Authentic Chinese Filipino cuisine. Super delicious noodle dishes, siopao and dimsum. Small restaurant but delivers in taste. Definitely worth checking out. Reasonable prices too. Huge portions very good for sharing.

I saw that the name of this restaurant changed from Mami King to Manami King,, I came by to check it out and ordered the same dish I usually order here, Special Mami and pork Asado siopao, It was the same, I was told that they have a new owner and changed the name around sept of 2025., everything remained the same, same staff,, streamlined menu, the place is cleaner. The waitress was nice, friendly and professional, service was quick and my order was prepared for me quickly,

Ordered chicken mami and bola bola. Nice local spot. Great to pick up some chicken Mami for cold and rainy days. It is a small location with just enough tables. Service is always friendly and hospitable. Thank you!

With God as my witness, I proclaim that this was the best crispy Pata I've ever had. Some places will overcook it causing the inner meat to be hard and chewy but not here!Outside is perfectly crispy, fat nicely rendered, and the inner meat is perfectly tender, moist, and flavorful. Everything is seasoned so well. It's surprisingly not oily greasy at all. The woman at the counter who picked up my calls and packed my order was also very sweet and kind. As a meat snob, I give this meal a 5/5 star rating and can't want to order this again. If you've never had crispy Pata before, get this with friends and make sure to eat it with vinegar!

I just want to say that I am mad! Mad at myself for not knowing about this amazing place before and mad at any of my friends that knew of it but didn't share. Those of you who know me know that I LOVE Filipino food. Now onto the most important part of this post. The staff and the owners have such an immense sense of gratitude for each and every one of their customers and a pride in what they serve that is visible. This is the kind of place you want to come and support while enjoying some of the most INCREDIBLE food!!! Now I have been working in restaurants since the late 90's on and off. I helped open a few restaurants and even worked with a Chef icon. So when I tell you the crispy pata I had today was one of the most delicious things I have ever devoured, believe it. From the crispy skin to the succulent meat that hugged the bone, I was in absolute food heaven!!! I know my reviews are wordy but honestly to try and describe absolute perfection takes some words. I give you my word that this is the place to go!

A quaint spot serving cozy Filipino food.Where I live there's not many Filipino restaurants, so when I was in the area I had to stop by. Mama king has great specials for a small or large group. They have all the favorites like lumplang Shanghai, Lechon Kawali, chicken adobo& Pancit Bihon, just to name a few. The food here has always been seasoned well and cooked perfectly. If you're looking for fast authentic Filipino food look no further. Staff is super friendly too.

Our favorite Chicken Noodle Mami, Beef Noodle Mami and Siomai place here in the San Fernando Valley is Mami King. They simply have the best noodles. Their soups and noddles are perfect for this time of the year especially during the holiday season to keep us warm. The Chicken Noodle Mami is flavorful and has plenty of chicken both white meat and dark meat. It has lots of greens. The noodles are packed separately in plastic. It's up to you how much noodles you want to put in your soup container. One order is $10.95. The Siomai comes in 3 pieces for 1 order of $4.95. The Siomai is also good to try. It comes with lemon (form of liquid), soy sauce and hot sauce on the side so it's up to you to make and mix your own sauce depending on how you like it. Customer service here is always excellent and consistent. The sweet lady at the counter remembers me and would make sure every time to check with me regarding peanut, tree nut and sesame seed food allergies and cross contamination. Thank you so much Mami King always!

Had lunch here, and we ordered the family meal for $38 which included a Kare kare, pancit bihon and rice and siomai. You can choose a different combination of your choice from the menu. Service was so surprisingly quick! We're just wondering if they are either pre cooked earlier or from yesterday's (hoping it's not). The pancit taste very good especially with the fried crispy pork. Kare kare is ok , i had better from another filipino resto, though the meat was very tender, the color is not your usual orangy sauce, this one is brownish in color. I like that there a lot of veggies in it. The 3 pc siomai is also ok. Lacks the umami flavor we're looking for. There was only 1 server when we came, but she was able to managed a good service. Friendly staff. Will we come back or not? Yes we'll come back and try the mami and siopao and their savory chicken which they are famous for. Place is small and clean. The airconditioning was great! 3 stars for now...

If you're ever craving some Filipino Food, this little hole in the wall will satisfy those cravings! The people working here are so nice and I just love supporting my fellow Filipinos in the Valley. The place isn't very big but the menu has everything from Siomai, Siopao, Pancit to Lechon Kawali! On this visit, we ordered the Chicken Mami, Pork Asado Siopao, Arroz Caldo, Tokwa't Baboy & Siomai! All were very good! If you haven't tried this place yet you have to because it's a hidden gem! My wife loved it so we will definitely be back! :)

My husband has been craving Mami King since last Sunday so we're back in Panorama City to get his fix. :) We arrived just as they opened and were happily welcomed in. Our server brought menus, utensils and napkins as we got seated, then took our drink order. I was surprised when my husband asked for Sago & Gulaman -- he would normally just take sips out of mine. I didn't realize he liked it so much that he didn't want to share anymore, lol. For our lunch we chose our usual favorites -- beef mami, deep fried chicken, siomai and siopao. Everything was so, so good, nostalgic and so, so satisfying. Service is quick and polite every time we come here. The food never disappoints. Located in a small plaza, parking can get tough. But we've been coming here for years. It hasn't stopped us yet.

