BEWARE! My 1968 Chevy super rare CST C-10 truck was damaged by these guys. They pretend they are experts, but don't let 'em kid you!!! I asked them to install a OEM steering wheel with Super rare factory glass horn button. Instead of telling me they couldn't do it correctly, they cut up a extremely rare part & rigged it up to try to make it work. then they slapped me with $175 per man hour for six hours for them to try to figure it out & and they never did! A nearby auto glass business encouraged me, said he'd had good experiences at Precision Auto Works. I dropped in and told Robert what I needed and he came out and inspected my fender and door damage. Within 15 minutes I had a very reasonable written estimate and an appointment within two weeks. They found a replacement fender (after sending a poor quality one back), repaired my door damage and did an excellent job of painting. All of the staff that I interacted with were very helpful and friendly. I couldn't be happier with my experience. They also did a perfect job of tinting my windows. ! BUYER BEWARE ! I dealt with Robert the manager. He looked at my vehicle and said he would provide a quote but I did not hear back. I called and left a message with no return phone call. I then called and got ahold of him only to be treated rudely and told if I did not like his process I was welcome to go elsewhere. I laughed because I could not believe how rude he was he said that laugh was all he needed to hear and hung up on me. It is clear this company does not have respect for individual customers and treats people as if it is a privilege to do business with them. UPDATE: The company's response is a lie. When asked who authorized the repairs I clearly stated Mark from State Farm the regional manager who I have been dealing with personally authorized it. Furthermore I stated I would pay out of pocket and recover from State Farm if necessary as the most important thing was to acquire the back ordered parts now available and avoid another 6 month wait for the wiring harness. Not only is the management of precision auto works rude but they are willing to lie to and about customers. Looking at other reviews there is a clear pattern of them giving unrealistic prices and time lines to customers only to charge them more or take 2 to 10 times longer than orgigionally stated. And as far as you calling me a keyboard Killer, I have no problem discussing this in person if you think it will resolve things.....just say where.... read more

I recently (in August) had my front windows tinted at Precision Auto Works. I was told the process would take no more than an hour and that bubbling within the first several days was normal. The process took over 2 hours to complete (and I had to go up to the counter to ask about the status of my car) and after a month, the tinting is badly peeling off on my right window. Furthermore, after the process was complete, my car door was dripping in fluid leaving an intense chemical smell in my car for the next week. Needless to say, I am extremely dissatisfied with my customer service experience (he left my car dirtier than I came in with) and service (tint pealing after a month). I came here because my dealership couldn't get me in during the fiasco with the thousands of hail claims after the 2017 May hailstorm. I felt confident leaving my new car with them after the initial phone call and in person discussion at drop off. I was told there would be an update call after a week so I would have a better idea of how much longer it would be. This was important because I had to rent a car and an open ended rental was not in my budget. I didn't hear from them but about a week and a half later they called and said it was time to come pick up my car. It was ready! It was 3pm on a Friday and I had to be there before 5 because they close for the weekend. So with no notice I leave work early, pick up a friend to drive the extra car, and drive north 30minutes. I hit traffic so I call to tell them I was 15 minutes away, hopefully they would stay for an extra 5 minutes for me to pick up. They said not a problem. I arrive. THEY TELL ME MY CAR IS NOT READY. I don't think I need to explain my frustration. I talked to them 15 minutes ago, nothing. I talked to them 2 hours ago, they said it was ready. They had ordered the wrong headlight and hadn't installed it yet when they called to say it was ready. A week later I picked up my car. I can chalk it up to an honest mistake, which is why I've waited so long to write this review. But it has honestly pissed me off for months that after all that, they left my car dirty, hand and foot prints inside the car, on the windshield, on the upholstery, etc. with some greyish substance. I'm not saying they should have discounted my bill, but done something, anything, to show they were sorry for the inconvenience. I won't return, and I've advised people against going here. Perhaps it was an uncommon mistake, and if you want to go here, make sure when they say it's ready, you ask them to double check. read more

This place over promises and under delivers. If you're not driving an expensive car or spending a considerable amount of money with this company they treat you poorly. They don't return phone calls. They are slow getting to your car. They had my car for over a month and when I told them my rental was going to run out with my insurance company and I needed my car they acted like it was all a big joke. My son took his car in there and he was less than pleased with the results he got about a year ago. I should have listened to him and gone elsewhere. I've learned my lesson. read more

