Staff are extremely uneducated--either high school kids who have no answers to basic questions or adults who are rude and don't understand much outside of "the kids run around over there..it costs this much" and actually, I had a very difficult time getting even that simple of an answer. My son goes to summer camp and after school care at MSC. My son loves it. They offer healthy snacks and keep them active so I am happy too.

I attended a birthday party for my 5 year old niece here yesterday and had an ok time. It's a gym - like for gymnasts - so it's fully functional with all apparatus. It would've been nice to have personnel there to help the kids try some of the equipment, as they were eyeing up the taller beams and the bars, but I guess that wasn't part of the party. There were two floor trampolines and only one child was allowed on each. Not cool when that's where all of the kids want to be. No one directed the kids to other activities or helped. Parents just stood on the fray with one employee standing there as well. The only thing I heard the employee say was that only one child was allowed on the trampolines. I felt like this could've posed a safety issue. Luckily this was a very small party. There was a bounce house that was barely used, a couple of floor beams and a single bar. Some of the kids wanted icees and the birthday girl's mom assumes they were included in the party. Not. After several kids decided they wanted icees she had to add the cost to her party. There should have been more explanation up front I guess. It seemed that they were lacking organization and personnel to supervise and help the kids. No one seemed to do anything much. My sister in law had to cut the cake and pass it out. The staff put the pizzas on the table and walked away. Kids got their own pizza and I guess shared their germs since we all know at 5 they can't just touch one piece of pizza when trying to decide on the "best" piece. Pluses - the gym, party area and restrooms were clean, the employee working the icee counter was sweet. Also judging by the equipment, the gym itself looks like a legit spot to take gymnastics classes. read more

Mandeville Sports Complex has never given me any issues! But recently I've been getting back into the habit of going to the gym. Friday-Sunday they close at 7pm! I understand closing early on Sundays but Friday and Saturday! During the week I work so it's hard for me to find time in my schedule to go the gym. So I try to go Friday and Saturdays. On Fridays by the time I get off work and get the kids home it's already 6! This leaves no time for me to get in my weekly workout! On Saturdays the kids have soccer etc. So I usually don't get free time around 5:00! Just wish they extended their hours on the weekend to accommodate to others! read more

This is a review of the birthday parties held at the Mandeville Sports Complex. I have been to several parties here and while most things are great, there are a few areas for improvement. The good. Parties are exactly 1.5 hours. Kids have an hour of play time and 30 minutes of pizza and cake. If you have ever been to a kids party with no time limit, it can get exhausting. The play area has a huge area called the diamond mine. The diamond mind has a huge pit of foam for kids to jump in, and a giant climbing area with slide. There are several trampolines and a large bounce house. The floor is typical gymnastics flooring so it is soft and will help prevent injuries when kids fall. The staff is great. Several staff members are assigned to each party and take care of getting the presents bagged and the food, cake and drinks served. Needs improvement. There are some areas that concerned me. There are two trampolines recessed in the floor. The carpet around the edges is fraying which could allow a kids leg to get trapped. There are two bars for kids to hang and do whatever kids do on bars. The edge of these bars is metal and is not protected by padding. It would seem like a simple solution to add some padding to prevent a serious injury. All in all the place is great for a party. The kids and parents love it. With a few safety improvements it would be a five star party place. read more

I signed up for a year-long membership, pre-pandemic, after gyms were allowed to open back up, I went on a Saturday morning and it was very empty. Most gyms require masks but when you get to the machine you are using you are allowed to remove them. I was on the treadmill, jogging and had my mask off of my nose, when an employee walks by and asks me to put my mask back on when she herself wasn't wearing a mask. And then to add salt to the wound they post a picture of one of their adult fitness classes and no one was wearing a mask. If you are going to have rules and enforce it, it should be across the board that they are applied and you shouldn't pick and choose who you want to enforce the rules on. I definitely would not recommend this gym. read more

Don't put your kids at this summer camp. 4 days a week, they just drop your kids into a big room and let them lose to entertain themselves with no toys or activities besides mats and balance beams and a floor trampoline although they do let them swim daily. Most of the kids already know each other because they go to aftercare here when they get out of school so if your kid/kids are new here, they will likely be left out and be playing by themselves with nothing to do but play with the floor. It's ran by teenagers as well. So many people I know said their kids also cried and didn't like this place because of the same reasons. I can't imagine expecting my kid to do these 2 activities every day of the summer!! I wouldn't put your kid here unless you have no other options. Good luck if your child doesn't like it. We paid for 2 weeks in advance and they refuse to return any of my e mails, the 6 phone calls I made and wouldn't even speak to me when I then stopped by to ask if it was possible to get a refund for the second week since we didn't attend. I have never been treated like this at any other business and I've been around for a long time. Completely unprofessional. read more

