I had PPF replacements done here. The pricing is better than other and the service is good value. Some other shops that charge more argue better service, but that hans't been my experience. Man Cave is as good as any, but at a better price. read more

Avoid at all costs. This place does sloppy work. Half their employees are outside smoking all day. You WILL receive sub-standard service. I walked home and back to the shop TWICE, while I live only 1 mile up the street, neither time did they offer a ride to or from, and I made it clear that I was going to walk, this was mid summer 95+ degree days... Pic1) They attempted to 'buff out' or rather hide a scratch with some black trim restoration/shine oil, now that section of trim not only has a scratch which seemingly occurred while at this shop (noticed upon departure), it is now glossy while the rest is flat/matte black. I've tried to remove it with alcohol and acetone to no avail...will be replacing that trim piece out of pocket, we'll see if the shop covers costs, will update review. Pic2) Minor scuff on mirror. They swapped mirrors with the shop owners Wife's Y without my permission, and in doing so, disconnected my GPS module, disabling FSD/Auto steer, I had to do detective work to determine them at fault, and return to the shop to have them take the housing apart and reconnect the module. Pic3) 3rd Tint redo, 4th tint job overall on the windshield...all had various defects, first was a large 1" hair in the middle, second was a large crease/pinch point in the tint as well as light gaps 3rd attempt had chatter marks and bubbles all in a cluster inside the drivers primary line of sight, this one has a huge 4" light gap on the driver bottom corner, they attempted to patch it which I authorized, however that only knocked it down by 2" so its still not ideal or to industry standard. Pic4) 4th tint job redo pickup, I had water marks on both sides of my pillars. Returning a customers car in this condition, even with the shop owner's oversight, is absolutely ridiculous, they're not just a tint shop, but a detail shop. They did remove about 75% of it, however I had to remove the remainder myself with an isopropyl alcohol soaked rag, luckily it is restored to factory condition... Pic5+6) The tinter, likely on his third redo, seemingly frustrated, banged the mirror/camera housing at least a dozen times on each side. Trying to rub out the scratches results in the material peeling. Pic7) Driver side warped. I went thru delivery defects with Tesla and was very anal about getting everything, there is no way I missed this issues if it was present upon delivery. The shop claims the dash was either damaged by Tesla or it came that way, neither of which are true. They also claim its impossible because they put down mats/towels to tint windshields, however when walking thru the shop after my last visit, there was an identical make/model/year model Y having their windshield re-tinted, and what did I see...standing water on the dash and a towel scrunched up in the middle barely covering 10% of the dash. Perhaps it was something I missed but I wouldn't trust them after what I saw... They say a pictures worth a thousand words, well, I need not say much, the pictures do all the talking. read more

I took my car here to get a paint correction, ceramic coating as well as ceramic tint. Ryan was great to work with, explained the process very thoroughly, I had some questions on what to do on the tint and he guided me what would look best and was right, everything came out so good, I couldn't believe it was my car when I was picking it up it looked so good. I just received my Black Raven 2021 5th generation Escalade, premium luxury platinum the day before Thanksgiving, and I was referred to Mike Bergren , and The Man Cave, by friends with exotic cars, who are very pleased with Mike's service. I picked up the car, on 11/25, but since it was the day before Thanksgiving, I decided to drop it off on Monday. Mike and I had talked before the vehicle arrived, and he had sent me a professional proposal for paint correction, ceramic coating, Xpel full front clip self-healing bra, window tint on every window, even a slight tint on the front windshield to stop the UV rays. I live more than an hour away from the shop, and when I got there, Mike made sure that I had transportation to get home, and then back to him when it was finished. He went through every detail of the work, and gave me a date, later in the week, when the car would be done. Mike is a very cool guy, and throughout the week, he would text me with updates on my vehicle, and clearly, he enjoyed what he does. Mike called me the date of completion, and we arranged a specific time for me to come and pick it up. To be honest, when I got there and walked back into the shop to look at it, I was stunned. Mikes crew did an amazing job on my vehicle. I have attached before and after pictures, and the difference is stunning. With the full front clip bra by xpel, you can't see any joints or ends, and it looks as gorgeous as the rest of the car with the ceramic coat. Frankly, if you didn't know it had a bra on it, you would not know... The best part, is that my vehicle is black, which as Mike said, isn't a color, it is a career. I brought in my black 2015 Ram 2500 for paint correction and detail and was mor me than pleased. Mike was great to work with and I was all set to do a 2 stage correction on my truck. What started as an amazing experience turned into a nightmare. I dropped my Model S to get ceramic coating, and tint. My first mistake was picking it up right before end of day. In the low light it was impossible to see the true low quality of their work. Some how they managed to stain my brand new middle back seat with a 4" purple stain, the vegan leather was white before this. When I took it back in initially Mike was combative and denied any responsibility. Then he must have realized he was providing poor customer service because then he promised to make it right, after her tried to remove it with paint thinner. He promised to have a detailer with magic chemicals come out to fix the car at his shop. Upon further inspection driver side window tint was tinted over a piece of dirt. I made an addition appointment to fix driver window re tinted and magic seat repair. Upon arrival for the repair and retint the detailer wasn't there to repair the seats but they promised since they are mobile that they can come to me, this was on 12/27. After waiting to have the driver tint re tinted it was the same as before, they tinted over organic matter but in a different spot this time! At this point I don't even want them to touch my car, because every time they do they damage something. As of writing this I paid 2k for ceramic coating and wrap around tint, I have received a stained seat and terrible tint. I would not recommend this shop to any one who values their personal time, money or vehicle read more