I was happy to see that there is a Mami King in the area again. I've been a patron of the Mami King on Sunset in LA for many years and was sad when they closed down. This place is tiny with about 8 small tables to sit and eat. They had the usual on the menu: chicken and beef Mami, siopao, siomai, different types of pancit and drinks. We ordered 3 chicken mami, pancit Miki bihon (a combination of skinny and fat noodles) and 3 sago gulaman. Prices are reasonable. Got all of this for $70. Some may say expensive, but food was tasty. The food was good (although not as good as I remember but good enough) and the sago gulaman was delicious! If you're in the area, come check it out.

This is my go to for siopao and mami. They have an extensive menu of other Filipino dishes as well. They menu has tons of photos so this will help if you are not familiar with all the dishes. They have some seating inside and they are very friendly.

Nestled in the sauce were vibrant, perfectly cooked vegetables: tender bok choy, slightly charred green beans, and slices of eggplant that had soaked up all the savory depth of the stew. At the heart of the dish lay generous chunks of beef -- fork-tender, deeply flavored, with just enough fat to melt into the sauce and give it that rich, silky mouthfeel Kare Kare is known for. Sprinkled over the top were crunchy bits, adding a satisfying contrast to every spoonful. Of course, the small side of bagoong (fermented shrimp paste) was essential -- a modest dollop transformed each bite, balancing the sweetness and creaminess of the peanut sauce with a punch of briny intensity. Paired with steaming garlic rice, every scoop felt like the perfect blend of textures and flavors, a true homage to the Filipino classic. Eating Spoon & Pork's Kare Kare felt both nostalgic and elevated -- the heart and soul of a traditional comfort food presented with an eye for freshness and balance. It's the kind of dish that makes you slow down, savor each bite, and immediately start planning your next visit.

4.5 stars. Sorry,…read moreguys - I'm still catching up on my reviews and am kicking myself for failing to write this before Spoon & Pork permanently shut its doors. This was an unforgettable eatery. During our trip to Los Angeles in May, 2023, Wendell invited Jay, Z and me to meet up with Veda and him for a late lunch at 2 PM at one of their favourite Filipino restaurants, Spoon & Pork, on Sunday, the 7th. Spoon & Pork, which originated as a food truck, was a restaurant that specialized in Filipino comfort food with a contemporary twist. They offered a fresh, inventive fusion of the flavours of the Philippines with modern sophistication. Nestled in the vibrant heart of Los Angeles' Silver Lake neighbourhood, Spoon & Pork was a cozy boutique eatery on bustling Sunset Boulevard that greeted guests with a neon pig sign at their front entrance. No private lot on this busy street, so finding nearby parking was a bit challenging and although the charming spot offered both indoor and al fresco dining, seating was also limited. The tropical-inspired dining room with warm wood accents created an effortlessly cool and relaxed atmosphere that felt both modern and rooted in tradition. Upon entry, guests were welcomed by the aroma of sizzling meats and fragrant spices which alluded to the culinary journeys to come. The food at Spoon & Pork wasn't exactly what one's nanay (mom) or lola (grandma) would cook. Celebrating fresh takes on the richness of Filipino cuisine, the menu was an invitation to indulge in unexpected, compelling twists on a thoughtfully curated selection of traditional dishes, infusing familiar flavours into new forms. Below are what we ordered: beef tapa ($25) - MASARAP (DELICIOUS)! Of all the dishes that we ordered, this was the winner of them all as the succulent meat packed a punch of flavour. adobo tofu ($14) - One of Wendell's regular orders, this notable plant-based option, was a tasty, innovative take on the Philippine classic that balanced tradition with modern creativity. laing ($9) - From their platito, small plates section, this bowl of coconut braised taro leaves was rich and creamy deliciousness, but, yes, mini in portion size. garlic rice ($4/$7) - Ordering the garlic rice over plain jasmine rice was a no brainer. Thoroughly infused with the savouriness of the many bits of garlic, this rice perfectly paired with all of the other dishes. bistek ($28) - The skirt steak was very tender and the sauce perfectly balanced the tanginess from the calamansi juice with the savoury soy sauce. lechon kawali ($23) - Another reimagined classic dish featuring crispy, golden pork belly with crunchy skin and tender, flavourful meat inside. The dish was complemented by a tangy, pickled red cabbage that enhanced the crispy texture and added a refreshing contrast. This mastery of flavour and texture tickled Z's tastebuds and won him over. Before this day, Z was never a fan of Filipino food. Everything tasted boldly rich and every bit intensely intoxicated our taste buds. Service was quick, friendly, and attentive. What a remarkably epicurean feast and delightful experience we enjoyed! We're super bummed that Spoon & Pork permanently closed shoppe. Z and I were hoping to return for another tasty meal. Truly, a worthy spot this place was to hit up for an impressively creative taste of the Philippines in Los Angeles.