We had a birthday party for my niece here. The kids had fun on the floor, but everything else from that point on was horrible. They served cheap shitty no name pizza, and a cake that was obviously frozen and then defrosted for the party. The staff would not allow us to open presents, and promptly put them in a black garbage bag. The package that we paid for, included "party favors". Their definition of party favors is a plastic cup with a coupon for $10 off another birthday party. Then to top it all off, they started tearing down our party 10 minutes before our time was up. I paid good money for a hour and a 1/2 party, I was shorted time, and the staff could not care less when we went to bring the complaints to their attention. I will never be back, and I will do everything in my power to make sure people know how you treated our birthday girl And her family. read more

They advertised that a Summer membership would include swimming, the diamond mind, etc. However, they did not mention that they would have birthdays and campers so that members would only be able to use just a small area of the pool. Everything else now stays closed for campers and parties even though you paid to use Everything. Not impressed. Sadly, their staff could care less and snickered when I said "How can you charge for services that you don't allow guests to use?" Very rude, and very poor customer service. Choose Franco's instead. This is my favorite health club on the northshore! Everyone is so nice and easy going here. They have everything you need to get a good workout & at a reasonable price too! We LOVE the kids fun night! My son literally runs around the whole time, jumps on the different inflatables and trampolines and has a blast. He's totally in his element there! My 6 year son old also swims with NuWave Swim Team which is their year-round swim program. He loves going to the practices and now wants all his friends to join the team! He is still working on his technique, but his two best strokes are backstroke and freestyle. read more

We don't attend this place often but I've sent my kids to the Kids Fun Night 3 times and all 3 times they come home saying no one is watching them, kids were being mean and acting crazy. My 5 year old son went and was bullied by 3 older boys about 7/8 years old. My daughter told someone who worked there and they did nothing. (They came home with a friend so I wasn't there to pick them up and hear the story at the time) I won't be sending them back. The people that are supposed to be watching your children are playing and not paying attention. read more

My daughter takes cheer tumble at MSC and loves it. The coaches are great and seem to really be focused on their students improvements! We decided to become members this year to enjoy the gym and other things they have to offer. Having access to the pool the summer was perfect. They don't even deserve 1 star. I booked my daughter's birthday party here. It had been over 2 weeks and I noticed my check still wasn't deposited, so I called to confirm they received the paperwork and deposit and they said they did but asked me if I knew who I spoke with because they never "penciled" me in on the date I requested. She apologized that someone on her end messed up and my deposit was dated 2 days before she received the other one, and she would call the other party that was booked and tell them they would have to reschedule. 20 min later I get a phone call saying "I'm sorry, we didn't get your check in enough time. So we have to give it to the other person" WHAT?! You already said your employees made a mistake then you call me back and try to tell me that a check I mailed from Mandeville to Mandeville took over 5 days trying to place blame on me!!!?? So I said I don't want to rebook she offered to send me my deposit back and I said send it back immediately. But I mean what were you going to do!? I called YOU to confirm... was I just going to show up the day of the party with my daughter and her friends and you "made a mistake" (but then tried to place blame on me as a parent)!? Well guess what... 6 days later and I still haven't received my deposit back but I checked my bank account today and they deposited my money into their account TODAY! 7 days later. UNREAL! I can't believe a local business treats people this way. As angry as I was I didn't want to take it to social media or post reviews but I want to warn other parents so this does NOT happen to them! My kids went here for summer camp. Ages six and ten. They let my son sit alone and not participate. He is ten. (We are new to the area)He said the kids fight and nothing is done about it. Bullies are allowed to dominate and as a mom I am upset. I told staff and they said no one is allowed to be bullied and all kids participate. Uhhh.ok. I paid an extra 140$ for swim lessons for my six year old and she was forgotten both days, even after I talked to staff. Very disappointing. read more

Awful! Nasty, dirty weight room. Broken equipment. Half of the treadmills don't work, the nautilus equipment isn't maintained so it doesn't operate smoothly and possibly could cause injury. Matts on the floor are improperly laid out, causing major trip hazards. Do yourselves a favor and go to any gym other than this one! There's a reason it has such a bad reputation. read more

Bully's at Friday Night Kids Night. My son has been attending Friday Night kids night for over a year at MSC. For the past 2 months he has come home complaining about Bully kids hitting him and taking his food. We have complained to mgt. with no follow thru. They are very undersatffed for how many kids attend. We will be spending our money elsewhere.
