This place was a little hard to find. It is located inside another restaurant called Cinco Taco Bar in the back counter. I had some carne asada fries and wowit was loaded with toppings. The meat was flavorful and the fries were crispy and the toppings were fresh and delicious. The employees were nice and friendly and the service was quick. A great place to go to for carne asada fries. read more

Man Vs Fries is just a small "pop-up" offered inside Cinco Taco Bar, so when you arrive, just go inside Cinco. Both locations currently have Check in offers from Yelp and the one for Man Vs Fries was for a free can of soda with my order, which they kindly obliged when asked. I highly recommend the asada fries. For $15 you easily get enough to feed 2 people and the flavors are really delicious. The guacamole works really well with the sauce they use and it is flavorful and has a punch but not too spicy for someone like me. I was disappointed that my fries were soggy and some of them were not cooked all the way but the rest of the reviews said they offered really crispy fries so I am willing to assume I just came on a bad day. Still, I was satisfied and the food tasted good but more importantly I would definitely come back here again. read more

Hype!! Location is a bit hard to find due to the name. It's actually located inside of Cinco Taco Bar. The man v fries is literally just a menu. The carne asada fries... the best thing was probably the fries themselves. Fresh and crispy. The asada felt aged, dry and been sitting. The cheese was just nachos cheese that's been heated (you can see the can from the kitchen front). It's a small portion for $15 overall, nothing worth driving for unless you're in the area since other places that serve carne asada fries are more likely to be better. Service was great and restrooms were clean. They also have a great bar selection. read more

Location: inside of Cinco Taco Bar, in the corner you can order and pi k up food when ready. I had the Nor Cal burrito which is basically a cali burrito. I liked it, the sauce gave it some good flavor. The nacho fries were tasty. Loaded with asada and fries were crispy. I like that they give nacho cheese with the order and plenty of salsas for your chips. read more

This isn't an actual restaurant location. You order inside Cinco Taco Bar. At the cash register area, there is a small chalkboard menu with their popular items. They have a wider selection on their website. All the workers are extremely friendly, so don't hesitate to ask them about it. I love Hot Cheetos, so I ordered the SoCal Burrito with steak. It also came with salsa and tortilla chips, which were thin and crispy. They have an orange hot sauce, which was great with the burrito as well. As I was eating my burrito, I noticed that it didn't have any Hot Cheetos inside. I asked the worker, and she was very accommodating and nice. She gave me a side of Hot Cheetos and nacho cheese. I added the Hot Cheetos into the burrito myself, which wasn't a big deal. If anything, it worked in my favor. I saved half the burrito for later, and I didn't have to worry about the Hot Cheetos getting soggy. The SoCal Burrito itself was amazing! The steak was well marinated and juicy. There was no rice or beans, which I liked! The burrito was meat, fries, cheese, and a variety of sauces. One of the best burritos I have ever had! read more

Man vs Fries is located inside Cinco Taco Bar. Very easy to order from both menus if you can't decide on the two. Which was what happened. I walked in there and ended up ordering from both places. They are open for take out only during Covid. The place was very bright and clean and had marks on where to stand for social distancing. This review will be for Man vs Fries food only. The carne asada fries were good. Only trick is that you have to eat them as soon as possible! I ordered the SoCal version but let's be honest here, it's truly hard to find a place that makes it exactly they way it should be. Close but not quite. Everything else looked great in the menu and in pictures and these are very large portions. Come hungry! I may come back for their California Crunch or something. read more

This was a popular inside a taco shop, I was really excited to be trying put this place but felt like the crunch wrap was above a Taco Bell not exactly amazing. The fries were good we got the NorCal version carne asada I felt the meat was a bit gamey otherwise the fries itself was seasoned very well. I asked for hot sauce ans the sauce we got was not spicy at all.. may try the burrito if I end up here again read more

I stopped by after a long day on my way back home from my sons doctor appointment. The gal helping me and my son was very nice , she even offered a taco for him to try. The burrito I got and taco my son had was very delicious. Will definitely be back soon! Service was great! read more

