Greg, Charlie, Brandi, and the rest of the crew are amazing, and I highly recommend them.

They jumped on the phone and made arrangements for me with a place they were pretty sure could help me. I drove up there the same day and had all my issues sorted. My point is this: Wouldn't it be great if every business's first goal was a happy customer? My situation was VERY tricky and not-at-all common. I'm sure they can help you with everything you need, but knowing that they'll do what they can, even when they're not going to make a dime doing it??? This is what customer service looks like. This is what business should look like. Guys! I appreciate you. Thank you so much for all your help.

I had my motor replaced about five years ago. It was bad from the start. I had to take my truck…read moreback multiple times for an oil leak from the oil pan. Finally on the fourth attempt they got it to stop. About two years after the new motor, my truck was misfiring, so I took it to a local shop and replaced the coils, plugs and wires. The shop told me it was a mismatch of plugs and used wires. I paid extra for all new parts. Now, just the other day my timing chain jumped. I took it to my local shop and once they got into it they found a wire harness that was broke and "RTV" back together. They also said the chains looked newer, but the rest looked old and didn't even match. Spend the extra money and go with a company that takes pride in their work. My "new" motor only had 40,000 miles on it when the timing chain jumped. I always change the oil on time and never dog on my vehicles. I guess you live and learn. I wouldn't let them touch a go kart.

Being a car guy myself, it was important to understand the work being done. Rod at Universal did a fantastic job in all aspects of the repairs. I was given fair and accurate estimates, realistic timelines of when the work might be completed, and the communication was excellent. Out of curiosity, I called a couple other local repair shops after my work was completed to compare pricing, and they were all in the same ballpark. Worth noting is that Universal did not replace parts on my vehicle that did not need replacing, resulting in a final bill that was a little less than the original estimate. To me, that is definitely fair and honest. This repair shop is honest and reliable, with comparable prices. I will not hesitate to bring my vehicles back for future service and also refer friends and family to this business.

The owner is very nice and genuinely seems committed to offering fair, honest service, which is not something I take lightly when it comes to car repairs. I've brought my car here for a few different fixes, including a warranty repair that was finished surprisingly quickly. The longest they've had my car for any repair was about 24 hours, which is impressive. Pricing has also been very fair. The dealership quoted me around $1,900 for brakes and rotors, and J & R came in under $1,000. Reliable, honest, fast, and fairly priced. That is basically the auto repair dream team.
