After getting a Pub Pass as a gift, I've been working through some of the local breweries on it. Decided on checking out the Mana brewery on the east side of town. The location is nice, right off 94 and 494. Parking can be slightly tricky, as you aren't supposed to use the parking lot adjacent to the building and there isn't a ton of street parking. It did appear you could use the underground lot for a fee. The space inside has lots of seating and isn't so loud you couldn't have a conversation. I tried a Hefeweizen, hubs got a porter. We were both pleased by the beers. We were also there with another couple, so we ordered a couple pizzas to share. They also have some other bar food and cocktails, if beer and pizza aren't your thing. Staff were more than willing to answer an questions you had and everything came up very quickly. read more

It's an open, airy, modern space with windows all around. It would be lovely on a quieter evening, but it was so loud when our group was there that we couldn't hear each other. It's self-order at the counter, so you can just go up and order whatever you want. Food items are pretty limited. read more

This place is FUN! The atmosphere is bright and open, giving off great vibes for anyone. They have a cute couch seating area, pinball machines, and games for their regular seating area as well. The food is delicious, the beer is great, and the cocktails are phenomenal. The staff here are all friendly and knowledgeable as well. Overall, this is a great place to hang out, catch dinner with a friend, or for date night. read more

Attention: "new brewery"!! Actually their second location. We came on opening day/evening. They really took advantage of all the space they have, plenty of seating. Only downside is parking, mostly street parking and I guess some covered parking but we didn't check it out. Drinks we had: Imperial red: hint of bourbon due to it being aged in a barrel, good taste, a little strong for me. Old fashion: average but good cocktail Dirty soda for the kiddo: great tasting and refreshing Food we had: Kiddo had a kids cheese pizza (too much sauce but tastes like a cheese pizza Pretzel: best thing we had, came out hot and with cheese and a German mustard Nachos with chicken: average to below (most of the chips underneath had little to no cheese on them), chicken was cold and presentation was mediocre Prosciutto Brie: pizza had good flavor and cooked very well. Good brewery with lots of potential, staff was very accommodating but learning as they went with how busy it was. Can't wait to come back and check out even more beers and food. read more

Get the thugs off me Some parking ticket bullshit Not paying ever So Mana in Shakopee is OK. Decided to check out their new location in Oakdale to maintain my lockdown on Minnesota breweries. The recently opened Oakdale location is in a sleek new residential building next to a bus center with little to none in the way of street parking. There is, however, a garage attached to the building. No access key needed. I remember very vividly a sign that said if you park under an hour it's free. Great! Was there for forty minutes. Left with no attendant or booth at exit. Couple weeks later. "Parking ticket" from Interstate Parking for $82.74. On the envelope and elsewhere in the ticket they call themselves Municipal Parking. Called Mana and best I could get out of them is they are not doing it anymore. Now free, even though the sign at the time said under an hour free. Yesterday received a "Late Notice" for $118.67. What a scam! I do impute this bogusness to Mana. Figure it out with the landlord rather than have your customers be mail terrorized. I will never pay this "ticket". Take me to court and I will fight it. read more

2nd visit was good. Beer flight - fun too try the different brews, unfortunately didnt care for two of the four. My friends cocktail was pretty but too sweet. She said it didnt sit right, closing. A friend and I stopped into the new location in Oakdale and had a couple beers and food. They have a good variety of snacks and pizza as well as a decent selection of styles of beer as well as cocktails . We sat at the bar and the bartenders were friendly and helpful. I decided on chips and queso and a meats pizza. The pizza was delicious and filling. The queso was real good but the chips were just standard. For beer I had an altbier and an amber. My friend had a stout that I tried as well. Nothing amazing about the beer but it was tasty. The space was large and they did have bingo and other events happening there. You could tell people already have made it their go to spot. I'd definitely stop in again. read more

Stopped in Sunday for my inaugural visit. I didn't see the banner on the patio so I thought I was in the wrong place... it was an apartment building. Circling back.. I saw it. I wasn't sure... there was a chalkboard sign directing parking in to the garage but I didn't attempt, so I street parked about five spaces away. Nick was my friendly bartender and helped me select his current go-to the Honey Hazy IPA, a NE IPA. He didn't steer me wrong, it was good. I didn't look over the rest of menu you but it was sizeable w cocktails, desserts and pizzas... all which have been on my radar @ the original Shakopee brewery, I just haven't made the jump. I really liked the floor to ceiling windows... all around! The bathrooms were close to the bar. Thanks Mana Oakdale for a delicious beer at my 375th brewery, cheers! read more

Beautiful brand new brewery right on the boarder of woodbury and Oakdale! Absolutely loved this new place. Great service, and the food was yummy. Good pizza, pretzels and queso! They have a full bar as well. Pull tabs are coming as well! Street parking or garage parking. Cheers! read more

Second location for this brewery. It's in a brand new building. There is covered parking at street parking available. They have a woodfired pizza oven. The beers were excellent. I went there during their opening week so it was lively. I sat at the bar, the bartenders were very attentive. The beer was delicious. Oh I already said that. But I meant it. Cool space, open modern light industrial sort of feeling. It's in an apartment building. read more

Had a surprise party with 30 people for my husband's birthday Saturday afternoon. The staff was very accommodating giving us the back area. We ordered a dozen pizzas, drinks and beer.