When I questioned him on it, he threatened not to allow my truck out of his facility, unless I paid him storage fees, and a $150 'administrative fee' that he admitted was made up- but, as he said - he can charge me what he likes. He then required I drive to Broomfield to pay the bogus charges in cash- as, he said - 'he didn't want me to control the narrative'. I recommend anyone needing vehicle work AVOID Precision Auto Works. Robert, the general manager, is unprofessional and his behavior is downright disturbing. Robert had my car for a week and a half, still had performed no work, and became aggressive, using profanity and accusing my husband of being unappreciative, when we were disappointed that he was telling us it would take another 5 days before it might be done. As soon as he heard disappointment in my husband's voice with his "ok" response, Robert began his outburst. He then shouted that he would return all the OEM parts and suggested he would use subpar parts to complete the work. He also hung up on us. He had not communicated with us for over a week, so this was a call made on the day we thought we were supposed to pick the car up given his initial promised date. I was so alarmed by his behavior, we immediately went to pick up my car and take it to a professional shop. After Robert's behavior on the phone, I was truly concerned he would damage my vehicle. Of course, Robert held my car hostage until I paid him $312. This included a charge for 3 hours of labor for what he said was "teardown" and a $150 admin fee. I've seen several other reviews from people who had similar experiences that I wish I would have seen before taking my car here. I also find it alarming that Robert chooses to write a novel detailing personal information and criticizing customers who choose to point out Robert's unprofessional behavior or other issues with the shop. It underscores his lack of professionalism. In the end, the entire problem with this shop is Robert's temper, which flares for no apparent reason, and left me feeling that I had left my vehicle, a very valuable possession, in the hands of someone who is, at best, unprofessional and, at worst, unstable. UPDATE - Within 24 hours I received an email from Robert threatening legal action if I did not remove this review within 24 hours, calling it slander, and claiming he had spoken with his attorney. I see he has also responded to this review, claiming there is pending legal action and stating that "C.R.S. 18-13-105 made it a Class 6 felony to publish a false statement that impeaches the honesty, integrity, virtue or reputation of a living person." While it is true that C.R.S. 18-13-105 did make libel a class 6 felony, it was repealed in 2012. Further, written statements are libel, not slander. For these reasons, I seriously doubt an attorney was contacted. I wonder how many other honest, negative reviews there would be if this dishonest and unethical company didn't threaten negative reviewers with legal action. I hope others do not allow this company to bully them into removing honest reviews. read more

They did my Legend years ago when they only had one bay, and I never heard of yelp, much less a smart phone... (the 90's?) and now they occupy much of the warehouse spaces.. They also did it for much less than other places I had checked. They worked very easily and quickly with my insurance. Go elsewhere if you need body work done on your vehicle. I needed my truck cab driver side, hood and roof painted. I was quoted a price and told it would take 2-3 weeks. Four, yes FOUR months later I get my truck back. They tried to charge me for new batteries because they had clearly not disconnected them while my truck was parked for weeks in their lot. They swallowed that charge which I am grateful for. BUT, they lost the outside side trim of the cab (will cost me $100-200 to replace) and also the driver door lock seems broken, so to unlock the door I have to climb in through the passenger side. Whoever put the door back together messed something up. This was working just fine when I dropped the truck off 4 months earlier. I now have to spend an afternoon taking the door apart and fixing the problem. I will probably have to bite the cost if i need new parts, and if I can't figure it out, the Ford dealer will charge me a fortune to have it fixed. They might be good for window tint, but cannot be trusted for any paint work from what I have seen. It's a shame, because Rod (the owner) seems such a great guy. Maybe he isn't aware of the work being done at his shop. read more

To paraphrase Yogi Berra, "This place is so busy, no one goes there". This place is too busy to deal with you. Here is my terrible story. Hail damage came to my Jetta in July. I had hail damage the year before and dealt with SVE Auto. They did good work, but they never answered their phone and I had to act as a liaison between my claims adjuster and them. It was a pain, but I got my car in a week in clean, great shape. I called Precision Auto Works because I did not want to go through the hassle of making constant phone calls between my adjuster and the body shop. At Precision, they always either answered the phone or got back to me quickly. I liked that. I had to wait 7 weeks for my appointment, which was fine because I wanted it to be done quickly once it was in the shop. I drop off my car on Monday. On Wednesday (day 2), I had not heard anything and called them. After being on hold, I was told that the car may be ready by Friday. Great, that was how long it took at the other body shop. On Friday(day 4), no call; so I called them. I left a message, no call back. Monday(day 7) was a holiday so I expected a call on Tuesday (day 8). No call, so I called Wednesday morning(day 9) and left a message. Again, no call back, so I called back Thursday (day 10) and left an irritated message about not getting any call backs, and why is my car still there? No call back, so I call and call until I reached someone. I reached the assistant manager who proceeds to yell at me and hangs up (really, this happened). I called back Friday (day 11) and FINALLY talked to the owner. He apologized and explained that my visor (they broke it) broke and he was waiting on the part. Also, the claims adjuster never got back to him about additional costs. Now, I'm trying not to flip out. He KNOWS my claims adjuster's phone number and email address, so WHAT"S THE PROBLEM? (Later I find out my claims adjuster was NEVER called and the shop sent the info to the wrong email address). At this point in time, I realized that I'm in a predicament, like when you get stopped by the cops and know that they can make your life miserable if they want. They have my car and I need a visor. So, politely I wait for the part to come in. Tuesday afternoon (day15) I get the call that the part came in. Wednesday (day16) they call back and say it is the wrong side and have to get another one. I then ask if I can get the car on Friday (day 17) without the visor because I have been renting a car this whole time. They said that was fine but give them a couple of hours to clean up the car. So,I pay my $4,000 bill. They again apologize. They blamed the parts guy. They blamed the lack of oversight on the fact that they were so busy. Never ONCE did they take any blame. At least I can expect a clean car without a visor. The car was TRASHED. The car was filthy outside. Food wrappers and miscellaneous auto parts laying around on the inside AND there were still dents on the car. So next Wednesday (day 22), I get a call that the visor came in. I drove down to the shop and again, they ordered the wrong part. They said they will call when the right part came in. Day 31, I am writing this review, never got a call back that they got the right part (that they broke). That is alright though because after they screwed up the part the last time, I decided to see how hard it was to get a new visor. I drove to VW and got the part that day and put it on myself. This is a TERRIBLE place to get work done. read more