This pop-up is located inside Cinco TacoBar, and partners with GrubHub. We ordered on our way to this location, and to our surprise, our order was hot and ready for us within 10 minutes! The incorporation of hot Cheetos definitely lured us to come check this place out. We ordered the SoCal Burrito, and we easily split this 13" burrito. The entire burrito was flavorful, and their side of secret sauce was bomb! Towards the end of the meal, do not intend the burrito to be as delicious since the hot Cheetos do get to a soggy point. We hit the lunch rush, as we saw the line build up to the door. The Papa Loca (waffle cut fries) was delicioussss. The portion size definitely aligned with the price. Don't forget to pair it with a refreshing drink! The staff here are really nice, and it seems that they offer new fun concoctions at the bar, which is a plus! Overall, we would definitely come back to grab a few tacos and make sure to save some room to try out their desserts that they offer. read more

Quesadilla pizza anyone? California style. We were so excited to eat this! These dillas are filled with fries, your choice of meat (chicken or asada), sour cream, queso, gauc, and hella cheese! I am so elated and excited that I gave Man Vs. Fries a second chance! This time around I ordered the HellaDilla with cheese, fries, and flammin' hot Doritos and it was delicious. The spiked ranch provided the flavor that I was missing from my last visit. Also, I had to give the #fryedcheesecake another chance and it was delightful. Got the asada fries and they were great. Never thought hot cheetos and asada fries would mix, but it works. Service was friendly and quick. Definitely should not visit here if you have to go to the doc or get your bp measured, but other than that, Man v Fries is highly recommended to satisfy the fatass within you. read more

1 "Socal burrito" With an agua fresca, and a $2 tip(which I regret now) came out to $22. And half way through my burrito I found no guacamole. $22 for meat, cheetos, and French fries. And not even guacamole, Thats a little ridiculous. read more

Ordered two helladillas over the phone because I was super excited to try them out. The spiked ranch really peaked my interest. I got my order and when I opened it up it only came with carne asada, fries, and cheese inside. The sides included 2 sides of pico de gallo, two sides of salsa, two sides of chips, and one side of sour cream. No spiked ranch, guacamole, or queso! I was super disappointed and when I called I was told that those things are all extra, something totally different than what's on their menu. When I told the manager that, I was met with an "ok.." and nothing else. The menu needs to be fixed. It's a shame, I really wanted to like this place. WTF!! I just spent like 30 minutes driving around looking for 'MAN VS FOOD' which is not what the resteraunt is called! On top of that I got nothing like what I ordered. A quesadilla with a little meat and cheese and fries.. I was craving a taco bell crunchwrap supreme but I found this instead and thought oh hell yea, this is going to be way better. Boy was I wrong. Not only did I get the wrong order, i was too far away at the time to care about going back. I got the one with the cheetos in it. I tried to pick it up and eat like i would a crunchwrap but the thing fell apart immediately. Also the cheetos were soggy from all the sour cream and moisture. No crunch! I ended up having to eat the thing with a fork and knife. The experience was basically akin to eating a normal burrito with soggy cheetos instead of rice. I only ate a little more than half of it before I felt this wasn't a good enough to finish. MAYBE I'll try to have a different one (without cheetos) but TBH i feel even if done right its hard to beat the Tacobell Crunchwrap supreme. read more

First-timers from SF, ordered CBR waffle fries and Cowgirl burrito. Solid 3 for quantity of protein and meal size. Flavors were difficult to find - I wanted the sharp salty flavor of bacon, but maybe it wasn't fresh enough? The spiked ranch wasn't ranch-y enough, the Cowgirl burrito tasted like a western/bbq burger so as long as you're not craving an authentic carna asada then it's good! TLDR: I love cali burritos, but the queso was ??? This is a order online only place so order before you go! The burritos are a little pricey... but it does come with a queso. I got the norcal burrito while my friend got the socal burrito which is the same thing as the norcal one but with hot cheetos. We also got the asada fries because we thought we could do it all... we thought wrong. The burritos are really good, but I do have a weakness for cali burritos. Both my friend and I loved every bite of it... but we were unbelievably full afterwards. We didn't even touch the fries... but they looked really good too. The queso was really flavorless though, and didn't understand the point of it. Can't wait to come back! read more