However the last experience I had, I got ripped off for $400 cash and a $200 gift card. I have been going to The Man Cave for quite some time. I've had many, many details done there. However this last time, and I do mean LAST time I was basically treated like shit. To start from the beginning, all my family lives in Illinois. There has been years of people there, in Illinois that have put their hard earned money twords gift cards that I had been saving up. I didn't actually get a physical card every time moneys money was sent from Illinois. Mind you that this had taken years to save up because instead of gifts for xmas or birthdays, I'd tell family to put $ on my account. A couple of months ago I brought in my actual physical gift cards, and Mike went through and got "everything" on his computer so I didn't need the actual card. I was told by Mike that I had around $800 dollars worth of gift cards in his computer. We had a discussion that day about what I was saving for, and Mike agreed to a certain price. That price would also include some more cash on my end. I was well aware of this and mike was as well. I took my car in around three weeks ago to have work done to what we had agreed. I received a call from mike saying that instead of the almost $800 I had on my account , he could only find $300 something in his "computer". Which was bologna because the last time I was in it was just short of $800. He also gave me some stuff about how his rent has gone up or whatever. That's not my gd problem!! My $$ should stay as it was on my account!!!! I told him that this was not accurate what so ever. Like I said earlier that we both had a total of right around $800 on my account. However I guess that he felt that this wasn't the fact or he couldn't "find" it all of a sudden. When I came to pick the car up, this "man" mike demanded that not only do I need to give him a $200 gift card that I purchased for my wife, but on top of that, $400 !!!! It's really sad that I have basically wasted my time (7yrs) and money to develop a good relationship with the company, then turn around and get totally screwed. Just shows how mike treats the working man. The guys didn't even take off my license plate to clean underneath!!!! That is completely UNACCEPTABLE!!! I would not recommend doing business with a company that I cannot trust. Oh, and mike, you have my gd number. Things were so much better when Ryan was working there. I had previously taken my car to 2 separate Audi dealers to get some scratches and scuffs removed from the paint. Both dealers basically used a "glaze" approach which essentially temporarily covers the scratches as opposed to removing them. After 2-3 car washes the paint damage was visible again. Mike at Man Cave fixed the scratches properly. I was a bit surprised and frustrated at the quality of the "back alley" detailing done by the Audi dealerships. If you want paint scratches and scuffs fixed properly, talk to Mike at Man Cave. He's a personable guy and a true "car guy." We usually do the ceramic coating for our cars at home. The pollen kept getting on my car making it virtually impossible to do it outside on the driveway. We took the car to Man Cave for ceramic coating. It's a little expensive but it's guaranteed for 5 years. I wasn't happy with the coating at first as the car was getting dusty very easily. I talked to Mike the owner anout my concerns. they washed it and applied a top coat and now the water and dust just roll off my car. And it's so shiny. I brought my Honda Crosstour in for a detail and some paint repair last year. I couldn't have been more disappointed in the service. I picked up the car and the cup holders in the front seat hadn't even been cleaned. The back hatch area was not vacuumed even though I left the panels open so it would be obvious. Paint touch ups were sloppy and wrinkled. I could have done a better job myself. I brought the car back to the owner and he was obviously frustrated with his employees but honestly, I did not take him up on his offer to leave the car there another days as he'd been running behind and had it a couple days already. Employees should be trained to respect every car that comes through the door - they're all big investments whether it's a Subaru or a Benz. Save your money and go to the $30 wash and detail at the gas station across from Flatirons Mall. read more

