    Oysters Rockefeller. Oops. All gone!
    Jody R.

Went on the recommendation of a stranger!! Great meal and very well priced. I took home oysters and shrimp from the market too. When we left there we went over the bridge to Apalachicola and walked around a little. The restaurants there were charging exactly double what I just paid at Lynn's for oysters. Need I say more??

The market opens about an hour before the restaurant opens. We got here at 10am and only the market was open so while waiting for the restaurant to open at 11am, I got both the smoked fish dip ($10) and gulf shrimp dip ($10) to go. They packed it so well with plenty of ice, and also provided us generous handful of crackers as well. Both are super-flavorful. I love the freshness of the shrimp dip - and I think most will prefer the deep smokiness of the mahi dip - the texture is similar to tuna salad but much more flavorful. When the restaurant opened at 11am, we sat outside with our dog. We ordered a couple of dozens of fresh oysters. They were fresh and slightly sweet, served ice cold with a chilled bottle of cocktail sauce, a touch of horseradish, and a big lemon wedge. They also grab you a couple of packs of water crackers, which is a nice touch. Simple, clean, and delicious. The gumbo was hearty and full of flavor. It was packed with shrimp with a few slightly overcooked and small bay scallops that were perfectly tender. Still really enjoyable and filling. There's a large variety of hot sauces scattered across different tables, so you can customize your meal to your taste. Our server (she may be called a Ginger and has a granddaughter visiting over the 4th) is a bit terse. She's obviously friendly to the table behind us but somehow is very snappy with us. The vibe is laid-back , and high-quality seafood. Definitely worth a visit. Food is a 4, particularly the dips while the service is a 2.

While the seafood gumbo is very good, the price is atrocious! It's $14.95 for a bowl of gumbo, which is outrageous!!!

Really fun and quaint little spot by the ocean. Outdoor seating is great with a beautiful view. The oysters were so good! Decent size, really fresh with reasonable pricing. They give you a giant slice of lemon on the side and the horseradish sauce had a major kick. We were in and out pretty quickly, but you can also sit back and relax. Would definitely come back again next time we visit St. George Island!

Great food, great views while sitting out on the patio, and super friendly service. The oysters were killer! Soo yummy. I got the combo with 6 raw oysters and 6 oysters Rockefeller and they did not disappoint! I wanted to order a second round! My hubs enjoyed the smoked mahi dip and a cup of the gumbo! The server made sure to warn me about the horseradish and even a regular sitting next to us gave us a warning! Haha. It was great but a TINY bit went a long way. Everyone was so friendly and we will definitely be back when we visit again!

Nice little hole in the wall! You walk through the front where they sell fish and seafood and if you sit outside you'll get a beautiful view (we got a rainbow that day)! The shrimp was delicious and it was my first time trying oysters! The mahi mahi dip was my favorite. The waitresses are friendly and attentive.

Such cool history and scenery . We sat on the patio and watched dolphins while we ate amazing food ! Don't miss out on this gem .

****UPDATE**** Still ALLLLLL THE WAY!!! Came back for some of that shrimp and ended up taking some home too! This time I came prepared with my own wet wipes. Coke prepared to get messy and order a pound, MAYBE two of shrimp. Funny, I'm a true fat kid moment, I also got the baked oysters again. They didn't disappoint and once again, could have crushed another dozen when I was finished. It's a dive, so come as you are. This could be the best food in the Eastpoint, St George, Apalacihicola area!

It's been a couple of years but we remembered each other like it was yesterday!!

We were so impressed that we recommended this place to multiple people and were genuinely excited to come back last Sunday. Unfortunately, this visit was a complete disappointment from start to finish. The service was noticeably worse, the beer selection was extremely limited compared to before, and the food was honestly some of the worst seafood we've had in years. We ordered the fried calamari and the mixed grilled seafood plate. The calamari was chewy, flavorless, and the batter had an unpleasant texture. The mixed seafood plate was even worse - the oysters looked, smelled, and tasted awful, and the fish, shrimp, stuffed crab and scallops were completely bland. Even the fried okra, which should be an easy Southern staple, was disappointing. We left wondering if they changed chefs or management because the difference from our first experience was shocking. Even my mom, who is far from a picky eater, could barely eat her food. It's genuinely upsetting because this used to be a place we loved and enthusiastically recommended to others. Sadly, after this experience, we won't be returning.
