On a whim, I submitted my invoice to my insurance company and low and behold, I found out the calcium scan was in fact covered by insurance and I was reimbursed $15.20 for a scan that they would have paid RAVE $30.40 for. This is clearly a fraudulent practice, in my humble opinion and a way for RAVE to generate significantly more revenue by bypassing insurance companies. It appears to me from reading other reviews, that this is a standard practice at RAVE. Shame on me for not checking first and by making the assumption that RAVE is reputable Radiology center.

The person providing the MRI said he was at the end of his 7 hour shift. He was not dressed neatly in "uniform" of any kind, and smelled of BO. I first thought he was a maintenance person. He did not provide assistance in terms of how to negotiate the MRI bed, what to hold on to, etc. Very casual and not engaged in the process. Very unusual from positive experienced I have had with SMH downtown.
