Plain naan, chicken biryani, steamed rice, mango drink
Marie B.

The food was amazing, I had the seafood medley as an appetizer. It consisted of fried monkfish, scallop; and tiger prawn coated in rice. The scallop was cooked to literal perfection. The chicken biriyani was very nice and tender. It wasn't spicy to me at all. The naan bread with the chicken and rice was the perfect combo!

Upscale Indian/fusion restaurant w/ quite an extensive menu selection - almost hard to select b/c everything sounded so good. Creative dishes too - not your ordinary Indian entrees. Generous portions, reasonable prices and very nice ambience. Customers were non-Indian which could mean many things -- I love Indian food and it tasted authentic to me :) The only complaint was splitting checks - the owner asked what I got and then just estimated the final price in his head. (Note - this review is for a visit in April 2017.) AMUSE BOUCHE Complimentary apps from the chef -- potato fritters ... which looked like eyeballs b/c of the red sauce in the middle, haha. They were ok. ASSORTED PAPAD - £1.50 x 2 You know how your server asks if you'd like some crackers and you say yes b/c you think they're complimentary? Haha we got 2 orders. The crackers were served w/ 4 different sauces. Good. TIGER PRAWN MARTINI - £9.95 My eyes were drawn to the description - also b/c it was the "Winner of the Best Signature Dish award in the National Curry Week Competition 2010." Warm water prawns marinated in lemon juice, ginger, garlic and anise, coated with rice flakes and deep-fried. Layered w/ a trio of chutneys and topped with a dash of martini (Crustacean/egg/mustard). Nice presentation. Prawns were meaty, 2 servings. Enjoyed this app very much. ASPARAGUS & BABY CORN FRITTERS - £6.50 Asparagus batter fried in gram flour, carom seeds, ginger, green chili. Also came w/ sauce & salad. Just ok. CHETTINAD CHICKEN - £11.95 Again, my eyes were drawn to the fact it won an award, "Winner of the Best Traditional Dish award in the National Curry Week competition." Description drew me in too, "aggressively spiced, but mellowed with yogurt and coconut, a black pepper infused chicken curry in an onion and tomato sauce." It was more like a mild to medium spicy, and I liked the creamy sauce. Very good! MIXED PEPPER CHICKEN - £11.95 My co-worker ordered this dish, described as "a highly popular north Indian chicken dish stir-fried in an Indian cast-iron wok." It actually looked very similar to my Chettinad Chicken except very spicy - also good but I liked my dish better :) LEMON RICE - £4.00 I wish our server told us the portion was enough to share between two people. We had ordered two of these. Tasted good w/ our curry dishes. Overall great Indian spot in Windsor. Next time I'd like to try their desserts too - they all sounded good. FYI 10% service charge included in the bill.

Best curry in Windsor or surrounding areas! The chefs custom fishes have won ample awards, and it is no surprise.

I came in at 6 PM for a table for one and was turned away because they were fully booked for the night. The place was completely empty.

The food was great. Every appetizer that we tried was delicious. We also tried the chicken, lamb, and vegetables and they were all good.

My first time in Enton, I have been to Windsor a few times (Thai Sq.) last week. Beautiful little…read moretown great tradition English Pubs, quite place to walk around. The food was solid good, three of us tried different dishes to share, I very nice sampler appetizers to start. I love a good curry dish and spicy food. The waiter was fantastic with service and offering suggestions and making drinks. Overall I would definitely go back and the pubs before and after the meal was worthwhile. Thank you

Do Harry and Meghan really dine here?…read more Despite claims in the window that this is their favorite Indian spot in town (it may very well be the only Indian spot in town) I had a hard time imagining any members of the royal family here. Or maybe, with its dim interior and quick service it's a place they can dine undercover (well, except for that window sign...). This place has apparently been here for a long while and from the outside, it looks it. But once inside you'll find white tablecloths, an aquarium, and professionally dressed servers. Something feels a little off and funky (it feels like the sort of Indian restaurant I found in London back in the 1970's) but I can't really say it showed in the food. The food was solid and satisfying and the menu quite extensive. If I can give only one piece of advice it's this: there's a fixed price menu item that might cost a little more than you were hoping to spend but it delivers to your table a large array of food that looks quite good. I should know as I watched a nearby table turn a couple times and each time someone new sat there they ordered as I suggest. I didn't but wished I had. I found other places in town (non-Indian) that I liked better but that's not to say Golden Curry didn't hit the spot. It did. If it's maybe good enough for Harry and Meghan it's good enough for me.
