The best selection of flavors and sizes of sno-cones in Ruston! The extra large will keep you cool for a while!

The girl working the day we went was very nice and patient with us when we had asked her what ingredients were in the syrups. thankfully the flavor syrups we had did not have corn syrup in them. If you take the duck call room tour, the back of your ticket will get you $2.00 off of Si's cup size (regularly priced at $6). A small cup is $2 and a medium cup is $3. The portions here are large and the syrups are sweet. We had the zombie and the blue raspberry. The zombie was good but much sweeter than the blue raspberry because it was a combination of three syrups (blueberry, peach and tropical punch). They also sell t-shirts here for $25. The designs are cute and the sayings are funny. One of the t-shirts says "More american than Roosevelt riding an eagle". There are a few picnic tables out in front to sit and enjoy your snow ball. i noticed that they didnt have any trash cans outside on the patio area. They probably didnt want to attract bees to the area (which is smart) so be prepared to take your snow ball to go!

According to C.C., the creator of the concoction Cricket recommended on our first visit, it has now been named The Kit. Forgot to ask why but it was just as delicious as I remembered. The Strawberry Fresh my high school daughter ordered (incidentally noted as one of John Luke's favorites on the menu) was great and tasted surprisingly like fresh strawberries. We'll be back!

Counter girl said it would be just a few minutes for our order - a cone and cup. Several people behind us came and went with their orders but we were never called. After at least 15 minutes I went to the window and asked how three groups of people after us were served before us. Frustrated, I asked for my money back. No explanation or care at all, she just said "sorry" and gave me back my money. When you pay $10 for two treats, one would expect better service than this. I hate this happened because I really like their custard. Wish I could speak to the owner as I have more to say privately that's not appropriate to say here.

We've never been anything less than fully satisfied and inspired. But, what spurred me to write this review was the "double doozie" I received and consumed yesterday. I feel like I have the adequate experience on this subject to say that the specimen I received last night unseated all previous samplings from other establishments. The moment it touched my lips, I worried that the cookie was too hard but to my delight the crunch was only a thin layer that quickly gave way to delicious goodness that was generously loaded with the finest chocolate hunks. But all this gloriousness soon became a footnote to the silky smooth icing sandwiched between the two chocolate chip cookies. The icing is unrivaled among the many attempts at a double doozie. Free of the granular sugary texture that only causes guilt and never enhances the experience, this collaboration of cookie and icing is not to be shared. They are large enough for two but so tasty you better forget about any ideas of sharing. There is only heart ache and confrontation to be had down that road. A certain chain cookie company who coined the term and will here remain unnamed in this review was only hinting at what could be when they began to offer their "double doozie." All these years I just did not realize what was possible. Satisfied all these years with the mere elementary offering of so many bakeries. I almost regret having experienced the refined simplicity of the Uptown Downtown "Double Doozie." From this point forward, this guilty pleasure can only be fulfilled here. My heart belongs to you Uptown Downtown. Until we meet again.