It's basically heaven if you're Filipino like me, and if you're not Filipino, it's a great way to try yummy authentic street food! It's self service where you go in line to pick your skewers, pay, then grill them to your liking outside. Each skewer is about $2 each. It's a really popular place so there's likely a longish wait but it's totally worth it. The bbq sauce they add at checkout was sweet and yummy, I would recommend adding it to everything. After grilling, the skewers were delicious and exactly what I wanted. Not only do they sell skewers but almost everything I could think of: mango with bagoong, fruit salad, buko pandan, turon, carioca, gulaman, fish ball (the ones you would get from the street cart in the PH), and a lot more! The service is also amazing. Waiting in line and eating outside, their social media manager goes around talking to people on a mic and making sure everyone is having a good time. At checkout, they are happy to help you and grab anything you need. They also have people outside monitoring the grill and stepping in if you need help or the stick accidentally catches on fire. Just the feeling of sitting outside surrounded by Filipinos and Filipino food lovers and eating food from our childhood, just made me and my group feel so nice. We left repeating "Wow, I love being Filipino." This is definitely a destination spot for those who love Filipino street food. I would 200% recommend going here.

I really enjoy Filipino street food. Done right, you not only get some of their traditional flavors…read morebut you get to try some delicacies you can't find outside of the Philippines. It was packed that evening. We stayed for at least two hours, taking in the experience. Visiting you want to try your traditional proteins, chicken, pork and barbecue chicken. If you're feeling adventurous try the dried squid, chicken skin, pork isaw, pork skin and beef liver. Some of my favorites would include the vegetable ukay, kewk kwek and had I known I would've had their Balut just because! This will be another spot I'd come to visit again when I'm in LA. The outdoor seating is lively, patrons are enjoy Ming their skewers, the smell of barbecue is in the air. What's not to love?!

A while back, I saw a video of a grip of gen z Fil-Ams talking about how this was their go to spot…read morefor Filipino foods. A lot of them said they fux with the sinigang. Color me confused because I had never heard of her. What rock have I been living under that I'd never heard of this place? So, early one Saturday, I pulled up with my sister from another mister to get our breakfast on. First of all, tell me why they're basically down the street from me. They've been around as long as I've been alive and not once had I been. Truly a shock considering my commitment with never making food at home. I stay eating outside. There was only one other group of diners while we were there. A family of 4 who were seated in the back room. We ended up being seated in the area facing Fountain. My first comment was how I felt like I was at my Lola's house because the decor was giving Lola vibes, in the best way. I felt like I was home. My friend got the laing meal and I got the tocino. We also got a side order of the sweet & spicy longanisa. Broooooooooooooo That food was wow. I'm gonna say it again - it tasted like home. Down to the fixins on the table like vinegar and suchas. I appreciated all the little touches. We ate so much yet still had so much leftovers. Their portion size was crazy. We would've been good with just one meal and another protein a la carte. We also got a small bowl of their arroz caldo. Let me tell you something, a single tear legit went down my left cheek. That tasted like what my mom made for me when she was still with us. The memories that came flooding back took me on a rollercoaster of emotions. We did order their famous empanada that never came. We had to remind our server that he never dropped it off. I'm not sure why he didn't double check if we still wanted them which we did. We would've obviously paid for them. Despite that they're getting all the stars from me because the food was fire and their drinks were 10/10. I got the Maria Clara. They also allow two free refills so that's a double win. I'm about to pull up every weekend. Take all my monies.

Tried this place for the first time with friends earlier today. I ordered Sinigang na Bangus…read more(Milkfish) with garlic rice and I thought it was really good. I felt comforted by the sourness of the Sinigang soup after feeling stressed about my final exam. My friends ordered Tapsilog and Tocilog (tapa and tocino with garlic fried rice) and I was able to try them. The tapa was alright, but the tocino was very delicious. I liked how the tocino wasn't fatty at all. I would recommend the Sinigang and Tocilog to other friends/my family. The service was great. Our server was nice and accommodated us quickly when we needed something. The wait time for the food we ordered wasn't so bad. I also liked the ambiance of the restaurant because it felt like I was inside a family friend's house, which was unique to me. The food is a little on the pricier side for Filipino food, but overall I had a great experience dining here.
