After seeing a lot of different face painting work I realized how much more beautiful and unique Liz's work was. She does not go for your plain and typical designs like the DIY amazon kits. She does not even reuse the tattoo stencils for the glitter tattoos, they dispose after each use. BTW, you're welcome fellow germaphobes. :D I decided to hire Twinkle Face Painting for my son's 2nd birthday after seeing her rave reviews and compliments from word of mouth. My son's birthday party was super hero themed. The boys all wanted to be iron man! It was so much fun to see their faces light up with joy! I wish I had hired her sooner for other birthdays. Liz is very professional. She does have a schedule to keep like the rest of us so I booked a month and a half in advance and she checked up with me several times to get the location, details and make sure everything was going to be a success! Alas the party date arrived and the work that was done was nothing short of magic!!! They arrived early and set up with their own table and chairs at our party. Liz is so friendly and works fast and very well with children and adults alike. I found this business to be exceptional in every way! Everybody loved Twinkle Face Painting! They were the highlight of my child's birthday party, but the adults loved the glitter tattoos and face painting as well! I recommend Twinkle Face Painting for anybody wanting to make any event a success! Even adult themed parties, cosplay, heroes, you name it and I know Liz is most capable. Now I want to hire them for my own (adult) birthday party too! :D

When booking online I always get a response within the day either confirming or letting me know they are already booked. I really appreciate that! We just hosted a birthday party for my 4 year old granddaughter and 60 guests and were happy to have balloon artist Gideon return! Gideon is always on time, comes 20-30 min ahead of time to set up, brings his own extension cord for outlet, and is prepared with all tools, supplies and signage. He has a nice picture board showing all the designs both classic and new that may appeal to your guests, young and old alike! This year the popular item was a balloon purse holding a puppy! But he also did some beautiful large Unicorns, cute backpacks, swords, and I saw many other colorful creations! We reserved him for two hours and he sculpted about 50-60 art within that time frame. The prices are so reasonable and you really get the best bang for your buck because he is always the WOW of the party! Gideon is VERY professional, dresses nice, easy set up and is patient with the children. Their entire family is involved in this business so no matter which artist comes to your party, you will be thrilled and so will your guests! Mahalo to Gideon, Jimmie and Amber for many years of having our corporate guests, public event attendees and now our personal parties be amazing! NOW, THIS IS TALENT!…read more WOW!! After seeing the creativity and talent from Adventure Balloons, you can't help but feel a little jipped by other entertainers... those clowns. Hahaha, jk! Seriously tho, I'm not trying to be mean, but MAN! Those other companies don't even compare. My brother and I were in absolute awe at my nephew's 1st birthday party this past Saturday. Adventure Balloons definitely made the party! I'd say the only thing that rivaled them was the spectacular view... because OMG, I was melting! Oahu Country Club is GORGEOUS!!!! Once everyone saw the first intricate balloon design, the kids AND adults were lining up to get their hands on one! I even saw one of the moms walking past my table with a full on ladybug outfit. Like... this ain't no ordinary clown show, y'all! I swear, if I could've thought of a character or design I loved on the spot, I would've asked them to make one for ME! Unfortunately, I didn't get the best pictures of my nephew's balloons because these dudes cannot stay still. They're 3 & 5 - you go ahead and try telling them to stay still! Lol -- the person making the balloons was so friendly, playful, and patient btw. We were chatting with him while he was hard at work. Stellar job, Jimmie! (I think that was you haha) The Luigi w/mushroom and Pikachu were SO cute! The creativity, detail, and precision that went into these designs were seriously impressive. Highly recommend Adventure Balloons for your next family party! Trust me - the kids will LOVE them, and honestly, the adults will be just as entertained watching what they create! 10/10 creativity & definitely a highlight of the party!

I was worried they wouldn't have availability since it was so last minute, but we were able to book with him! His replies were always very fast (within 20 minutes) and he made the booking process so quick and easy. Their prices are very reasonable as well! On the day of the party, they arrived early to set up. We booked them for balloon twisting and airbrush tattoos and all our guests, both children and adults, loved them! Their work was very beautiful and all the kids kept lining back up for more. It was adorable seeing all the tattoos and balloons everywhere! They were so great with the kids and all our guests had so much fun. Dave made my son a Winnie the Pooh balloon and he absolutely loved it. The sweet woman working with Dave (unfortunately I forget her name, my brain was all over the place at the time) made my son a little turtle balloon bracelet and he was obsessed with it! She also asked for my favorite color, and then made me a rose balloon in that color! She actually walked all the way across the room to hand them to us both times. They were both very sweet people! All in all, I'm so happy with this whole experience from beginning to end! Thank you Party Time Hawaii, I highly recommend!

Besides that, note that the company's website states that they "charge a travel fee of $25 for venues OUTSIDE of metro Honolulu." My event was in Downtown Honolulu and the owner said that I still needed to pay the $25 travel fee (just checked and the website hasn't changed). The owner also said a few days before the event to expect 3 staff; however, only 2 staff came to the party. I paid $393 for 2 hours of glitter tattoos and balloon art. The pictures on Yelp and their company website look great. However, the skill and experience of the 2 staff who came to my event were trainee/beginner level. A guest commented that the glitter tattoos took a while to apply, which may be harder for younger kids to sit through. The website photos also show several colors on many glitter tattoos, but the glitter tattoos made at my party were only one and sometimes two colors. The balloon art honestly looked like they were made by someone who just began doing it a few months ago. I think a more experienced staff person (the 3rd staff that was promised) should have came to event to give them tips and to provide more variety for party guests. Of course, guests didn't make any comments during the party, but when I asked a few closer friends after the party if they'd use this company at future events, they said no. They were actually surprised that I paid that much for what I got. If you don't mind paying around $400 for 2 hours of very simple temporary glitter tattoos and balloons, for an age 5 and under crowd (older kids wouldn't be impressed), then this company might be for you. I've included a few photos for you to decide.

There are 2 physical locations - Pearlridge and Windward Mall. My child's birthday was coming up, so I booked BOTH locations for a "Stay and Play" session. You can either call or book online for a session. A "Stay and Play" session starts off with choosing a costume. There are many options to choose from - unicorn, princess, mermaid, cheerleader, etc. After changing, your child is whisked off for a makeover which includes nail painting and face painting. How fun! Kids can have a little tea party with the Storybook staff (who are also dressed up), dance to the music, and/or have a photoshoot with the props. Although both locations have different props, they are both magical in their own right. I mean, check out my pictures. The colors, the lighting ... everything just adds to the ambiance and makes a very unique and unforgettable experience for the little ones. You won't regret bringing your kid(s) here.
