BBQ chicken pizza with dairy free cheese.

As someone with Celiac.... This was a rare find. It's been a long time since I could eat pizza and not get sick. The pizza was amazing, staff was knowledgeable about allergies and it was over all a great experience. I highly recommend checking this out if you can't eat gluten.

Finally, we were able to have a Randys celiac-safe pizza! It was everything everyone is saying-it's crispy, chewy, flavorful, cheesy...yes everything. No more grainy, flavorless pizza crusts for this lady, Randys has conquered the gluten free pizza crust. We shared the large premiere Hawaiian pizza. See paragraph above for the final thoughts.

Really enjoyed the pizza from here! We also had wings which could have used more sauce but was a great gluten free option close to home

My sister ordered online (super smooth process), and we picked it up on the way home. When she opened the car door with the box, I literally burst out laughing as this pizza was HUGE. A large is no joke here.....I'm still laughing about it. The pizza itself? I really enjoyed it. Thin, crispy, foldable slices with fresh toppings that were oh so delicious. You can really taste the quality. We also grabbed some chicken wings and they were perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside, and juicy inside. Total win. Just a heads-up: this is more of a takeout spot that smells so good. There's no indoor seating, just a few picnic tables outside if you want to eat right away. But even if you're bringing it home, the food travels well and still tastes great. Highly recommend checking it out and I don't think you'll leave hungry!

Our gluten-free guest liked the gluten-free crust. Cons: No indoor seating. Take out only and picnic tables outside. (That won't work in winter). The owners need to focus on the recipes and quality control: there should be more sauce. The sauce and toppings should have been spread closer to the edge. Crust was salty. Hawaiian pizza was decent. Sausage pizza was stingy on ingredients. Additional specialty pizza choices would simplify ordering and the build your own order got pricey.

One of those things must change to command those prices. They need to hire servers who are honestly younger and more efficient, and sorry if that is ageist, but for their price point, I've had multiple experiences where the elderly servers never check up after food is delivered and constantly tell me about their stress and how they need to get caught up to even cash me out or get a box (no apology for not being around for over 20 minutes) and I'm there to relax, not hear about your stress. If you can't handle the amount of tables you have, let management know so they staff better or get you things or check on tables themselves, but don't dump your stress on customers. It's unprofessional at any restaurant, let alone an expensive one. The food quality has also gone down over the years, the vegetable and potato of the day yesterday was inedible, and soups and salads are add ons instead of being included like all other nice steakhouses. I just can't keep rooting for this place and spending money here because it's just not worth the price for what you get and the service is so poor. Two stars for the cute ambiance.

I ordered the egg rolls, wontons, and the sesame chicken lunch combo. When we arrived, we noticed they had a lunch special available until 3 p.m. We asked if we could still order from that menu, and the woman taking our order pointed to her clock and said no. I glanced at my phone--it was 2:55 p.m. I asked her when the cut off time was and mentioned that their clock seemed a bit fast. She eventually let us order the lunch combo, but it was clear she wasn't thrilled about it. The interaction left us feeling a little awkward. As for the food--it was just okay. The wontons were bland and lacked any real flavor. The sesame chicken was underwhelming, missing that punch of sweetness and crunch I was hoping for. The side of rice tasted old and dry, like it had been sitting out for a while. The one highlight was the egg roll. It came out hot and fresh, crispy on the outside and filled with a good amount of veggies. It's definitely up there with my favorites. If I'm in the area again and my bestie is craving this spot, I'd be open to giving it another shot. Next time, I'd skip the combo and stick with the egg rolls, and maybe try her favorite dish--the lo mein. Hopefully, it'll be a better experience.

If I describe the environment as being half of the lobby of a new suburban apartment complex, that doesn't do justice to how pleasant it is. Homey, quiet, clean, intentionally designed. When the apartment people give tours to prospective tenants, my confident assumption is that they DEFINITELY show off this area and it probably convinces people to move to this building. The baristas are serious coffee nerds, rightly proud of their single-origin sourcing from farms in Honduras, Costa Rica, and Colombia. My iced vanilla latte tasted great; the mild sweetness from their house-made vanilla was perfect. My friend got a pourover that he loved; he stayed there for about an hour doing some work and was impressed by how long that container stayed warm. If you're arriving by car, there is street parking around the building, but there is also the option of going into the building's garage. They confirmed to me that the ground-level parking spaces are available to customers during their open hours. Also, this is right across the street from the Helmo Ave. station on the new Gold Line. If you're taking that route before 4pm, consider hopping off for one of their impressive coffees!

I shared the loaded fries, onion rings, and boneless chicken wings served with ranch and habanero sauce. The chicken wings were my favorite. They had a tasty dry rub on it. The onion rings were crunch and flavorful. Personally, next time I'd pass ok the loaded fries. I do commend this establishment on their management. I did experience a problem during my meal. A server accidentally dropped a few sides of ranch while delivering the meals, and it landed down the back of my jacket. They not only covered the dry cleaning bill, but also covered the cost of the jacket when the stain did not completely come out. It's the care like this that I will remember and keep me coming back.

Decided to split a few appetizers: onion rings, boneless wings, and fiesta fries. The food was decent overall, but the fiesta fries were a bit disappointing and overly messy with too much cheese (I don't remember them being like that). I'd probably try a sauce on the wings next time. Our server, Nicole, was fine but nothing memorable. Also worth mentioning, gratuity was automatically added to the bill. One thing I appreciate about Ray J's is their large menu with many options. Lots of tv's available for sports watching and pull tabs.
