Stir-fry vegetables (added peppers & chili oil)

I hate to see the low reviews - I thought this place was great! We were seated outside in a corner spot and just enjoyed the vibe during our last night visiting London. It was hard to pick a Chinatown restaurant to go to since there are so many, but we were very pleased with this spot. The food was good with a nice portion size, the servers were friendly, and the location was great. We did have to pay right when we ordered, but that is honestly smart of the restaurant since there are people that dine & dash!

we stopped here after walking through chinatown and we were craving asian cuisine. the atmosphere was so fun and vibrant. we ate outside and had the beautiful sea of lanterns above us. the service was speedy and waiter was very friendly. our food came fast and was very delicious! we ordered pork dim sum, chicken chow mein, and crispy chili beef. all of it was yummy, and we agreed our favorite was the crispy chili beef. the dim sum came very hot and was very flavorful as well. it was pricey though, split between 3 people the total was around £19 each and the portions weren't very big. for a one time stop it was a nice experience but you could probably find cheaper prices with the same quality of food somewhere else.

Shrimp Tofu / Shrimp Wonton

Pretty good food We were walking around Chinatown looking for some Chinese Lunch. There are lots of choices, but most of them not for us (we travel with our dog). This one had a bunch of tables outside, perfect for us and our doggy. We didn't do any research about the place and just took our chance. And we ended up very happy. We had some Fried Shrimp with Tofu, fried shrimp Wontons and the ribs. Some beer to wash it all down. All was done very well, can't really go wrong with fried food. Especially good were the ribs. Juicy, tender, lots of flavours, a good choice. Not the very best chinese place we've ever been, but surely one of the better!

Terrible

Meh. We were looking for brunch in Chinatown. This was one of the few restaurants that was open earlier, but as it turns out, they probably open earlier than the others because that's the only way they can get customers. Do yourself a favor and wait to eat at a different restaurant in Chinatown. Everything we had was pretty bad. The only item that was okay may have been the porridge, which is hard to get wrong. We had ordered chive dumplings that came out soggy and and room temperature. When we mentioned the texture to the server, she brought the menu and pointed to a different item on there, saying we should have ordered something deep fried if we wanted something crispy. The other items pictured in my review were mediocre at best.

Pretty standard Chinese restaurant decoration but I'm always happy when Tsing-Tao is on offer

Okay first of all I have to comment about the sign outside stating that dim sum is "served all day" despite the fact that inside we were informed that it was finishing very soon at around 4pm. However the food was great value for the money and the staff were very attentive. I was particularly satisfied with the fact that I was allowed to relocate me due to me not fitting at the first table (to be fair I am not the smallest guy and my knees didn't fit under the table). We ordered both the roast pork Cheung fun and the king prawn Cheung fun accompanied with grilled prawn dumplings and steamed pork buns all of which were perfect. I am keeping this review short as I was only in the restaurant for around 20 minutes due to the fact that I only ordered dim sum which is always almost instantly served.

Went there for dinner and karaoke on a Thursday evening, seemed busy but not hectic. It had an old school traditional kind of decor feel to the place, which makes a nice change from going to the regular contemporary themes that most Chinese restaurants are going for these days. They have 3 Karaoke rooms, a wide variety of songs from all languages and are fairly up to date with all the songs but don't have certain oldies. we had crispy pancake duck for starters which was very good, the roast chicken in the mains was a little dry but overall it was a pleasant enjoyable meal and the service was decent.

Walking down the main street of Chinatown packed with restaurants, trying to find a cozy little place where to have a nice dinner in two, Feng Shui Inn proved to be a choice by instinct. Feminine instinct, I might add. It drives you in with a decor embellished in red distinctive colour of China. The whole feeling of this restaurant evokes Chinese culture. The decorations inside are so very authentic. As we walk in the place seems to be quite full, yet a friendly waitress shows us the way to a quiet little table for two. Always afraid of glancing into a Chinese menu we finally have no difficulty making our choice for one of the menus for two people . It contains soup, duck rolls, stir fries in sufficient amounts (on friendly prices). The wine list perfectly complements the dishes and our choice of red wine proves to be the right decision. All night long -as you end up spending more time there than you expected-the service is attentive, warm, patient. Feng Shui Inn -bit mysterious, bit different -yet familiar -is a pleasant little restaurant for those loving Chinese cuisine -where you have the opportunity to discover new tastes and agonize with chopsticks. Never give up! Practise makes you better.

Much too pricey for the mediocre food it serves. Definitely avoid out of plenty of choices in Chinatown.

Food wise, I wouldn't it is the best Chinese I have ever been to but it's very good food and worth going if you want upscale Chinese without the crazyness of central London/Chinatown. We shared for starters the spicy sechuan aurbergine (a must order), mushroom buns (as nice as the ones from aWong) deep fried green beans (also a must) and the crispy duck ( Im never a fan but aWong and Kym's probably have the best ones and amazing plum sauce) For mains we tried the three treasure (soya chicken, iberico pork char sui and crispy pork). I think my favourite was the crispy pork. Its a good way of tasting all the rotisserie but if you are super hungry I would recommend ordering 2 of the rotisserie separetely. As for desserts, we tried the Pineapple bun and the cherry ice cream both lovely. Awong is definitly the king of custard. although I think the custard bun from aWong just beat everything lolol.

Victoria set the stage and steered me to a sampling that did not disappoint. Egg roll - not your typical egg roll, enshrined in a crispy rice shell, lightly fried to perfection, accompanied by a tangy sweet dipping delight. Followed by the mushroom steamed buns, and capped off by the most spectacular pork and shrimp boa boa, perfectly spicy, fully satisfying, a work of art. The service was spectacular and matched the experience. Make this a stop on your foodie tour of London.

It is an unassuming little Chinese take away place squashed between a men's barber shop and a second hand watch store and until I stopped in front of it by chance, I thought the barber shop and watch shop were direct neighbours! When I walked in I instantly thought of 2 films: 'Big Trouble in Little China' and 'Blade Runner'. Why? Honestly, I couldn't put my finger on it but I think it was because this is a tiny, teeny, place that looks family run and authentic. Not sure what I'm babbling on about here, I'll just get to the food... They have a lunch menu that is just £6, for which you get a starter and a main course with your choice of boiled or egg fried rice or noodles. The food is cooked freshly in front of you, is quite copious and tastes pretty damn good. I can thoroughly recommend the prawn sesame toast as a starter. Oh, important to mention that they have trouble getting more than 3 customers in the place at a time, be ready for a tight fit while you wait. A good take away lunch spot for those not wanting to settle for a sandwich, crisps and a can of pop - let's face it, that will cost you more than £6 at lunch in this part of town!

It's a small storefront, so just look for "left luggage" and it's directly across the street! Unlike many UK restaurants, your order is taken right at the table. A laminated menu with the list of options, including drinks, and a slip of paper to make your indications. All the food is prepared to order and I ws disappointed to not be able to see into the kitchen. However, when it arrived it was yummy! I went with the Singapore Laksa, which is a yellow curry coconut sauce with noodles, shrimp, sliced potatoes and tofu puffs. Absolutely delicious in a massive bowl, it was really warming on a cold day. Really inexpensive, even with a small bottle of Perrier, my meal was £6 (~$10). They also seem to serve the usual Asian stuff too - I saw tables with fried rice and other noodle dishes. Tight seating, but that was okay with me. I would absolutely return!
