No airbrushing involved! Each tattoo starts with a new stencil which sticks to the skin with adhesive. Glue is then applied and the glitter is painted on. After the stencil is peeled off (and discarded), the rhinestones are applied and set. We went to a party with Aloha Glitter Tattoos and the kids absolutely loved their tattoos! Some of them got one on each arm AND each leg!! The boys got dragons and UH warriors tattoos and the girls got all kinds of cute flowers and cupcakes with rhinestones! The tattoos are supposed to last 7 days but I'm sure my daughter will try to make it last 2 weeks. She loves tattoos. She loves glitter tattoos. Besides that, note that the company's website states that they "charge a travel fee of $25 for venues OUTSIDE of metro Honolulu." My event was in Downtown Honolulu and the owner said that I still needed to pay the $25 travel fee (just checked and the website hasn't changed). The owner also said a few days before the event to expect 3 staff; however, only 2 staff came to the party. I paid $393 for 2 hours of glitter tattoos and balloon art. The pictures on Yelp and their company website look great. However, the skill and experience of the 2 staff who came to my event were trainee/beginner level. A guest commented that the glitter tattoos took a while to apply, which may be harder for younger kids to sit through. The website photos also show several colors on many glitter tattoos, but the glitter tattoos made at my party were only one and sometimes two colors. The balloon art honestly looked like they were made by someone who just began doing it a few months ago. I think a more experienced staff person (the 3rd staff that was promised) should have came to event to give them tips and to provide more variety for party guests. Of course, guests didn't make any comments during the party, but when I asked a few closer friends after the party if they'd use this company at future events, they said no. They were actually surprised that I paid that much for what I got. If you don't mind paying around $400 for 2 hours of very simple temporary glitter tattoos and balloons, for an age 5 and under crowd (older kids wouldn't be impressed), then this company might be for you. Her equipment is also professional grade, FDA compliant cosmetic grade paints and she properly sterilizes everything! His replies were always very fast (within 20 minutes) and he made the booking process so quick and easy. Their prices are very reasonable as well! On the day of the party, they arrived early to set up. We booked them for balloon twisting and airbrush tattoos and all our guests, both children and adults, loved them! Their work was very beautiful and all the kids kept lining back up for more. It was adorable seeing all the tattoos and balloons everywhere! We hired Color Whims for our son's first birthday. We booked a package that included a live band,…read morelight MCing, face painting and balloons. We were in corespondence with Kelly who was helpful in getting us the package we needed. We also got a 10 percent discount from Yelp! Kelly was our point person and helped coordinate our timeline. She also was the laision with the band. Before the party, I sent her the script and timeline. On the day of the party, the band showed up to set up at 10a for our 11a party. They said they thought they started at 1030a. I said they started at 11:30 a.m. Kelly (Balloon artist) and face painter came onsite at just about 11a. One major disappointment I had was that the MC refused to facilitate our script. We thought it was farily light and simple, including directions to the bathroom, where the rubbish is, then calling up various people to help facilitate the program and games. Luckily, my sister in law stepped in and did the MCing. The quality of the balloons was excellent, as well as the face painting. The live band was REALLY good, loud, and brought excellent energy to the party. Everyone complimented us on the entertainment. Eddie, the band leader, brought us a screen and projector for our slideshow. It went off without a hitch. The band continued to play until after most of our guests left. Unfortunately when they took their break, most of our guests started leaving. In hindsight, I would have everyone sang happy birthday a little later so people stuck around to hear their second set. Also, I asked the face painter if we could make announcement that they would be closing in 15 minutes and she said no because people will line up for their face painting/balloon. I thought that was the point. But, oh well. Maybe people luckily got their face painted and balloon early. Overall, it was a little disorganized, but it came together and was a nice party.

She just so happened to be next to the vendor and heard her tell him to "go get your mommy". Instead of showing him the balloon folder of what she could make, she just refused to make him a balloon. My friend went over to help him pick one from the folder of pictures . **I don't understand why she couldn't just show him the balloon folder to begin with... maybe she just didn't want to deal with him. AGAIN, there was no line. ** 3. My daughter has a whole lot to say about the balloon lady. She kept saying how rude she was... In all honesty, I wasn't going to write a review about the rude balloon twister, but my daughter randomly brought it up again after 1 month. She said "remember that balloon twister lady... she said multiple times that she needs to save her balloons because she has other parties to go to"... **again, THERE WAS NEVER A LINE.