I brought my vehicle in for a full "car show" interior and exterior detail with ceramic coating - which I was quoted $1,300. Before leaving my car with the shop, we took a walk around the car and the shop owner noted all of the imperfections that they would fix. A few scratches here and there, I requested that they remove the dealership decals, etc. I also made sure that they would clean and condition the leather. When I got my car back, I was in a hurry to get back to work so I was unable to do a full walkthrough, but it was evident basically immediately that all they had done is wipe down the interior. There was still some light staining on the leather that would easily have come off with cleaner, and leather that has been conditioned feels a lot more supple (I know because I did it myself a couple of weeks after and the difference was night and day). There was essentially no difference to the leather before and after the car was dropped off. I did a better job cleaning my interior in an hour and a half than they did in 1.5 days with the car. There was still some dirt/dust on the rubber mats, there was obviously no attempt to repair the exterior scratches, and the decals were not removed. I also paid $50/wheel for ceramic coating, but have not noticed any difference before and after, and feel like I was just upsold this service. This was definitely not the service quality and attention to detail that I would expect for a $1,300 service. I would never return to this shop and would not recommend anyone taking their vehicle there. read more

I can't review the actual service since we did not receive any, but can provide a solid account of their service recovery and organizational skills. I made an appointment for detail as a surprise gift for my husband on his birthday. The man scheduling the appointment was pleasant and got us on the books, telling us to arrive at open, and we would be the first appointment. When we entered the store and announced our appointment, we were greeted with, "Uh, no... I'm the only one here today. That's going to be a problem." After checking the computer, it was confirmed that we were scheduled, but because of communication breakdown and a devastating condition that renders one incapable of reading a schedule, we were told, "You have to understand, I'm in a bad position here, and there's nothing i could do to fix this." Asking the client to understand your position as a representative of the shop is pitiful customer service, and the failure to offer any alternatives made it very clear he was not interested in our business, despite the large sum of money we were prepared to pay. We left, went across the street to The Wave, got right in without an appointment, received twice the product for the price we would have paid at the Man Cave and experienced exceptional customer service. read more

OK, if you don't want to read the whole review then...The Man Cave is outstanding and they did an excellent job on applying a gorgeous ceramic glass coat to my white Jaguar F-Type R. Now, if you want details. I purchased my Jaguar F-Type R in early January this year. This is a big purchase for me as opposed to some multi millionaire just grabbing a car... so...to say I am protective about it is an understatement. I definitely have trust issues when it comes to anyone touching my car so shopping the right detailer was important to me. After reading reviews for many detailers on various sites I decided to give The Man Cave a call. The very few less then favorable reviews (the vast majority were very positive) were answered by the owner who attempted to correct any apparent problem. It almost appeared to be a competitor trying to throw in a bad review. I'm not sure but every interaction I had was professional and very courteous. After my research I called and spoke with Ryan. He answered all of my questions and explained my options. I stopped by to show him the car so he could see it and give his opinion on the best product. He was patient with my obvious protective owner syndrome and accommodated my schedule, which included a change in dates due to work. He could not have been nicer. I brought in my car on Feb. 16th which was in great shape but it did have some paint swirls you could see at certain angles from my washing it a few times as well as the Jag dealers washes. He was again super nice and they took great care of me and my car. I left it for the day, which was great weather and 72 degrees, so the finish could cure some and it was ready earlier then my pick up time. The car looked like a mirror and it only got better a few days later as the coat cured. The attention to detail on where they applied the coating was excellent. Ryan never tried to upswell or make an excuse to charge more and the price was great and exactly what he quoted from the first phone call. The paint swirls are gone and no matter what angle you look from the car looks amazing! When I picked it up I noticed they even cleaned the interior and under the hood even though I only purchase the exterior ceramic coat. Ryan and The Man Cave have earned a lifetime customer. They made me feel like they cared about me and my car and not just the money. I am going to have them wrap a couple of trim pieces and they will be my go to detailer.