Came across this business from a fellow yelper so I book marked it. We were finally in the area and I was very disappointed. It was majority fries inside our orders. I should've guessed that looking at the name of the business. Our sons were not even impressed. I thought they would like it. They're also pricey given that it's mostly carbs, our total came out to $36 for 2 items. They were pretty fast though, I give them that. If you're someone who loves fries this is for you. This place is located inside the Cinco Taco bar in a strip mall. We made a run here before we went to the Livermore outlets. Its about a 10 minute drive east past the outlet mall freeway off ramp. I looked at their website which helped since once you go inside Cinco Taco, they had a small menu by the register. We ordered the Asada Fries and Texas Cowgirl Burrito. When we ordered you could tell they didnt make the items too often since they had to pull out the ingredients list to make them. The Asada Fries was more than enough for one person. I had the Texas Cowgril Burrito with pollo, straight-cut fries, beer battered onion rings, bacon, cheese, and smoky bbq sauce all wrapped up as a buritto and it was great. We made a special trip out to this place today because we have been told the food was good... Unfortunately we didn't even get a chance to try it. The staff unfriendly and acted as if it was a big deal to answer any questions concerning the menu. I under stand it Sunday evening and the staff would probably be doing something other than making burritos. But it's your job and that's how the business makes money... But I guess being pissy and stuck up is more fun than having a long lasting business. They staff made my wife feel so unwelcome we left. Turns out there is a wing stop around the corner.. I really wanted to love this place. It was okay for me. It's like a mixture of chipotle and Taco Bell. Staff is very friendly. With a yelp check in you get a free can of soda. I got a flamin cali crunch, which is similar to the crunch wrap from Taco Bell. It has your choice of meat, I chose carne asada and your choice of hot chips I got hot Cheetos. It was good, it comes with a side of spiked ranch. My husband ordered the Texas cowgirl fries. These came with waffle cut fries, carne asada, cheese, onion rings, bbq sauce, and spiked ranch. The spiked ranch doesn't taste like ranch or nor is it spicy. These place would be a good place to come to when you have a hangover. read more

Ok being honest the 3 stars is not accurate. But my first experience I want to give an allowance for the effort: great concept! The key to food is FLAVOR: the challenge is allowing the those flavors to be discerned with every bite. The menu invites, but the delivery deceives. Just could not taste what they were offering. Again great potential but they may be trying to do too much. Hope they don't give up though because I think they have had the right idea! read more

First impression upon viewing the menu: WOW. I ordered the nachos with asada and flamin hot Doritos, Nor Cal style with jalapeños. Amazing. Loaded with toppings and the meat was tender. Guacamole was good too! Only complaints: jalapeños need to be cut smaller and there wasn't much cheese on my nachos. I'm still giving 5 stars though because 4.5 isn't an option. read more

Who was I before this genius food approached targeted me on Instagram using a social media tactic that would make the Fyre Festival envious? I was a shell of the human I am today. I get Man VS Fries at least twice a month and it's almond always great and on time. This time was disappointing, however. App said my food is ready but had to wait 10 more minutes for my order to be handed over. In addition, my asada fries and burrito were incorrect but I didn't realize till I got home. My order was suppose to have seasoned straight fries but had normal thin ones...definitely not what I wanted or I just would have ordered Cinco and saved a few bucks.... Maybe next time. read more

Here are the things we got: Appetizers - Parm crusted cauliflower: so good, nice and crunchy but not too heavily breaded. The chipotle mayo was delish - Chicharrones: so light and crispy! They were hot out of the fryer. It had a side of a corn cheese dip that was so good and made it more unique of a dish -- must try if you even kind of eat chicharrones. I don't generally like pork skin but I enjoyed it regardless. - Hamachi ceviche: this is a large sharing portion with chunks of hamachi and avocado. Good but not a must have. Entrees - Enchiladas: very cheesy and overall a good dish but I would skip this. - Shrimp tostadas: large size shrimp and it just comes with two tostadas so I don't think it was worth the price - Barramundi fillet: The fish was tender and juicy. I liked the marinades that came with it. I liked this dish with the rice because it made me feel homey. Good portion of fish. - Agua Chile Ribeye: This is a must have! The ribeye is sous vide so it was soo tender and juicy. The broth was really nice to keep everything moist and flavorful. This has happened time and time again even after asking the hosting staff to "double check", "please make sure", "are you sure this is mild?" This obviously isn't the only issue. As many others have mentioned, food quality has gone down hill as a whole. Sometimes food seems stale or rushed. If Casa wants to remain a Livermore staple, it really needs to work on making the quality of their service match their pricing expectations.
