I mentioned this to the front desk staff and was told they do not require that for early morning appointments. This should be explained at the pretest instruction! After my appointment was completed I received an automated call that my appointment was cancelled and when an agent got on the call, he was not able to assist me or explain what was going on. Transferred me to the site and no one ever answered the call. I will NEVER return to this location. ONLY good part was the CT TECH, She was AMAZING!

They cancel appointments because staff doesn't show up for work but they wait until you arrive to tell you. Apparently no one knows how to make a phone call. A text or email isn't good enough. Radiology Associates of Venice and Englewood (RAVE) told me the calcium scan my physician ordered…read morewas not covered by insurance (Aetna Medicare Advantage PPO) Upon arrival, they had me sign a self-pay form and billed me $169 for the scan. On a whim, I submitted my invoice to my insurance company and low and behold, I found out the calcium scan was in fact covered by insurance and I was reimbursed $15.20 for a scan that they would have paid RAVE $30.40 for. This is clearly a fraudulent practice, in my humble opinion and a way for RAVE to generate significantly more revenue by bypassing insurance companies. It appears to me from reading other reviews, that this is a standard practice at RAVE. Shame on me for not checking first and by making the assumption that RAVE is reputable Radiology center.