Buyer Beware! I called about hail damage repair in May 2017. Brought my car in later that day and based on the great yelp reviews and the conversation I had in person with "Bear", I left feeling I was in good hands. Unfortunately, 5 months later and the only thing fixed is my windshield which another company replaced at my residence after I called and made the appointment. The only thing to date that Tammy and Rod have provided me with is stress, grief, lies, and the willingness to blatantly overcharge for a service they didn't provide. So now they want me to pay them $350 for replacing a windshield they didn't replace. When I asked where they came up with that amount, the response was that was what was quoted. Interesting because I never received a quote or signed any kind of estimate from Precision. When I asked for a copy of the quote, they referenced my insurance estimate which I provided them durning my initial visit. On the estimate, my insurer estimated the replacement to cost $325. I asked again why $350 and then was told I needed to pay $325 because that is what is on my insurance estimate. Wait, what?! When asked what I am willing to pay, I responded I was very happy to pay what it cost - $250. But Precision was not willing to work with me and Rod the owner informed me that they can charge me whatever amount they want because they are a "business"! Wow, with that kind of customer service I don't know how they can be a very successful business. All I can do now is warn other potential customers to STAY AWAY!! Unless you want to be overcharged, continually lied to, and harassed on the phone to pay an arbitrary amount without ever receiving a bill or invoice. read more

I say almost because they didn't complete the work, one of the scratches was not finished and they told me to schedule another appointment to have it completed. It wasn't worth my time spending another few days to complete part of the work that I paid them to do. read more

Recently moved into the area and got a minor scrape on my fender and popped a piece of trim. I called Precision and Rod told me to bring it in as soon as I wanted to- no waiting weeks for an appointment like some of the other shops. When I was there, Rod decided he could fix it then and there- reattached the trim, and buffed out the scrape. Looks like new. When I asked how much, Rod sent me on my way with best wishes- no charge! I see that they do window tinting and self healing paint protection work too, so I'm definitely going to give him my business next time. Highly recommended. read more

In the past, Precision has been a great company to work with. I previously worked with Tammy (estimator) and couldn't have been happier with the service. Referred friends to Precision because of the level of professionalism and quality of repair. That reality changed. Robert is now the general manager and communication started off pleasant enough with his willingness to help and provide good customer service and then things went downhill. The process to fix my BMW was long and I understand that more extensive damage was done than was originally estimated and that parts had to be ordered from BMW. I was patient and kind in my communication regarding the timeframe. Things went sour when I called (on day 17, was originally quoted 5 days) and inquired as to what the updated timeframe was expected to be. I let Robert know that I was expecting his call two days prior (as he had promised to do) and he immediately unleashed due to my questioning. He let me know that I was being ungrateful and that if I wrote a negative review he would destroy me online since he figured I owned a business of my own. He also threatened to keep my car for an extra week or two since I was seemingly being impatient and again, ungrateful. He also denied me the opportunity to speak with the owner because he didn't want this escalated. I was calling for an update since no one was calling me with one. I wasn't calling to wreak havoc. Not my style. Robert did send an email the following day to apologize briefly and then went on for 20 lines to defend his position. Happy to post the letter if it's of interest. I'm grateful for the work that was done to my car. It turned out well. I caution customers to be discerning before engaging with this company though. No doubt the work is good but the hassle doesn't seem worth it. I'd happily be a customer again as long as Robert isn't the GM. read more
