I'm definitely a little more awkward feeling and shy than I used to be, but Mahina made me feel so much more comfortable and confident ! A friend of mine asked me (an amateur) to be a model (gasp lol) for some products she was releasing, bags, tees, etc. so I of course was nervous but so happy to help. We shot at two locations on two separate days, the first being a more private secluded area and the second a much more public walk through town. My friend didn't really know what she wanted to do just that she needed these pieces shot so she could do this next launch but Mahina really stepped up, took control, and helped make the shoot as efficient and comfortable as possible. She was kind, creative, funny, and so sweet ! Mahina totally hyped us up and made us feel good about it throughout the shoot. She has such a fun and lively energy that makes her easy to work with. Overall, these photos were beautiful and really showcased my friend and her business in such a beautiful light (literally and figuratively of course). I've seen some of her work for other artists, weddings, couples, businesses, families, etc. and would 1000% recommend you check her out and book her for your photography needs. She shoots from Hawaii to New York and she does an amazing job !!

She has such a comfortable nature about her, and she makes you feel so relaxed and natural. On top of all of that, SHE'S SO FREAKING TALENTED!! (Seriously, check out her instagram) Thank you Mahina, for everything you did for us on our wedding day and after. We will cherish our photos forever and can't wait to come back to Oahu to visit. ONE LINE: Meagan is the BEST! Highly recommended for all sorts of events!…read more AWESOME: I originally met Meagan when she was one of the shooters from our wedding and since then, she's done both our maternity and newborn shoots. We absolutely love working with her--she's so sweet and she gives really clear direction/instructions. My husband and I agree that we always feel super comfortable whenever we're getting our picture taken by her. There's great communication throughout the whole process and the end product never fails to blow me away! I wish our house had more wall space because want to frame and hang it all! NEWBORN: More about our newborn shoot--it was awesome! Meagan came with some greenery that she previously contacted me about for preference. I loved that she gives you the option of shooting at her studio or at your home (we picked shooting in our home so that we could do some shots with the family dog). She budgets a healthy amount of time to factor in soothing and feeding--I didn't feel rushed at all. She's so patient and you get such a good vibe working with her, which is great for kids and newborns but also really relaxing for stressed-out soon-to-be-moms like I was (and I bet it would go really well with busy busy brides with a bazillion things on their minds). P.S.: Like all in-demand professionals, contact her ahead of time to get on her calendar--Once we made contact, it was a breeze to schedule!

When the time got closer to the photo shoot at the lagoon, she sent me instructions on how to get there and a friendly reminder about being prepared with water and sunscreen. It gets really hot out there. My suggestion for anyone with little kids staying at Aulani, do what I did. I took a taxi there so my son wouldn't be fussy and my makeup would still be on my face. We walked back to Aulani because it is a really short walk but by then it's ok if your makeup has melted by then. The photo session with Jennifer was great. She is very patient and understanding regarding how I am self conscious about weight. She is great with kids too. The pictures of me and my 6 year son were amazing. I was actually comfortable looking at the pictures of myself (I usually want to barf). I had a hard time picking my favorites because they ALL were beautiful. As a professional wedding photographer myself and having worked with Alice previously, I knew she was the perfect person to capture the look we wanted and give us natural direction during the shoot. Alice was so wonderful to work with and was super flexible during all of the planning, including a last minute idea to capture nighttime photos strolling the charming streets of Carmel with PIZZA! She went above and beyond during the shoot, listening to and understanding our vision while providing her own professional and artistic guidance. The images we received back from Alice were incredibly gorgeous and somehow exceeded our already huge expectations! I have always loved Alice's aesthetic (natural, light, dreamy, and romantic!) and our photos were all of the above. Alice made us look and feel like models, which we are definitely not. We are so grateful to Alice for her professionalism, talent, and artistic abilities - she truly made our California Coast vibe dreams and visions a reality. From the moment we contacted her, she was ALWAYS fast to respond to our inquiries and questions. This was extremely important to us because our wedding was going to be a destination wedding, and we needed our vendors to be available via email as much as possible. Throughout the entire planning process, Alice was extremely helpful and supportive. She knew very well about the wedding industry in Hawaii, so don't be afraid to ask for her recommendations. She worked so well with all of our vendors, and made sure there was no added stress in our wedding planning process. Alice was WONDERFUL on the day of our wedding. She arrived a bit early, made sure to check out the venue, and got to capturing the day immediately. Alice made sure my husband and I, our wedding party, and all our guests felt comfortable while taking pictures. We loved having her around, and appreciated her love and friendship. We would recommend her to any couple who would like to have their wedding photos to look dreamy, soft, and with lots of love. We hope to have pictures taken by her in the future again!
