seat ourselves?" She rudely said, "the hostess is over there" and pointed to a girl sweeping the floor. I said, "how would we know that, no one greeted us?" So then the girl came over, no smile, no enthusiasm, no interest in being a hostess. After giving us water, she did not return and we never were able to gave a drink order. We heard the bar tender tell her "get off your phone." After sitting there for 5-7 minutes we just picked up our stuff and left. Customer service 101: look interested and happy, smile, check on your customers. There was non of this. read more

*WARNING*. CONTAINS EXPLICIT LANGUAGE. I don't even know how to put into words what happened to us this past week at Mango Mike's. After leaving the restroom I could hear the kitchen staff cussing over how busy they were. I asked to speak with co-owner, John, to very politely let him know he might need to shut the propped open door to the kitchen because walking behind me were 2 little girls about ages 5 to 7. John came over to the table to tell me to "make it quick because he was busy...then in the same breath asked if we wanted to buy the place". I told him I was a small business owner as well and understood his frustrations. Apparently John was having a bad day because he yelled at me "you think I give a sh*t. I hear this sh*t everyday". Now... WE LOVE ST GEORGE and the people. We understand staffing issues, Spring Break headaches, and just being tired. But the response from John not only hurts Mango Mikes...it hurts an entire community as well. Weather you like it or not St George depends on tourism. The contractors, property management teams, restaurants, adventure rental stores, etc would simply be devastated if no one came to visit. We have NEVER been treated so poorly and simply hope that no one else visiting Mango Mike's will be either. On a positive note, the ENTIRE, wait staff was amazing!!! Our waitress even apologized for what was said. Hopefully Mango Mikes kitchen staff and co-owner will have a change of heart and understand GEORGIA helps pay their bills. read more

Food was horrendous and took forever. The "fish dip" I couldn't even touch. The look and smell of it was unappetizing and no one in my party would touch it. A great location. But...out of Chardonnay. Out of iced tea. Had raw oysters. They were good, but the container leaked. The waitress told us all the containers leak. All the rest of the food we had was under seasoned and no taste. What a shame because it's a very cool looking place. read more

I asked to substitute the sides with Mac n cheese and was told that I " couldn't do that" so I paid extra for sides which I will include a picture of below. Doc Myers was great when it first opened. Then it went down hill from there. I was hoping the new ownership would return it to past glory but it's 0-3 in my experience. I can't rate the food this time because I gave up before getting service. A cool looking building and games in the yard isn't a substitute for good food and service. I'm done. I've only had breakfast at Beach Pit. Considered trying dinner but since they operate Mango Mikes, I am not going to take the risk of spending the monies at Beach Pit for dinner. Food was good. Fun atmosphere. Super sweet waitress. Key Lime Colada Is where it's at!

Raw oysters-- awful. Old, right out of the refrigerator, not freshly shucked. Did I say awful? I regret not sending them back. Tacos-- bland, very little shrimp in mine or mahi-mahi in my wife's. Flavorless. Patron margaritas-- watery, doubtful there was any Patron in it. Total rip off. Go to Paddy's or Blue Parrot if you need to stay on SGI. Or go to Apalachicola, several Good choices there. read more

honestly 0 stars, worst burger I've ever had, didn't even want to finish, and for 2 burgers and 2 drinks, the total was 55$, they manager was super mean, I said could you please check the total agian and she said, cash or card and stared at me, the food took forever we almost left. Decided to come here after a 2 hour wait at Blue Parrot... worst decision. Service was slow, albeit kind. Food was not worth the lack of wait time. "Fish dip" was disgusting and those who could bear it ended up sick. I wish I could say the bar made up for it, or even the tv's, but just like the food it was a huge disappointment. So much promise, but absolutely not worth your time (no matter the long waits elsewhere). Out of 6 guests, the only food we all agreed was good... the curly fries. read more

Wish I could give a minus 5. Worst place I ever ate...EVER. Prices thru the roof. Food was not only HORRIBLE but not even edible. I got the St. Louis BBQ ribs and they were dry, burnt, and just plain awful. Black beans out of a can and cole slaw that just tasted like chopped cabbage without any flavor and possibly rotten. Service was as bad as the food. When I complained about the ribs the waitress asked "so what do you want me to do?" WTF!! read more

We decided to try again this year. We should have passed. Service took a long time not unusual, but given it was not busy our server should have gotten some help. She was very friendly. Our food took longer than you would expect, but the kids played corn hole. When a different server brought out order she took our food to another table and started putting things in front of them. This happens not a good look. I had the oyster po-boy I was pleasantly surprised the sandwich was good fries were cold. My daughter got chicken from the kids menu and after dinner said chicken and fries were cold but she didn't want to say anything because of how long we already had to sit around. My son go the kids corn dogs said they were good but cold. Another member of our party got oysters and they were hands down the smallest oysters we have seen ever on the island or apalach. Need to suggest that the kitchen staff turn down the music since they are next to the bathrooms. Disturbed down with the sickness doesn't fit the vibe of the restaurant. That was better than the profanity from the next song my 8 year old got to hear leaving the rest room. The bathrooms were clean and very nice. Summary food was cold and just not very well done, slow service and just a general feeling of indifference. So much potential read more

Service was great but unless they are giving the food away I would go somewhere else!

No wait to be sat, but once we were seated it went downhill from there. We ordered $10 fancy drinks, waited on them half an hour, and when they arrived they tasted like there wasn't any alcohol in them. We waited another 45 minutes for the food for it to taste like it had been sitting on a warmer for 30. Oysters were good, but everything else was a disappointment. read more

We were pleasantly surprised by our meal here. Everyone was at blue parrot and there was a 1 hour wait for 2. We went across the street to this place and had no wait.
