I had been referred by my dentist to have dental surgery done with Keystone. I showed up early and…read morewasn't called until 30 minutes past my appointment. When I checked in they lost the referral. Then I finally get back into the room only to find out this was a consultation. The surgeon was very pushy about me signing all the paperwork before I had a chance to read everything and ask questions. I had already had some questions, she insisted that I sign first then would be able to ask my questions. After I signed she told me to go home and read through everything and if I had questions to call. I told her I did not want to be sedated, I only wanted local anesthesia. She said if I wouldn't agree to the sedation then she wouldn't do it. So I think the biggest problem was communication. The Dr did call and follow up when I decided to have the procedure done elsewhere. During the call she explained her situation and did tell me that the choice was up to me if I would be sedated or not. So my plan is to get a second opinion and make an informed choice. I think if we reviewed all the paperwork together prior to me leaving then I would feel more comfortable having the procedure done there. If I choose to have Keystone do the procedure I will post a followup review.

Horrible!! Don't go here!! They'll scam you big time. My teenage daughter needed a tooth pulled. We…read morepaid cash out of pocket before services. They said they will charge us so much for anesthesia. And being that mu daughter was "a big girl" she would require more!!!!! Well they never told me this..... but my daughter was stuck 6 times and was unable to start an IV! So according to my daughter they gave her a shot in her upper arm and then numbed her mouth around the back tooth. My daughter never went to sleep! They never told me this! No updates throughout procedure. They would not allow me to be back with her before or after the surgery. When she was finished a dental assistant came out and said she's done now- drive to the bavk of building we discharge from there. I drove back to pick her up- no one was there!! I wallked inside the bavk door which by the way was unlocked!!!My daughter was only 13!! This just added to my distress. Then some rude attendant told me to go wait in my vehicle!! I waa ready to push him over and ask for my daughter. About 20 minutes later she came out and told me everything that happened! We paid close to $2,000 dollars for this!!! Please don't go there! I refuse to ever set foot into that office. By the way the receptionist acts like you aren't there when you first walk-in - that was my first give away that they are shady ppl. The dentist is foreign too- so run!!!

VERY CONCERNING experience with Dentist. Steven Plouffe and the check-out staff at Aspen Dental…read more My mom visited this office for the FIRST TIME for a routine dental checkup. During the exam, the dentist said HER TEETH LOOKED GOOD and there were NO CAVITIES OR ISSUES. However, at the end of the visit they recommended a DEEP CLEANING. We initially agreed because we assumed it was similar to a normal cleaning. At checkout we were then presented with a $3,900 ESTIMATE, which was shocking. When we asked if my mom could instead get a REGULAR CLEANING, the CHECK-OUT STAFF HAD A VERY PUSHY ATTITUDE and insisted she MUST DO DEEP CLEANING because she supposedly had PERIODONTITIS. This was confusing because: * The dentist NEVER mentioned periodontitis during the exam * NO periodontal probing measurements were done * The treatment plan document shows NO PSR score or periodontal exam recorded When we asked the dentist to confirm, he briefly returned and said my mom had periodontitis, but NO MEASUREMENTS OR EXPLANATION WERE PROVIDED. We declined the treatment. Patients deserve clear diagnosis, documentation, and transparency before being pushed into a $3,900 procedure.

I expected that they'd do X-rays, we'd meet and talk to a dentist, get her teeth cleaned, and we'd be on our way. However, I was told she had a little bit of gingivitis and that we'd need to schedule another appointment with a hygienist to have her teeth cleaned. $170 later (they made us pay this before the next appointment even happened), we left with that appointment scheduled. As it turned out, the day of her next appointment, she was ill with a sore throat and runny nose, so I called to cancel and reschedule the appointment which ended up being about a month later. The appointment was scheduled for 1 pm on a Friday. I got a text the day before and the appointment time changed to 12:15 pm. I had no other notification of this. I also got a voicemail while I was at work stating the appointment needed to be verified, so I called them and pressed option 2 as it instructed me to do in the voicemail. It directed me to "Amelia," the automated virtual assistant, who tied the account to my phone number and my child's birthday...she even stated her name and asked if it was correct and said the appointment was CONFIRMED. Fast forward to the next day, we arrive by 12 pm only to find out that the appointment was cancelled because...wait for it...it was not verified. The receptionist told me the appointment would have to be rescheduled. No thanks! I asked for a refund and left. Moral of the story: Do NOT go to Aspen Dental! They will commit highway robbery before a service is even performed and you'll be lucky if their bullshit system will even let you keep your appointment.
