I ordered the Kung Pao and some rice (there is 10 pound minimum order). The delivery took a long time to arrive as well. The thing about Kung Pao chicken is if it's got to be made properly. As a connoisseur of Kung Pao, I can tell you that if it's too battered, it's gross. If it is it cold, it is gross. If it is bland, it is gross. Ho Lok made their Kung Pao all of these lovely things. Additionally the rice was also greasy and cold as well. Ho Lok should look for another customer.

It is only take-away and if they know you, you can phone your order in before coming to collect. This is useful and saves a 10/15 minute wait. I have given it three stars because after you have tried the food, the next time you come back you will want more dishes and will always buy more than you can eat at one sitting!!! Sometimes my wife and I find we have enough left for two more meals each. I really must be sterner with myself! I visit about twice a year but the owners are always friendly and recognise me. Update: crispy shredded chicken in honey sauce is also one of my favourite food. The chicken was tender and crispy even after deep frying, it's the best to come with the honey sauce - sweet and crispy. It's amazing!
