I would not tell anyone to use keystone dental in Shamokin Dam, because of her wanting to use…read moreanthesia she appealed the insurance company all I needed was a local . Which I've been waiting on for months in the meantime my abcess got worse, I needed to go to ER got a shot, a very potent antibiotic, and pain medicine. I was seen at ER on A Tuesday and tooth was removed in 3 days. I had to travel 2 hours from home, more antibiotics, pain meds, and a rinse 3 times a day. The Dr. was amazing numbed me up tooth was out in under 1 minute. I had called keystone for help and they called back when I said I don't have thousands for anthesia they said they would call back and never did.

I had been referred by my dentist to have dental surgery done with Keystone. I showed up early and…read morewasn't called until 30 minutes past my appointment. When I checked in they lost the referral. Then I finally get back into the room only to find out this was a consultation. The surgeon was very pushy about me signing all the paperwork before I had a chance to read everything and ask questions. I had already had some questions, she insisted that I sign first then would be able to ask my questions. After I signed she told me to go home and read through everything and if I had questions to call. I told her I did not want to be sedated, I only wanted local anesthesia. She said if I wouldn't agree to the sedation then she wouldn't do it. So I think the biggest problem was communication. The Dr did call and follow up when I decided to have the procedure done elsewhere. During the call she explained her situation and did tell me that the choice was up to me if I would be sedated or not. So my plan is to get a second opinion and make an informed choice. I think if we reviewed all the paperwork together prior to me leaving then I would feel more comfortable having the procedure done there. If I choose to have Keystone do the procedure I will post a followup review.

Been a patient at DCA Selinsgrove for 22/23 years. They have drastically changed in the past…read moreseveral years, the updated systems are frustrating, the lack of communication, the canceling of appointments without proper notification, then claiming they did properly communicate, it's ridiculous the amount of gaslighting especially past 2 years specifically. In 2024, they somehow got a hold of a newer email address that I NEVER provided them, and started emailing me to that account instead of the one I provided on file- at that time that account was new, & I don't even know how they got that email address because again, it's not the one I provided to them. The last communication other than an auto text on 05/08/26 was in January & this was my fault, I made an appointment when I was there in November for my 6 Month cleaning, & I made an appt for January for work I've needed done since 2022, just to appease them because they kept pushing for it even though they were told multiple times I cannot afford out of pocket what my insurance won't cover for the procedures I need done. I made an appointment to appease them, with the intention of canceling soon after, with the holidays etc. I did forget to cancel the appointment. They ever sent any reminders about the appointment leading up to it like they so typically and actively do, called me a few days afterwards and was told " it looked like you had an appointment a few days ago that you missed."I apologized and said I forgot about it but I was going to cancel anyway and I would reschedule eventually when money allows, but I would see them in May for my cleaning. Odd, because they have no problem sending texts any other time. January was the last I received a call from them. 2 weeks ago I received a letter about one dentist leaving and another one coming in. I have not received anything in regards to any other correspondence on their end.Whomever I've been speaking to on the phone when I do call there it's the same person, they do speak nicely, but they also interrupt you and you're trying to explain things and it's frustrating. Adding this response to the owner of the account, since Google doesn't let you reply directly back to comments: I did call yesterday, which led to me reviewing, as the issue wasn't resolved because that's how I found out about some of the issues -from me calling over a text I received because it didn't match up with the appointment card I was given 6 months ago... There's more to it than this, than I want to share publicly, but some of it has to do with I was told I owed from the insurance company from October of 2022.I was told about this in November of 2025... I started getting the ball rolling then to take care of things in regards to getting the ball rolling to fix the situation, but the fact that I was told about 3 years later- the general gist is whatever you guys did, changing up the system, messing everything up, bringing up old situations. Why wasn't I told about what I owed back in 2022? Why did it take 3 years? Why hold it against me now? The phone systems changed the computer systems changed, all the staff changed. Editing again 05/11/26- I received a phone call from the voicemail I left on Friday from the office stating that I called Friday and left a message. I told them I called back later that day,(5/8) and got an actual person, this other woman I spoke to kept cutting me off... I know you provided a generic response below, and I don't want to sound like a Karen, but if you want to get this resolved, I suggest providing me with a phone number that goes beyond the Selinsgrove location.I want to speak to a higher-up. Some at Selinsgrove are condescending. Reading the other low rated reviews, it appears they refuse to transfer records, unless you travel to the main office in Camp Hill. That will not be happening with me. If I call and request my records be sent to another dentist, if I'm told I have to travel an hour to obtain them myself, I will pursue legal action. Also, it sounds like this company needs investigated heavily for fraud.

VERY CONCERNING experience with Dentist. Steven Plouffe and the check-out staff at Aspen Dental…read more My mom visited this office for the FIRST TIME for a routine dental checkup. During the exam, the dentist said HER TEETH LOOKED GOOD and there were NO CAVITIES OR ISSUES. However, at the end of the visit they recommended a DEEP CLEANING. We initially agreed because we assumed it was similar to a normal cleaning. At checkout we were then presented with a $3,900 ESTIMATE, which was shocking. When we asked if my mom could instead get a REGULAR CLEANING, the CHECK-OUT STAFF HAD A VERY PUSHY ATTITUDE and insisted she MUST DO DEEP CLEANING because she supposedly had PERIODONTITIS. This was confusing because: * The dentist NEVER mentioned periodontitis during the exam * NO periodontal probing measurements were done * The treatment plan document shows NO PSR score or periodontal exam recorded When we asked the dentist to confirm, he briefly returned and said my mom had periodontitis, but NO MEASUREMENTS OR EXPLANATION WERE PROVIDED. We declined the treatment. Patients deserve clear diagnosis, documentation, and transparency before being pushed into a $3,900 procedure.
