Imperious Dr. Linn did not fix a tooth properly and did not believe me. After he looked at the other side of my face, he said "I will have to re-do it." I thought, Great! More time in the chair choking because of careless assistants and degrading vacuum tubes instead of the standard "spit sink." I bet he makes nice $$ when he bills twice for his shoddy work. I was referred out for oral surgery, had a bad experience, and again Dr. Linn did not believe me. How do you act like that?? Rude receptionist harasses you via text messages and calls. ONE dental hygienist there is friendly and provides good care, but that is the only positive experience I've had there. His office hours are not conducive to working professionals.

I had no complaints about the doctor or the staff personally, at first, they were polite and they…read moredid good work, however, they are complete scam artists when it comes to billing. I paid for the cost of having a crown re-cemented upfront, which was $250. They told me they would submit the claim to my insurance and, if the insurance covered the claim, they would reimburse me for what I paid up front. Well, Humana paid the entire bill in full in December 2024. So I went there Jan 2nd and asked them to reimburse me. They said they would "send me a check". Two weeks later, I still had not received the check so I called back to ask where it was. They told me that they were working on it and they would get it to me soon. Their office is simply up the road from me about 10 miles so it shouldn't take two weeks to get me a check. They said "oh they were sorry "but they didn't send the check yet and they would "get on it right away " and they would send it out by the end of the week. Two weeks after that, I called back again because I still hadn't received it, and I was given the same answer. Well, three weeks ADDITIONAL later , I still don't have the check. Total of eight weeks now since I was seen there and after they received payment from me AND and the insurance company ---both in full. So I went back to the office in person on February 11, 2025, to ask them if they could simply credit my credit card that I used to pay the bill when I was there the first time. The same credit card machine is still sitting there on the desk, but for some reason, they don't know how to process a refunder to the original card that I used ?? Never heard of such a thing in my life. I used to do this myself on a daily basis so I know it can be done. The office manager behind the desk said she was unable to do that. Why??? She then said she had to consult with the Doctor Who was in the back working on a patient. When she came back, she said "we don't keep checks in the office "and you'll have to come back tomorrow. We open at 8 AM and we'll be here all day . There was a patient sitting there waiting her turn for an appointment and she witnessed this and thought that it was very unusual as well. I asked the office manager why she couldn't simply process a credit to my credit card and she said she was "simply taking orders from the doctor ". Huh? ???? I've been very sick with an upper respiratory virus for the past three weeks and I'm not supposed to be outside at all. I'm supposed to be in bed resting. This is not a inconvenience to me, it is causing me health issues to have to run out in the cold weather because people refuse to do their damn job.. So, I'm going back again today and they had better give me my money TODAY or they're going to end up in court and having their license revoked for billing fraud. I've already contacted PA Attorney General's office and I have alerted Humana to unethical billing practices by this dentist. I was told by the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office to give them three chances to pay me and then after that, I should file a formal complaint. I have now given them five chances to pay me and they still continue to give me the runaround. This is the last time I'm dealing with this. I'm fully prepared to process my formal complaint if I do not receive payment today. Be warned!! before you go to visit any provider Gather your insurance information together and make sure that they're going to cover the bill BEFORE you pay out-of-pocket! I had authorization for my insurance company, but they insisted on me paying upfront and being reimbursed. This is a practice that needs to be outlawed. FYI: File a complaint with the Attorney General's Health Care Section by: Calling - 1-877-888-4877, mailing in a PDF or submitting an ONLINE Complaint.

I've had such a bad experience from the beginning but still tried to stick it out for 3 appoints…read moreover 3 months hoping it would change, but it has just continued getting worse. My first appointment was for a broken tooth and sensitivity. Due to an "emergency with another patient" my appointment was significantly late and couldn't address everything. On my 2nd appointment, I was given a temporary filling (and several pokes in the eye by someone who should be experienced enough to not be doing that) then told to make an appointment to decide what to do next. When I arrived for that appointment, I was told it was for a cleaning and nothing more. Not to fix the tooth that has been bothering me for months and was "temporarily fixed" in a way that has caused more problems. I would not recommend this dentist to anyone.

I took my 4 1/2 year-old here... mainly because this was the only pediatric dentist office in town…read more A friend who also has a 4 year old warned us about going there and told us that the dentist said their daughter would need general anesthesia for a filling as she would not sit still. Honestly, I had a hard time believing them because maybe there was more to it. WELL, let me say, my daughter LOVES the dentist. She gets so pumped about going. She listens, sits completely still, follows all commands. We went today and she was excellent... I can't emphasize this enough. He told us that he can't see what's under an old filling done elsewhere so he needs to take that off to look... Um, what lol? And she had a cavity between two teeth in the back that was supposedly SUPER BIG AND NEEDED TO BE DONE ASAP and is also recommending a METAL CAP (what is this, 1973?). He says she'll need to be under general anesthesia because she won't be able to tolerate it because she'd and I quote "will have to have her mouth open for 30 mins". I really just wish I had listened to my friend who had a similar experience. We will not be going back. To the parents out there... this felt like scare tactics with unnecessary risks involved. On a plus, the office staff was nice.

They make you feel welcome, comfortable, and cared for. When I came in for my first appointment, I was totally awed by the care and attention. Dr. Winans is the most thorough and thoughtful dentist I've ever had, sharing tips and new ideas as he continues his own education to become an even more effective practitioner. During my initial exam, he even checked for evidence of throat cancer (something no dentist I've ever had has cared to do!). He is honest and straightforward, and truly cares about ensuring a holistically healthy mouth. And to top if all off: a few days after my first visit, I received a thank you letter in the mail, signed by Dr. Winans with a personal note inside. He remembered that I was applying for a new job, and wished me all the best. If only ALL health care were as thoughtful, thorough, and caring as Dr. Winans' practice!!! Recent visits have been just as helpful and health-inspiring. Because of Dr. Winans and his skilled staff, I have a healthier mouth (and life) than I've had in years. Some may find the practice a little more expensive than others in the area. But I, for one, don't mind investing in the health of my body. And, trust me, Dr. Winans is worth every penny! Now, I look forward to going to the dentist. I appreciate having a professional I feel is on my side, caring for me, and helping me to develop the habits that will ensure a healthy lifestyle moving forward. This is the way dentistry should be!
